Thanks samsara, for the book recommendation! [Smiley] I had heard of Christmas Humphreys a few years back, when I was attending the local zen center. However, I haven't read that book, so I think I may now take a look.

Very best,
Nick

Osho's transcription of Patanjali's Sutras was highly helpful for developing the 'mind-set' for concentration and meditation. I really recommend readers to check it out.

I found this book to be really helpful when I first started meditation and mind development. It does approach the subject from a buddhist viewpoint but I found it to be easy to read and understand without getting too deeply involved to put off those not interested in the buddhist way. Well worth checking out. The author is named Christmas Humphreys.
