Hi im new to the forum im 14. I have some questions and need some clarification on what is going on with this ability i have.
I have been able to do this since at least 10 and what happens is i would have tons of bad dreams constantly and not be able to wake up and so i developed a method to where i could wake myself up in physical life from the dream.
I would lay down in the dream and close my eyes and basically imagine myself in real life in my bed and try to connect with my physical body to open my eyes after i closed them in the dream and i would be able to open them and wake up. It worked. and so i practiced over time more and more even when it wasnt a bad dream and i could eventually just close my eyes for a couple of seconds and open them in real life. i would also be able to later on tell the difference when in the dream that it was a dream and not real life and have conversations with people telling them in my dream that it was just a dream and realize that. but i would have to focus. What does all this mean?

It means that you have become very good at lucid dreaming  smiley.  When you are in a dream and you realize that your dreaming, that is a lucid dream.  This is the first step many people use for astral projection and out of body experiences.  Sounds like you have developed a pretty good handle on it.  Are you able to do this everytime you go to sleep?

It's been a long time since you've done it meaning you don't try to do it anymore?

If you can become lucid on command when you are having a bad dream, you have control over the situation, so if it is a person, monster, whatever it is that you don't like go punch it in the face and whoop some ass, nothing can hurt you if you just keep that in mind.
