Well, not sure if this is it or not, but the feeling of falling during a light sleep is usually the non-physical part of you reentering the physical part of you. It can be a bit jarring at times, and that is usually what wakes people up. During sleep we do visit the astral realms, although most of us don't remember the visits. When the astral body reenters, the sense of falling occurs and sometimes its enough to wake us up. [Wink]

There have been a number of books that touch on this, if you'rew interested. One good book you might like is The Projection of the Astral Body by Sylvan Muldoon & Hereward Carrington.

By the way, welcome to the Astral Pulse forums! [Smiley]

Ever since I was little, I've always had the dream that I'm falling off of something. This only happens whenever I doze off for a minute, or if I'm in a really light sleep. I'm usually always running from someone with some sort of weapon, and I look behind me for a minute, and then the next thing I know I'm falling. It's almost always off of a cliff or mountain, but one time I tripped on the curb of a sidewalk, and my head hit the street. I always die in the dreams. I jump and then wake up. This hasn't happened it about a year I think. Can anyone tell me why any of this happens? Or is this just something that happens for no reason, and has absolutely nothing to do with anything? It's not really a big deal.. just curious if it means anything.
