When i create my new Crystal Amplifier designs, I normally listen to some music on my headphones. Last night I searched YouTube to find a good lengthy playlist to listen to for the night. For some reason the theme this night that I had a urge to listen to was 80's hairbands Love Ballads.

So, I searched that heading and came across a good playlist. The songs on it were a welcomed blast from the past. Some were one hit wonder bands/Artists, but that's okay because the songs were great. I was surprised how many of them had the word(s) Dream/Dreams or Dreaming in them.

I listened to that playlist for a few hours, finished my work for the night and went to bed. I closed my eyes, did my nightly affirmation to become consciously aware in my sleep. In the past few months now I have omitted the word Dream from that statement and instead use the word sleep.

The next thing I knew I became consciously aware in my sleep of words and music of one of the songs from that playlist I had listened to earlier while working on my Crystal Amplifiers. The words were "I must be Dreaming" from this song here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6GATH1n6vQ&list=RDtNqATBMH6IM&index=2

Numerous times in the night I became aware in my sleep to that song. It was acting like a "Earworm". It was a great trigger as well.

There was actually a couple of other songs that I had heard earlier that were helping me become aware as well. I swear, I became consciously aware so much during my sleep, that I don't think I even lost consciousness for long. The actual "Dream" scenarios were very short themselves. They seemed like "cut scenes", that somehow were being used as puzzle pieces. Putting those pieces together seemed to put a whole plot together.

This is another one of those songs that I heard a few times.

Have you ever became consciously aware in your sleep due to a musical Earworm. If so, what was the song that triggered you? Share yours below. Many songs throughout the times have acted a earwigs with people. It's that one song or words from a song that you can't get out of your mind. It's so popular that they even gave it it's own term, that being "Earworm". They say the best way to get rid of a earwig is to listen to the song again. Kind of like the best way to rid a hangover in the morning is to have enough beer, lol!  grin

For those that don't know what a "Earworm" is, here is the definition from Wikipedia:
An earworm, sometimes known as a brainworm, sticky music, stuck song syndrome, or Involuntary Musical Imagery (IMI) is a catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a person's mind after it is no longer playing.

I think sounds have a great effect on our minds. I love music and per my experience it definitely affects the frequency of my APs. I think it is the repetition if anything, juts like affirmations, persistent thoughts, etc. These kind of repetitions charge specific parts of our personal energy. Just like if you keep rubbing a stick on a rock over and over again, most likely it will spark a fire. But if you give up after a few strokes, nothing will happen.
When I practice piano to learn a new song, I repeat in my mind notes and the melody of specific passages over and over, even when I am going to bed. That triggers vibrations during sleep. When life gets busy and I stop playing and practicing, APs slow down, that is if I don't do any techniques at all. But when I don't do techniques and only play piano, that triggers vibes anyway.

To me, visualization, singing in your head or imagining motions before bed, the chance of vivid dreams or vibes is greater.

Thanks for bringing that up, Lumaza! Great observation.

Great insights from both Lumaza and Lightbeam!

I would like to add a few ideas. Like Lightbeam wrote, " ...sounds have a great effect on our minds...these kind of repetitions charge specific parts of our personal energy".

I have found this to be 100% true. Cannot emphasize the importance enough. I think that this is an aspect of developing and continuing our artistic talents, whether they are visual-based or sound-based, or otherwise...these are outlets for the expression of our creative energies and this translates directly to our expressions of our consciousness within the Non-Physical Multiverse. Keep up with one and you promote the other.

They are all forms of communication...within consciousness.

My best personal examples of this are two: I mentioned a few years ago of a business trip where I listened one evening to a lounge singer, a young woman who played piano and sang cover songs that were just superlative...so good that early the next morning I came aware of piano playing in my head and I was able to modify it and work with the tune, while deep in sleep. That was a first for me, and another venture into that 'creative energy current' that is available to all of us...a very interesting experience!

The next occurred just last January, in my Lifeline course at TMI. I had been frustrated for the first two days, getting nearly nothing but color tours through what turned out to be healing energy...but I had not realized the fact at that point. Then, one of the next sessions involved the addition of a music track along with the Hemi-Sync...and I thought that would just be distracting.

