Hi Steppenwolf,

I've never had that experience but hope to oneday, its just never been my priority[I've never really been out long enough to sit and ponder"whats next" though im looking forward to it!]
Look to the back of Mr Bruces book under Akashic records.I personaly have'nt read it myself as i've only started reading his book.If you do not have his book,i'd highly recomend you get it just from what little I have read through.
P.S,Its the largest chapter dedicated to the Akashic records i've ever seen.

Peace,Andy

Yep - I have the book and it's an awesome read.  Unfortunately I don't remember it saying anything much about reincarnation, except that some natural skills and talents might be in reward for things done in previous lives.

Greetings SteppenWolf!

Where you "Born to be Wild" as per the song from the great group of the same name

That gives you a clue to my age Anyone remember Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Kinks etc.?

Thanks for your post in this thread. I don't think inherent skills and talents of this sort are a "reward" as such for the work of previous lives, but rather than an accumulation of knowledge and skills (and Karma) from previous lives (which I suppose is a reward in that sense). The more you strive for, and achieve spiritual perfection and skills, the more you will take forward and on with you to future incarnations.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Hallo!

No I'm later than the song - just a wee bit.  I do love obscure 60's and 70's music though - especially the "Vampyros Lesbos" album and Ananda Shankar.  Luckily trashy movies from back then are resurfacing in cult movie festivals these days and so I get my fix of cheesy lounge music every year.

And Hermann Hesse's "SteppenWolf" tag is more a subtle reference to my past life which I'd love to visit once I get out.

Cheers!

Dear SteppenWolf,

I have definitely had past life flashes almost like remote viewing experiences.  In one I saw myself standing at the bottom of a stairwell by the front door. I was dressed in a black dress.  The room that was used to greet people (I think they use to call it a drawing room?) was behind me.  The den or library room was across from me with the door closed.  I was looking up the stairs to a railed landing and there were rooms upstairs.  My son (I think) was coming out of the door in the type of clothes boys use to wear to go to boarding school. I remember being quite shocked that so young a boy would be going to school he looked no more than 6 years old and suddenly was back in my own time.  My mother later confirmed that boys indeed use to go to board school this young.  I have only had this happen a few times.  I see through the eyes of a person but if feels like a movie playing itself out.

But the most surprising was when I viewed or OBE'ed into the future.  Everyone I have ever heard from says that the past life views are more real then future views but for me it was the complete reverse.  When I saw this future event (still in my lifetime) it was so vivid and long lasting I thought I had projected. My past life views were vivid but lasted a very short time but it did not feel the same (perhaps because the future view was still within my lifetime).

Love and Light to the One and All,
Violet

Greetings Violet!

Thank you very much for that fascinating past-life account!

I have a question first. I have noticed that most people who review part lives, see themselves as the same gender as their current life. Has anyone reviewed past lives and seen themselves as the other sex to their current life gender?

As for boarding school - absolutely children of that age in Britain were sent to boarding school. I believe it was quite a common practice among the wealthier classes.

Finally - I don't see why viewing the past and future should be any different in clarity. At the very top of the dimensional space-time continuum, or the "eternal now", is everything, everywhere, that has happened, is happening and ever will happen. And so, assuming you can tune into the appropriate future signal, I see no reason why it should be not as vivid as the past. The only observation I can make to account for any such differences is that we know what the past looks like in general terms, but not the future which, from a present standpoint, would be more subjective. But, at the final analysis, if you are indeed locked into that future signal, it should be true.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Dear Adrian,

I think people do not talk about past lives as the opposite sex because it is just a little 'bizarre?'.  In my second life view ever I was walking up a spiral staircase in a castle I had the feeling I was in Germany.  I then came to a small landing where a very pretty girl got up with a big smile and came to hug me.  I suddenly realized I was a guy and in a bit of a shock snapped out of this view.  I was a little...hmmm....surprised!  I also had a very brief glimpse of another life of abject poverty.  This was more of a flash then a view and yet I think this was one of my most important lifes.  It came to me when I was wondering why I seemed to understand the importance of humility yet self-respect so well.  The other life views came to me when I was wondering how I knew someone.  I did not try to see any of these...they just sort of came out of the blue when I was relaxing and just wondering.  The future veiw was the most profound for I was concerned for my daughter.  This view let me know I had nothing to worried about and still to this day I feel it was a great gift that I was given this glimpse of my daughters future.

Love and Light to the One and All,
Violet

Hey Violet -

That was really something.  What time period did you see these as being?  (Reply off-line if you prefer - I just love hearing about people's past lives...)

And Adrian, it seems to be less common for people to change sex, but it happens a lot.  At least 3 females I know on the net were men last time round.  Here's one woman's male past life memories:

I was listening to a past life casette and I fell asleep I had glimpses of what I belive were past lives.  1.  I was a man with a rugged face in the west and had cowboy hat and looked like marlboro man.  2 I was a man painting on some egyptian stones.  3 I was a women and had 2 other women who were helping me get dressed I think it was another egyptian scene.  They came in succession and it was like I was a camera coming into view and getting a few moments in there life.   Another account I had was a very vivid dream almost lucid where i was back in my bed as a kid and in corner of room I saw a another child then there was this rotating faceted thing that had a picture of a person on it and it came in front of my face and rotated I remember 1 vividly it was a of a woman who looked like a poor vietnam farmer.  I also had 1 other 1 that was very weird.  I went to bed and was trying my then out of body technique i was very relaxed and was just thinking of past lives.  I didnt fall asleep but got a very vivid experience.  I was in a village and or village was being attacked by people on horse back.  I grapped a bow and arrown and shot a guy then a rider came by and struck me.  I felt the blow but i felt very distanced from it.  He got off his horse and had a raised axe and I saw his face bearded with some type of leather armour and a helmet.  I then thot today is a good day to die and the axe came down and I went out of it.  Dream or actual account dont know but it felt real.

