Ok so lastnight I'm pretty certain that I managed to come pretty close to astral projecting.
It was about 1am, I was meditating for a while and just tried to relax my entire body while telling my self over and over, i am oneness, i am light, l will astral project - until it was like a broken record in my head. Then I kind of gave up after about 15 minutes and turned onto my side and tried going to sleep.
I then felt like a sudden jolt hit my body and i suddenly was experiencing alot of closed eye visuals which looked like a million orange lights similar to a kaleidoscope, all pulsating. Within these lights a few sets of eyes and faces began to form that seemed as though they we're looking at me. I then felt as if i was soaring at lightening speeds through a star field and it was pretty intense. More eyes of all different shapes we're forming in the corners of my vision which was a little scary as I was still rocketing through the stars. I was unsure if I was transcending into the astral realm or not but tried to focus on what was happening. This went on for about a minute or two until I vividly heard someone calling my name, I suddenly awoke and opened my eyes to see if someone was in the room, but there was nobody there. I was a bit freaked out by this, I then tried to get back to where I left off but with no luck.
I didn't feel like I was out of my body but I'm assuming this was the starting point to astral travel. Hopefully I can try again tonight and maintain in this state until I'm able to fully project!
