Growling Sounds

I've had the following experience on a couple of occasions(infrequent). It always occurs just as I am in the process of waking up. . . I will hear growling . . . sounds like it is either from a wolf or similar creature. Has anyone else ever experienced this. Would appreciate any insights with respect to this. Thanks.

Got an answer to my post by listening to Coast to Coast am overnight radio the other night. Open line caller talked about "Waking Dream Phenomena" in which entities from our dream state follow us back into our reality. He mentioned the name of Dr. Michael Persinger(think that was the correct name) as an individual who has researched in this area.

If you talk to astral projectors they will tell you they hear sounds sometimes when exiting and when coming back into their bodies. This could just be your astral coming back together with you physical and you hear a sound. I'm not a big believer in "dream entities" I think dreaming is a personal thing and although it can be manipulated by outside influences i don't think that you can "take back" anything with you. That is just my humble opinion. Also, be weary of those radio stations. I have found there to be very little reliable information out there and you don't want to just trust one source, so don't be so quick to think that you have found the answer to such a question.
