As I've said before in on this board. I've been attempting OBE's through lucid dreams.
I usually get the vibrations but don't exit and end up waking up.

This morning I became lucid, did the flying thing and decided to try it again.
So in the lucid dream I just stand still no emotion no thought and everything
begins to melt away. I look at my hands and the y are melting away, which is good,
because I know I'm heading for a possible AP. So I'm floating and spinning, rather slow.
I'm calm as can be, not focusing on me or my body just waiting open to just enter
into an AP. I think I should be concentrating on a location, which I will do next time.

Here's the thing. I did not have the vibrations or the buzzing, but I did hear voices,
the voices were around me, but then it turned into a radio station(I did not have a radio near by)
then I woke up. So, was I closer, further, or the same as when I have the vibrations. I've heard about the voices.
I don't know if the voices come right before exiting, after? This is the first time.

I was able to get to F21 (3D blackness by monroe standards) from a lucid dream several times by finding a mirror and walking or floating into it. I did this several times and it has been my only way, so far, to make it to astral projection from a lucid dream.  I experience no vibrations or buzzing when using this method.

Well I've tried the fully awake laying down on my back and going into a trance method
a hundred times easy, to no avail, but the lucid dream to AP method has brought me
to the vibration stage 5 out of 6 times and to the voices on the 6th try.

So, I'm happy that the method has huge potential, I just have to learn to exit.
I'm really already there if you think about it and I can melt the dream scenery away
and go into some vortex, but always wake up from there, which is frustrating.

Hi sublimy!

Converting Lucid Dreams into Projections is pretty much my only successful method of projecting at the moment.
And I can tell you that the only reason you're experiencing "vibrations" are because you're expecting to.

When you're dreaming, you're already past the point of feeling vibrations, you shouldn't be experiencing them at all.

What you need to realize is "WHAT" a dream really is.
A Dream, Lucid Dream and Astral Projection are all the same thing.  The only difference between them lies in how consciously aware *you* are.
It really does sound like you were almost FULLY consciously aware.

There won't be any "lights" or "signs" that pop up saying, "CONGRATULATION!  You're now astral projecting!"... because it's all in how aware YOU feel.
THAT is the sign post.  YOUR conscious awareness.

I hope that helps some.  Smiley

Ryan, thanks! I am very conscious. I'm having inner monoloque as clear as anything.
I stop it when I change to AP or my attempt intp AP. I am very aware.

Ok, so we can just dismiss the vibrations. It seems I am somewhere in between
something. I'm always floating or spinning or going down some hole and it's always dark
and there are either vibrations or now, voices. I should concentrate on a place to go.
Am I right about this? I've been waiting too long to just end up in my bed room to
look at myself, but I'll take it just to know I can get to that point but my goals are to
do something good with it. I'd also like to visit the records place. askash records or
something like that. I'd like to know what the name is and the phonetic pronounciation.

I still have not ginev up on the traditional method of AP, but it ends up being a form of meditation, which is fine!

To answer the original question, for me, voices doesn't mean I'm ready, just close.  So when  this happens up your noticing response, and be as aware as you can for visuals.  Good luck.

I like Xanths last reply. You might try requesting a "guide".  "Guide" means different things for different people but I am sure you may very well find out what it means for you! It takes a little effort and force of Will to summon your "guide". I allow some emotion to slip into that particular request. It has always paid off.

Thinking of a location can be difficult because, whereas you may have predetermined what the location might be, you may not remember where it was once you are holding your awareness to remain conscious. Does that make sense? I find locations "come" to me more than I would say I come to the location.

I've tried every method in the book from the natural "reality checks" to b6, Valerian root, Galantamine/choline, fish oil, ginkgo,
all the foods and drinks that are supposed to help, banana's, apple juice, on and on. I'm almost obssessed.
The very first one happened over ten years ago and it was natural, but I didn't have them for years after, usually WBTB and
they were always DILD's. I have found, so far, that the Galantamine/choline combo works the best, but I have to wait a week or so in between.
I'm trying to get a few lucid dreams in a week. The ultimate goal would be to have lucid dreams every night. I still have yet to try the
"amino acids combo" found here:  http://www.swansonvitamins.com/NWF168/ItemDetail. In the dreamviews forum, it is suggested that you buy them separately, but I'm going to try the combo first.

I tried most of that stuff too. Galantamine gave me incredible lucids sometimes, but horrible nightmares too, so I stopped taking it.
The amino acid method is supposed to be very effective, but you have to take a lot of pills as I remember.
I think you're definately doing the right thing in trying to convert your lucids to AP's rather than trying to project from scratch.

B-6 works wonders. Clubfoot moss can work as well. I don't recommend anything but I take SAM-e, fishoil - you need high levels of dha/epa, B complex, multivit (best I can afford), alpha lipoic acid, sylmarin, N acetly l cysteine, Vit D, vit E & C and zinc.

Remember to exercise regularly. Drink LOTS of water. Get regular and sufficient sleep. Read daily and try to keep it interesting and stimulating. TV ruins the ability to focus and concentrate so stay away from TV as much as possible. Stay away from addictive substances. ETOH, tobacco and weed deplete GABA and other important neurotransmitters. We all know drugs are bad so I won't waste your time with any further.

If there were a good sustaining OTC, prescription or legal substance that would enhance lucid dreaming I would most likely know about it, honestly, and would share it with everyone. you mostly just need a healthy body and mind. This brings you closer to your "spirit" (or whatever you wanna call it).

Not doing these things will certainly impair your ability and I will guaranty this by my personal experience.
