Again I had a long useless dream with a long continuing storyline which was totally out of my control.
Walking through fields of crops, Me asking directions towards the city. Someone showed me the direction. Some guy came and touched me as if to provoke me into a fight. dancing women near the green crops where a film was being shot, i saw a famous actress dancing too, someone catching a snake. another little dead baby snake on the ground. I meet my cousin. Cousin has a female roommate. He seems to be in love with her. Wants to marry her. But she seems to look very old for him. But he seems not so interested in her. Its all funny and weird. But the whole dream is set near my hometown. I live abroad. I am going there in about 20 days from now. What does this all mean ? I can guess that my subconscious mind is kind of getting used to the idea of getting back home after a long time.

It's really fragmented... I think this is just mind clutter from your day.   I wouldn't give it another thought, if I were you.

Definitely clutter.  Smiley

I used to think that dreams had no meaning what-so-ever... but now I'm seeing that dream imagery can fall into one of two categories.
First there's what Nay just said, the clutter... sometimes your dream imagery can just be about nothing special, just random images being pasted together by your subconscious.
Secondly, since it is your subconscious doing the copy/pasting... some dream images can actually mean something.

NOW... the tough part is discerning what your dreaming about is one or the other.  This is a personal question that really only you can answer.  Smiley

You can sometimes learn more from dreams by the way you feel in them more than by what is going on. Take the feeling, think about what in the dream made you feel like that, maybe compare it with real instances where you felt like that, and sometimes you can make a connection that you were never conscious of.

If dreams are 'the astral', then what could have been happening was you were creating these occurences and the scenarios were abstract symbols of your inner thoughts?

There's no such thing as an useless dream.  Even processing is for something, and you did say you're getting ready to come back.
