Hey Peeps,
Been a while since been on site but had some relevant experiences so thought I would ask for advice.

I've never had an obe and kind of gave up trying. Recently I tried a few methods of phasing which gave me a lot of typical 'about to exit' sensations so persevered. Still not had obe BUT my lucid dreams are much more frequent now. Does this mean I'm close to having a real, planned experience rather than just accidental LD? Some of my LD's are crystal clear, some hazy and surreal. My main problem is getting anchored. I do actually look at my hands and rub them to check i'm ''there''. But as soon as I try to move or look around I lose it and wake up.

Any advice?

Interact with the environment more than yourself. You need to be grounded where you are more than with yourself. It may be better to ignore your body until you've gained more experience.
Touch things, roll around, the inhabitants will understand what's going on and may help you. They'll see you as a traveller and a rare opportunity to communicate will be missed if you're ignored.
Those crystal clear LD's may be a little more than you think. There's more than an overlap between an LD and a projection.
If you control everything it is still a projection of consciousness. If you are aware of yourself and NOT in the physical, Its a projection. Labels and terms tend to add doubt which manifests causing you to form an incorrect assessment.
Aware and not physical is a projection of your consciousness so counts. Look at the term oobe, out of body experience, see how it is defined and look at the imprinted belief of what a projection must have.
There's no difference when you look at it without bias.
A projection is an experience that's non physical.
Accept this and you'll gain another step forwards.

Thanks Szaxx.  I'll try concentrate on surroundings instead. You mentioned inhabitants, iv'e not had any interaction with others yet in a LD. Would asking mental questions or trying to speak also be beneficial? And sorry one last question, how important is the imagery of the surroundings? My last LD involved a passenger jet flying strange angles, looked like it was going to crash but rectified itself right at the last minute, that's when I realised I was dreaming. My strongest LD I was in a huge park but all the trees had white leaves like I was on an alien planet. The detail was almost more clear than reality but I was floating but couldn't move.

Asking questions is a good idea no matter what you see.
Try to become more aware of who you are, this may change the scene completely and it can also wake you if you think of your body asleep. This kind of thinking is your get out card should you need it. I've used it in my early days so it works. I was under 10 years old at the time. It's something you need to know of but not do, that part will be hard to understand while physical. Once involved with a scene and interaction is taking place, its the last thought on your mind.
