Re-occuring dreams played out in reality?

Has any ever wondered if its possible to play out reactions to things in the real world due to reoccuring dreams?

For years I have had the nightmare of this thing chasing me and I have to get out or get to a safe place.

This is not the same dream over and over. It evolves and I try new ways to escape/face it.

For the last few years I have trouble leaving my house due to a sudden fear and panic making me want to do nothing but get back home.

Over the last two yers I no long panic as much but this seemed to have been changed into pain that is the first symptom.

Do you think that my nightmare fear could have come through into the waking world?

This thought occured to me a few minutes ago and I would ike to know if anyone has heard of or read anything similar.

Well, you might want to look into WHY you're having this particular dream.

But yeah, you can use your non-physical time to work out problems.  This particular one being your chance to work out an issue of why you feel threatened by something.

I beleive it is due to the house these dreams are always set in. I have not lived in that house for over 7 years but I still have them. They weird thing is that my brother has them to, excatly the same.  Even my sceptical parents know that 'something is in that house'.

I have made contact with a local Shaman and (having tried other methods) I hope she can help with my dream/fear.

I just curious if anyone has heard of anything similar.
