This morning I woke up, but didn't exactly move my body, so I was still really relaxed. I thought I'd try APing, and the vibrations came. I floated out... and looked back at my body... it wasn't there. I was kinda shocked, since I could put my hand through the walls. "am I dead?" I thought. Then this weird yellow dog-like creature appeared on my bed and said "Your physical body is dead." I felt astral tears on my cheeks. Then I woke up.
I've never seen my physical body. Whenever I've remembered to look, it's not there!! God knows where it is - probably gone off for a wander on its own.
I was still super relaxed and the vibrations came again. I felt myself sinking under my bed. I floated out, and looked at my body again. I was there, and my eyes opened. Then... I realized I was in my bed, watching myself looking at me, and at the same time... I was standing there watching myself in my bed. This confused the hell out of me. Then I started having a conversation with myself.
This is really funny, not just because it's funny (which it is) but because I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Our brains can't quite comprehend that we can actually do this, and yet
at the time it is simply the most natural thing in the world to be not only in two places at the same time, but also be two seemingly separate entities. I once did it with three of me. Don't ask me to explain what's happening when this goes on - I haven't a clue, but it's a whole lot of fun.
Then I my awareness was back in my astral body and I decided to try something new. I imaged that outside my window was API... and as I float through the blinds, I would see it!
It worked!
This happens to me also. My awareness tends to come back to the physical about 3 times, sometimes more, sometimes less, which means I get 3 "goes" at doing something.
That's a damn interesting experience you had there. It sounds like the API in terms of the structure. Everyone's experience of the Island is different, because we all have our own personal "viewpoint" of it. Hmmm, I'm not very good at explaining this. I know Frank posted an explanation. Let me see if I can find it.
While I'm looking, I would say that whenever I go, it tends to be very quiet (apart from my latest jaunt where there was a big party going on!). When Hannah goes, there tends to be lots of people around. So it's hard to say anything for definite. There have been some experiments on the Island, and we've had a few successes. There does seem to be a general consensus with those that have been to the Island that there are "Islanders" that live there (or non-physical people), who are nothing to do with the AP, and in actual fact these Islanders seem to find our journeys amusing. As to why you saw things, perhaps because they were there? The Christmas tree
might have been put up expecially for us lot from AP - perhaps it's the Islanders having a little joke?
The fact that you saw things that were outside of your imagination (as you say) suggests that you were "somewhere". Gosh, I'm getting myself into an awful verbal muddle here. I'll go and find that post. Hang on.
