When you say is it self doubt or fear. It makes me think you do have some fears about projecting. I will say that you never force an OBE. You "go with the flow" if you force it. It will not happen you have to have what is called "will-less will"

Which basically means let your body relax and just relax nothing more nothing less and see what happens. Don't be expecting to AP just relax!