I had a dream a long time ago that I was watching myself on a TV. Funny thing was, the person (me) on TV was a man-he was climbing a mountain. I'm a female (& can't remember how young I was at the time). But I KNEW that the mountain climbing man was ME!
Then a couple years ago I read a book by (or about) Edgar Cayce where he said that if you dream about yourself as a different person, that's you in one of your previous lives. That's how I came to believe in reincarnation.

Dear SteppenWolf,

Unfortunately I can not put any real date to these scenes.  I suppose if I really tried to match the clothing to the era and the articles around me I could get a rough estimate but I have never bothered to try.  The boarding school one seemed to fall somewhere around late 1800's to early 1900's but that is just a guess.  Sorry I could not be more precise.

Regards,
Violet

Recently I tried an exercise in which as I was going to sleep I slowly progressed through my life back to my childhood and back back back.  When I fell asleep it wasn't long before I became aware that I was re-living a past life in which I was a young boy living in Spain.  My brother there was the same person as my brother now (however he looked different) and my mother then was different as well.  While I was reliving this I asked myself why my brother had always been so Jealous of me... suddenly the scene changed and I was a young black african man about to be married.  My brother then was the same as my brother now and he was jealous at my getting married and he had not been able to find a wife.  He lived the rest of his life without having found a wife and was always jealous of me because things seemed to go my way.  In this life now things are very similar.  While things don't ALWAYS go my way, I have enjoyed moderate success in life.  My brother has always been jealous of me from our youth up.  Interestingly, in this life now he also has problems finding girlfriends and when he does they are very short lived relationships.  Also interesting is that when he does enter into a relationship, for that short amount of time he seems to transform and treat me like a brother rather than a rival.  I didn't quite know what to make of it when I woke up.  I had still been a little hesitant to believe in reincarnation fully... however the reliving of parts of those lives was so vivid that I have a hard time NOT believing in something like that now.

Wow - that's really something!  I'll have to try that technique...  Sad about your brother's long-time predicament.  Perhaps he just needs to learn to lose the envy?

Cheers!

Wow - very timely question (for me anyway). Several weeks ago I had a very powerful (ie. vivid and emotionally intense) dream containing some answers to that question. This is unusual because I will be lucky to remember 1-2 dreams a week (lack of sleep, etc). I have since thought that this may have been an Akashic Pulse episode, becuase a number of miscellaneous details were very different about it.

I became conscious standing behind an open cart, fairly large, seemed to be drawn by horse. The scenery was vague, but I knew to my immediate left there was a cobblestone road running parallel, and it seemed to my 21-st century mind (now) to be "olden style". I was almost hunched over the open back of the cart, and was crying to myself, wondering where my soul mate was. It seemed that I was in emotional crisis at that moment (which is strange because that question doesn't bother me in my current "real" life). Anyway, just as I had asked the question, I turned and looked down the cobblestone road, and across the street just a little bit down I saw a girl dressed all in black, like an Amish would wear. She came bounding towards me, leaping very high across the road, and seemed full of life, a real spark of goodness and beauty, and I could sense she had a wonderful soul. She was my soul mate, and I knew we were very close in that life. As she approached, I recognised her - it was the face of someone I know in this life!! A very precious and wonderful family member of mine. She looked at me and said with a smile, "Well, who else did you think it'd be!?". In the dream, she had a different name from her current name - it was "Melinta". I was so overcome with emotion at that point that I fell to the side of the road and started bawling.

I was still emotional when I woke up. I felt an overwhelming sense that I was being shown this for a reason. Until that point, I had been very "unemotional" when considering the greater spiritual truths - since then, I don't think in terms of abilities - "trance", "concentration", "OBE" but also about how spiritual advancement brings life, joy and emotional enrichment to the soul.

The prolog to that above is that I haven't yet told this person that I had that experience, even though she'd certainly understand and acknowledge it. I would like to discuss it first with a talented psychic I know in Sydney first. I'm still unsure whether it was a true past-life memory, "just a dream", or a combination between past-life experiences and my current mental persona....

Time will tell - either way, the universe is full of mystery and wonder.

Joe

PS: Forgot to say that, after this happened, I was perplexed by the name "Melinta". I thought this may be a "spirit" name or some such, but I did a search on the net for it a couple of days ago. To my amazement, only a very few hits came back - I checked out a couple and they were censuses conducted in America around the 1880s!!!! Melinta seemed to be an uncommon girl's name at that time, and there was one record in IA from a census page that I saw and just started crying at. Don't know why... life sure is a mystery.

I read about William Buhlman reliving his last moments as a crew member of a German tank in Russia and I thought that was so amazing!

Anyone else relived a past life moment like that?