Instead, the music served to transport me into a much more visual tour of the purple energies and I realized a new and greater perspective. I thought that I had found a breakthrough personal technique with music but a couple sessions later, it was not helpful at all. Nonetheless, I learned that a musical track can, at certain times, prove almost magical, yet not every time...it is somehow maybe personally and situationally dependent...

Sometimes I resist these lessons, I refuse to recognize them. This results in a miss. Other times, I relax and go with the flow...and I am rewarded with a new understanding from a different perspective.

Great points Lu and LB!

Very interesting take there EV! It really got me thinking. We talk often here about our NP personalities. Perhaps Music or any of those Earworms that we become consciously aware of in our experiences is our NP personality and our physical personality coming into "sync" with each other.  If that's the case, I am glad that my NP personality likes Hair Bands from the 80's too, lol!  grin

I know I likely lost a lot of people there, lol!  huh huh huh WTH?

When you start having LDs on a regular basis you will find yourself becoming aware of someone running the scene before you become conscious in it. This someone seems to be your NP personality. It doesn't always have to share the same traits or even the same values as you. You first experience this other you when you become aware in 3rd person view. Soon you will take over, making it a 1st person view. But yes, if you catch it early enough during the "simulation", many times you will be viewing yourself in 3rd person view. This happens in Phase sessions as well.

Looking through my past personal archives on my experiences and challenges, I found this thread here that I created a few years ago.
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/paddle_to_the_sea_1_week_challenge-t47317.0.html

This is a fun technique/challenge/walkthrough that not only strengthens your ability to focus, but it also introduces you to the experience of viewing things first from a 3D point of view, which somewhere along the line turns into a 1st person point of view. You just have to learn how to "allow" things to happen the way they do. In other words, all you are doing is setting a simple intent, then you are in "Observer mode". Try it for a week and see what happens. I find little challenges like this to be quite helpful with learning to prolong NP experiences.

If you can't see the target at first, try to "feel" it. Engage your other senses. Just know it's there and soon some kind of sensation or visual will reveal itself. Yes, it starts as purely a imaginary target. That soon morphs into a full blown scene that is not of your own intended conscious design.

At first you may get quick little glimpses that soon fade away. Stay the course and you will find that your ability to hold your focus will grow exponentially. That will lead to longer and longer experiences. This entire exercise helps you to release your focus on your physical body, which is what Phasing is all about.

I know my last reply about the 3rd person/1st person concept my have some people here still questioning that. I recently found this old thread, created back in 2002 that may help you understand it further.
 http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_chat/dreams_first_person_vs_third_person-t1588.0.html

I have had many experiences where I actually jumped between both "views" constantly throughout the "Dream/simulation, whatever you want to call it. They seemed like "cutscenes" that worked to create a entire active scenario.

In my Phase sessions, I will often see some kind of "pace car" in front of me. It all starts by viewing it from behind, whether that "pace car" is a horse, a rocket, motorcycle, etc.. It can take many forms. By focusing on that, I allow it to draw me deeper. Soon I am in 1st person view, whether that 1st person being the driver/pilot of the pace car or sometimes it feels like I have become the pace car itself.

This all started to occur with me spontaneously, like many lessons and teachings do come in the NP/Otherwhere. But it showed me how useful a "tool" it could actually be if I should decide to explore it further.  It really taught me about the way that "motion": itself was experienced in the NP. A few times, I even the feel in the scene that I wasn't moving anywhere, but the it was the "scene" that was coming towards me. The feeling was similar to that of playing a Race car simulator in the old Arcades we had years go. I'm sure that Race car simulator has become even better with today's technology.

This really aided in my 6 pt focus as well. I could see things in those 6 directions, but I could "feel" them as well. So much so that I would swear my physical body was "yawing" towards said direction. Learning how to move and "navigate" your surroundings in "Otherwhere" is a very important. In time (in the NP), you tend to drop the "physical mindset" and take on more of a "point of consciousness" view/understanding of things. That's when things become really interesting. That means 0 limitations. "The sky isn't the limit anymore"!  smiley cool
