(Yesterday evening around 6:30 pm I had listened to a Hemi-Sync title called 'Inner Healer'.  I also listened to some of Tom Kenyon's audio clips right after.  I than went to bed at 10:00 pm.)

I was in a very plain looking environment.  Nothing really stood out.  It almost felt like I was in an underground parking structure without the cars.  There was a woman sitting on the floor in front of me.  From the right side of me just outside of my peripheral vision a man said ‘Isn’t she the most beautiful woman in the world?”.  I focused on her face and I said “Yes, she is the most beautiful woman in the world.  I must be dreaming!”.  As I said this I became Lucid and my awareness became very sharp.  I would have to say that this has been the highest awareness I have experienced so far.  I started asking her many questions.

“What is your name?” I asked.
“Ida”, she replied.
“Is that your real name?”, I asked
“No”, she said.  “It’s the name I use here.”
“Have I met you before?”, I said.
“Yes”, she replied.
“Are you a guide and/or a helper”, I said.
“Yes”, she replied.
“Are you a separate entity or are you an aspect of myself?”, I asked.
“Does it really matter?”, she said.
“No”, I replied.  “I have met my Higher Self or an aspect of myself in a previous experience and I was just curious.  “Can you help me with a healing session?”
“What kind of healing?”, she asked.
“I need help healing my bowels.”, I said.  (I suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome)
“That sounds like a big job.”, she said.  “Things can be ugly and hairy down there.  You may need a transplant.”
I chuckled.

She went to another room and than came back with some sort of medical device.  It had a claw like appearance with finger like projections on it.  At the ends of these finger like projections were beams of light.  She took the claw and put it on my face and forehead.  She started poking and prodding me with the fingers and was shooting light beams into my face like a laser gun.  She started to point out areas of my face including areas around the bridge of my nose and in the centre of my forehead between the brows.  As she was pointing these areas out I could actually see my face as if I was looking in a mirror although there was no mirror present.

I said “I do get headaches there once in awhile.”

She kept poking and prodding me with the light around my face and forehead and finally she was done.  I never thought to ask why she was focusing on my face and forehead but I was thinking maybe my illness is all in my mind.  Heal the mind and heal the illness!

“Thank you very much!”, I said.
“I have another scheduled client coming.”, she said.
“Do you look after the same people every night?, I asked.
“No”, she replied.
I got the perception that she was one of many guides/helpers and they took shifts helping people.
“How many helpers are there?”, I asked.
“There are thousands”, she said.
“Have you helped me before?”, I asked.
“Yes”, she replied.

A second person whom I was not aware of was now sitting at a table and said, “You sure have a lot of questions!”
“Yes, I do”, I said.  I was not able to perceive this person’s gender.

I returned my focus to Ida and said, “Maybe I will try and come back after your other clients”.

At this point I was feeling very good and very alert and was feeling like I have been in this Lucid dream for about 30 minutes now.  I was thinking that this has been the longest I have been Lucid and I became concerned about trying to remember everything that I was experiencing.  I started to focus on everything that had happened to me and was trying to get things straight in my mind.  As I was going over all the events in my mind I was feeling the urge to get things written down.  My sister showed up and I told her that she is sleeping but I have been awake now for at least 30 minutes.  I asked if she had some paper?  She gave me some and I started writing down my experience.  More people started showing up and sitting down next to me.  I was now loosing my awareness and I was quickly slipping back into a normal dream.  I seemed to be using a barrel tipped over on it’s side as a table.  It was covered in sawdust and I was getting it in my nose.  I than awoke in the physical.  It was 12:30 am and I was thinking everything I was just writing down was in a dream and I have to rewrite my experience again.  It took me a good 20 minutes to write things into my journal but it was worth the loss of sleep!

Great work!

Something that stood out for me. I have heard the non-physical consistently emphasize that physical perspective sees separation. So, your guide's initial response to your questions makes complete sense (e.g., they are us).

Thanks for sharing.

Bloodshadow,

Thanks for you comment.  I was laughing so hard I almost ‘pooped’ myself!  I do believe that I was being helped.  Whether that was a direct healing or indirectly by going thru the motions and giving me the ‘Placebo’ effect i can’t really say but regardless if I have the positive feeling in my mind that I was helped which I do, than I will get better.  I can certainly update this post in a few months to see if there are any changes.

I was reluctant to posting this experience at first as it was more on the personal side but I felt that it was a very positive experience so I decided to share it.

You are right about the physical perspective seeing the separation.  As a human being living in physical reality it’s hard not to think that way.  I will certainly try to think more in terms of a ‘Oneness’ or ‘Wholeness’.

I believe this experience was set up for me very well.  I was put into a very plain and non distinct environment that had nothing else in it to draw my attention.  The voice directed me to focus my attention on really the only thing in my dream, ‘The most beautiful woman in the world’.

I probably had a thousand more questions I wanted to ask as it is in my nature to seek out answers.  I guess I will have to wait for the next experience.

Yeah, I know this problem also. I do this frequently enough. The language we use reveals it (e.g., space, time). I am only intending to create an awareness here, when I see a contrast with that.

I can share that there are nearly no differences between us and our inner guidance. They are the closest beings to us. They are simply focused where they are. We are focused where we are. This may help, so I will expand a bit. I now think of my non-physical aspects as a community, and I am part of that community all the time, however I am the human with an individual focus. Nothing wrong with that (I am human) however when I communicate with guidance, I often find that I need a community focus. If that makes sense?

Regarding "the everything else", my suggestion would be to think of this as "inter-connectedness" ... much like the physical nature of plants, animal and humans on our planet Earth here. I mention this distinction because "oneness" can create energetic problems and shadows. Kenyon has a great article about this (e.g., the leap to oneness) on his web site. I read it last night.

