Fascinating. Has changed my life. Many subjects discussed. Not religious at all. There are many "with God" books and I would recommend them all to all. The only one I haven't yet read is "Coming Home with God", or death w/ God, but I'm sure it'll be pretty disgusting, I mean awesome to read. It's supposed to be Walsch's last book, but who knows. Really can't wait to read it.

Absolutely agree!!

This completely non-religious book (series of books) has become my new bible, as it has for many others I know. There is an increadible ammount of no-nonsense, spiritual wisdom in these books

What I find totallly mind blowing is reading other books like The White Book of Ramtha, and other books of channeled messages where the teachings of these beings are ALL completely in sync with each other.

The one thing I find the most enjoyable about Conversations With God is that its so unpretentious, and so down to earth.

blessings,
James.

I absolutely agree with the above opinions.  Walsch's books have to be among the least dogmatic/sectarian ones out there.  This is coming from me who can be an absolute biotch if I feel like I'm getting preached to.   evil

I also really enjoyed his dvd which I was lucky enough to find at my local library.  He talks about two topics on it Abundance and Holistic Health.  But probably the part of it that stands out for me is when he says that if we ever get caught in the trap of thinking "I've got the answers and you don't" (or something like that) then we're stuffing ourselves.

Whoa, that's cool they're making a movie.

BUT.

After just finishing Bob Monroe's "Far Journeys"....I kind of think Walsch stole a lot of his ideas from this book...there are quite a few reasons why I say this...not that it's some "bad" thing though.  embarassed
Can anyone else here (who's read them both) agree with me on this one?

I'm not sure where Walsch got his ideas from but he presented some very important concepts in a straightforward manner.  I have all three of the CWG books,  I think the last couple tend to rehash the ideas from the first, book one is definitely the best.

Far Journeys is an awesome book in its own right.  Robert Monroe's style is less flash, more acedemic I guess, but his sources are fascinating and his descriptions show that he recorded every last detail of his research and explorations.

I'm not sure how the two books could be compared really - they both speak about the same things, but the delivery of the concepts is totally different.  This is good if it allows a wider reading audience to appreciate the subject.

And its cool, I didn't know there was a movie being made...  I'll add it to my wishlist Smiley

his last book, coming home with god, was a little better than garbage in my opinion.
i would recommend all to not read it as it is slow, repetetive, sappy, and just plain boring.  shocked
I just didn't get that feeling of, "wow...these really could be god's words" at all if you know what i mean.
the rest are good though...

Conversations with god is my favorite book.  I was shocked that you guys have read it.  I didn't think anybody had read that book, since I live in the bible belt.  I didn't realize they made a movie... it is now on my wish list as well!!   grin

Loved it!  Validated everything that I believed God to truly be like.  As far as Walsh stealing Monroe's ideas, can't say for certain.  I believe that there is one truth and many sources for finding that truth.  The fact that the two author's beliefs are similar simply validates their truth to me.

I watched the video a couple of weeks ago. Pretty amazing story if it's true. But I do know from personal experience that God works in wondrous ways.

I would highly recommend watching the movie!

Ap Friends,

I'm reading this book now, but it's written by Mike Redfield and not Neale Walsch. I wonder if it's the same theme?

This is about evolution, consciousness, different wordly religions etc..
