This morning I left my computer on after recording a dream and went back to sleep. I had my desktop as the AP Island picture and was planning to use my computer screen as a portal. Well, I must say that it was a success!

I "phased," which I guess is the appropriate word. It was more like I softly snapped off of the confines of my physical body. I floated upwards and towards the glow of my computer screen. I reached my hands out to grab the inside edges of the screen like it was a window, and the frame vibrated and dissipated as my senses were overtaken by the warm moist air. I fell softly, touching my feet down into the water. They gently submerged and I could feel the cold and squishy sand beneath. I looked at the island and pushed out and flew across the water, towards the island a little bit and then veering parallel towards the left a little. Then I flew upwards towards the pyramid and landed about halfway up one of the faces. The Sun was to my left and the sky had gone dark orange.

I looked directly at the Sun, wondering what an astral sun looked like, unafraid that it would blind me. It darkened and retreated slowly over the horizon as I looked at it. As I noticed this, its energy was subdued and made an orb noise of self-constraint... I don't know quite how to describe it. Nonetheless, I wanted it be night. So I held my hand out and cooly pushed the Sun over the horizon as the stars began to show themselves. I felt a warm connection in my heart that was telling me the Sun was going to sleep and I wished it goodnight.

I didn't feel anyone's presence, save a few insects or birds. Perhaps they saw the sun setting and went to sleep? I felt bad that maybe I had scared them off or for imposing my dominion over the sky of the island. Was that improper etiquette? Oh well. Then someone startled me to my right. "What... who are you?" I said as I was retreating a little up the pyramid's edge.

"I am Narleece," he said calmy, looking somewhat amused. Just as I was thinking it, he held up his hand and said, "no I don't visit the Forum." He appeared to be wearing the robes of a monk, and glowed slightly against the sky in a teal-blue, but was no monk that I've ever seen. I felt a strong almost involuntary "blink" of my eyes and we were on the ground near the beach, and he started walking towards a group of people sitting around a campfire, motioning me to follow him. He brought me here. I had the feeling that these were people who also did no visit the forum, for they were way more advanced and probably treated the island as a forum in and of itself. I sat down on a log and was greeted warmly. Someone next to me offered me a beer and I gently refused saying no, I don't drink. Then I thought that was weird, so I said, "alcohol's supposed to impair your projection abilities, isn't it?" They laughed uproriously. Apparently I made a big funny, and I laughed with them. They continued what seemed to be their usual banter, and we shared a few more laughs, and I began to feel how special these people were.

I looked at the fire, and it seemed normal, if not more fluid. Then I looked at the people around me, trying to dedicate their images to memory. However, I feel that I drifted aimlessly into a dream during this process, as I let my imagination wander concerning who these people were. What else I remember after that is nonsensical, and I awoke shortly thereafter.

Telos

Fantastic experience - thanks for sharing.

I wonder why they thought your comment so amusing?

I know what you mean when you say you drifted aimlessly into a dream - I do that too.  I suspect I've disregarded genuine projections for this reason.

I guess for non-physical beings, the Astral Pulse Island is a rather cool place to hang out!

I guess it was because that it wasn't real beer, and that since they projected in order to drink it, that they wouldn't let what they were drinking get in the way of the experience - because it was what they wanted in the experience. And because they were drunk Wink Although that doesn't really describe it, because it certainly wasn't an earthly kind of drunkenness. They were calm yet apparently gleeful. Maybe I should've had a drink after all...

I don't know... are you trying to say I'm not funny, Sarah? Tongue j/k

Perhaps they found it funny because they were not projecting, only you were. They probably already live in the astral world. Just a thought.

You're propbably more right than you think, Potatis. They're products of imagination. They are, as you unintentionally meant, "just a thought." They don't exist unless you think of them.

I wanted to wait for some comments before I said this. After I awoke from this experience, I had the distinct impression that the API I visited isn't the one anybody in this forum visits. And that it seems that the API each person visits is distinct and separate. But that's okay, because the astral is formed by imagination, and API only takes shape when our imaginations become aligned.

What I don't get is this: couldn't I have just made this experience up, like any creative writer or artist who is hit by inspiration or vivid imagination? Would it have made a difference? From what I've read, if I did that than the experience wouldn't have been properly "crystallized." I wouldn't have had the right "energy," or I wasn't at a high enough "vibration," or something similar.

So far, I haven't seen evidence that any of that stuff matters. I know what those words mean. I clearly feel vibrations and high energy/clarity states and can navigate through them. But I haven't seen those states make any difference other than change my own subjective feeling of what happens around me.

I have met plenty of "high energy beings," who are wise and powerful. However, I feel I would be lying to myself if I said that they existed on their own. I feel they exist because I think about them, hence they exist in my private thoughts. I see no evidence of "public thought," other than spoken and written language and artistic works.

Can public thought exist without communicating it through language or art? I never knew of API before reading about it or seeing the photoshop'ed picture.

I omitted details about Narleece's appearance and any objects he may have had. I've been thinking about this experience constantly, so there should be enough "energy" channeling his existence, if I am the only one making him up. Should any of you meet him, or somehow be able to discern his appearence without meeting him, please post in this thread or pm me.

From my understanding, everything in the physical is a kind of illusion. Everything vibrates at the same rate, so everything feels solid to us.

If we are in an "Astral body" or WHATEVER it is, then we have much faster vibrations, so we can pass through the "solid" physical matter. There are apparently MILLIONS of planes or spheres. After death we go to the one(s) which our vibrations are most in tune with, and things will feel solid there.

I guess if our vibrations are different when we project, we go to our own plane. It could be different everytime we project, if our vibrations are weaker or stronger, and yes, thought creates reality, so you could imagine some people and things. I'm not sure if we could all go to the EXACT same place in an obe, but we could each experience our own version of that place. I'm not experienced enough to know if this is true, it's just my idea for now.  Cheesy

Hey Telos, I think that leaving your pc on, with API as the wallpaper, is a fantastic idea ! I might have to try it.

Cool! I hope that more people decide to participate with API, even if it's just posting each other's experiences.

I mean, really, where is everybody?
