I have never read anything that indicated that other people have experienced this but when I project to the world I usually visit I tend to get involved in the government of the different countries in that world. Granted I work in politics so maybe that's just what I naturally gravitate towards but I was curious if anyone else had similar experiences. In the world I typically go to monarchy is the norm, despite the countries having modern, even in some cases futuristic technology, democracy just isn't a concept and I've tried to explain it but most people there just can't wrap their heads around it. The political intrigue in the royal courts is always interesting.

Were there any socialist type governments?

In the only world I have been in enough to really know not that I've seen personally. The most common economic system I've seen isn't socialism but its not quite capitalism either. It's more like mercantilism. Some countries are more strict in controlling their economies than others but in general most governments there keep tight control over the economy, particularly international trade. I impressed one kingdom enough where they made me an advisor while I can visit and later co-king, but that's another story, but I've been able to reform the system a little which has benefited the kingdom but its hard to fundamentally change how people think about the economy and the role of government. Imagine trying to explain capitalism or socialism to a society that has never heard of either.

That being said, I'm curious how one country will turn out. During a period of extended instability a particularly violent man seized power and executed the rest of the nobility to ensure no one could challenge him. He was eventually overthrown by a popular uprising and they still have a monarchy, when they are actually stable, but they have come from non-noble backgrounds so I'm curious if that will change their ideology at all.

Aside from that some areas are tribal or even in complete anarchy. But those are generally very far away from the kingdoms I mentioned above. That's not to say there aren't socialist systems in other worlds, we are talking about infinite possibilities. There are likely socialist societies, Ayn Rand inspired capitalist ones, and everything in between and things we probably have never thought of.

We need to remember that in a lot of the planets they have preserved both the knowledge and the works of the ancient gods, so they may still pretty much live in ritualistic societies.

They have the great advantage of having a complete tens of millennia old history of their culture, compared to us whose history is only a few hundred years old. And even then, if you look at a picture of a city 100 years ago, it is like it was a totally different civilization living there. And indeed it was.

Those who, unlike here on Earth, didn't suffer the major catastrophes that destroyed the nations, didn't have to start from scratch like earthly humans had. For that reason the concept of development can be strange to some. We can only develop things while we think we haven't achieved what is truly good, since it is usually the need and the dissatisfaction that compels us to change.

The earth can be considered a degenerated world, where many people live their lives completely oblivious to their true history and the powers above.

Which world is this in which you project to? Does this world exist only in the astral plane, and are all the beings on this world astral entities?

Thanks for this post. My own observation regarding dreams (recalled dreams, lucid dreams) is that the  world I always end up landing in is centered exclusively on my waking life experience. I am a white male of European descent, I have done my military service, I was married several times, I had children, I was a senior bureaucrat...etc, etc. The towns I spend my dreams in look very much like contemporary Western towns, the feelings, anxieties, joys I remember are comparable to those of my waking life. There are differences however. The dream world streets, buildings are often less glamorous that what is am surrounded with in waking life. The characters I meet professionaly or otherwise are more laid back. And the main thing which applies to people and the physical environment is  the  apparent distorted logic and lack of sequential order (non sequitur). All this to say that  life in the dream world or astral IMO is an unescapable mirror of life in the physical world. smiley

It's not always like our Earth. Here's an example of one environment with a different political structure.

I can find others I've posted that have political issues if interested.

My guess is that the preference for monarchy only reflects a higher spiritual environment, enabling more emphasis on the aesthetic dimension of power rather than the purely political side of it.

Here on Earth, we need democracy (or at least some form of parliamentarism) and lots of checks and balances on power, simply because we humans are selfish, jealous, power hungry beasts, easily fooled, ready to take advantage of each other or being cowed and manipulated by politically correct bans on honest opinion. There is also material deprivation that doesn't exist over there.

I'm pleased to learn this. I'd prefer monarchy myself if people were only as enlightened and unselfish as me. wink

I guess people are afraid of change.

My bet is that sometimes people simply don't need change.

Watch this, and ask yourself for a moment what side is actually representing a higher state of spiritual existence. It's fun pondering anyhow. wink
