mind melding

Has anyone travelled through someone else's mind before?
I was sitting with my friend and i felt an urge to put my hand out and hold her wrist.  i thought it would just be a momentary thing, but we stayed like that.  soon, i felt myself drifting away from my circular flesh and then i was having an outer body experience.  it was full of a warm yellow, with a warm, shallow red fighting it, where my hand connected to her wrist (it wasn't really a hand to wrist thing anymore, it was more like there was a ball of yellow that was lifting me up and running through me.)  i was in a wheat field and i heard people laughing and falling among the tall tall stalks of wheat, and i was in the kitchen, a warm yellow kitchen with laughter and love and baking.  then i was travelling down a triangular-ish tunnel.  i knew i wasn't in my body because my tunnels are always always completely circular.  i can't explain how much i was learning about my friend at the time, but it was an intense journey.  and she said she felt me leave my body.  she told me that she identifies completely with yellow and shies away a lot from red.  i was talking to her about my journey while i was having it.  that happened once before, when i was with some friends smoking on a roof and talking about the third eye and gazing beyond stars to find it.  
since then, i've felt the urge to lay my hands on people sometimes, especially if i sensed that they were in pain.  i felt like there was something instructing me on what to do...
i don't know what to do because it feels like this journey is just beginning...i would love some instruction if anyone knows about this...
