I am not ready

I've been thinkin about it more and more and it seems that the more I think about it, the more memory of it I regain.  I remember it was in a desert....a pyramid was nearby which I thought was odd....
I remember the sand being warm, and was swept by the wind so it had that pattern on the sand..if that makes sense.

Odd stuff!

Here is my experience, now that I have more time to type it out.

I was laying down on my bed meditating when I felt in contact with the astral. I am not sure how to describe it exactly because I was fully aware of my physical body and yet my astral body at the same time. I was looking into darkness when this ring appeared. It seemed to be an entrance to a world. I was curious so I went to check it out, never actually leaving contact with the physical. The ring drifted closer and as I looked into it everything inside was distorted. It is really hard to discribe. It was kind of like looking through a collection of drops of water. I felt confusion coming from it and the more I looked and the closer I got to it the more confused I felt. I was never afraid, but very curious about it. As I was about to "step" out of my physical body and into the ring a voice told me "You are not ready" and I stopped. I was actually freaked out because that was the first time I ever heard anyone talk to me. I am not sure who it was, but I do think that I was not ready for that area because it is pretty clear to me that I would have allowed the confusion to quickly over take me once inside and the experience would have been short lived. Much better experience having brief contact with some ... thing I think.

Strange happening last night.  I was in a state of either dream or astral or lucid, wasn't really sure, though it was more lucid then a dream, and I remember trying to go somehwere, odnt' know where, then a message flashed in front of my eyes, like on a road sign you would see a warning on, it said "you are not ready" and said that i was losing alot of energy...too much for what was too happen.....any ideas on this??