Again, great work! Your focus, your questions, your process for remembering, and bringing it back. All of it!

It is under the Mary Magdalen section, if you are interested.

The concept of inner guidance is fairly new to me since I really only seemed to have woken up from physical reality about 13 months ago.  I certainly have a lot to learn and a lot to experience.  I think that is why I have so many questions.  This experience I had is really the first major contact I have had with a guide (that I am 'aware' of).  I can certainly understand what you mean regarding the community focus.

Thanks for the clarification of the inter-connectedness.  I think that was the concept I was trying to convey but the only thing that came to mind was the term 'oneness'.  I did have a look at the article you mentioned.

My non-physical experiences have started off slowly but looking thru my journal I can see that things are progressing as well as increased frequency.

That's a great experience, and enjoyable to read.  smiley

In the past I dabbled with healing when in the MABA (Mind Awake/Body Asleep) phase, but only with small things like headaches. I used to put my astral hands over my physical head and imagine healing coming out of them, usually including a specific colour too. It seemed to work.

I also use a 'dream dream journal' when I'm actually in the dream. Oftentimes, my writing is illegible or the pen doesn't work or the notebook is already covered in squiggles and I can't find space. It's as if the dream doesn't want me to remember it so looks for as many hurdles as possible. However, it's a really useful tool to use - sometimes when I awake I remember what I was writing rather than the actual experience. As long as I've written a few key words down, the whole experience usually comes back to me in no time at all.

One thing that might be worth mentioning is experimenting with non-verbal communication with other dream characters. It's a lot subtler and you should be able to pick up from them than than our clumsy verbal way of doing things. And I've noticed that dream characters are rarely forthcoming with knowledge when extensively questioned!!  tongue

@Selski hold up wait you are able to heal yourself, being that close to your body without being sucked back it, how'd you manage that, I find that way more intriguing at the moment lol?

Most dream characters if not the real people/beings know just as much as you do, because they are aspects of you, what  you know they know, its more you reassuring yourself that anything in dream that is.

Hiya Bloodshadow

When I first started practising OBEs seriously, the separation process was sometimes laboriously slow. I'd have my astral arms out waving around, but knew 100% that if I moved any other part of my body I'd break the delicate balance. During these times, I'd experiment using my astral arms to touch my face, either healing a headache or pushing my astral fingers through my cheeks (just to see if it would work - it did) and so on. More often than not the rest of my body would eventually 'catch up' and I'd be able to fully exit the physical.

With regards to dream characters, are you able to distinguish which of those are you and which are not-you? If so, how? For me, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they are not-me and go from there. It's more fun that way.  grin

Selski 'Sarah',

First of all, Welcome Back!  I am fairly new here but have been thru some of your older posts.

This for me was really one of my first experiences whereby I was having a full on conversation with another being whether she was separate from me or an aspect of me it's hard for me to say but my 'perception' was that she was a separate being.  In the conversation I was having I was certainly using the clumsy verbal communication but I also got perceptions from her which I had mentioned as well such as perceiving that she was one of many guides that seemed to be taking shifts helping people.  I hadn't actually asked that question.  In my next experience  I will certainly try more non verbal communication and see how that goes!  Maybe that will give me more info rather than trying to ask so many questions in the verbal fashion.
Thanks for the tip!  smiley

Wow T-Man, can't believe I missed this. Great experience you had and thank you for it. I love how lucid you were and that you actually asked all those questions. I wonder, here it is a year or so later and how do you feel about this now?

Nameless,

I haven’t gone back to this experience for awhile but I have certainly noticed changes in my LD’s over time.  First of all, health wise I am feeling better and believe that this experience improved my condition.  I wouldn’t say a complete healing but a considerable improvement.

Secondly, I have also noticed that in the early days of when I started having LD’s I would usually start off in a non lucid dream and than realize I was dreaming and I would notice a sharp shift in my awareness.  I would go from a very sleepy fog to sharper awareness as if someone was turning up the awareness dial.  Now when I have LD’s it seems like I start off right from the beginning.  I don’t feel that dial being cranked up anymore.

After I had this LD I had a very strong urge to meet with my guide(s).  The very next LD I had after this one I was given that opportunity.  I will briefly state here what happened.  I was outside of a potash mine and lost.  A couple of guys told me to follow them so I did.  I ended up getting trapped underground with one of them.  The walls started to close in on us and I tried to stop the walls from crushing us.  At first I was unsuccessful but once I realized I was dreaming I stopped the walls from crushing us and they than disappeared.  I was now at a reception being held for me by all of my guides/helpers.  There were tables of them all around me and I said Hi everyone.  They said Hi back.  I had counted 31 of them and was trying to remember names but that didn’t work out so well!  I was only allowed to speak with 3 of them.  I was told that the others didn’t want to talk to me because that would spoil things for me down the road.

Very shortly after these experiences I had with my guides I asked to be shown my next lesson I needed to learn.  It was given to me in a LD and it was short and to the point.  Basically I needed to stop asking questions…Haha!  Since than I have tried to refrain from all the questions I have and just observe as many experienced people on this forum  always say!  Great advice!  I have not yet tried the non-verbal communication but something I need to work on.

As for the dream characters vs dream guides I seem to pick up on that right away.  I always get the immediate perception that this person or that person is a guide.  There is certainly an awareness difference in the characters as well.  I have noticed some characters have that glassy eye look and don’t have much of a response.  Than there are others that interact a little more but seem to disappear fairly quickly when my awareness kicks in.

The main feeling I have now looking back at these earlier experiences is that it really doesn’t matter if I am interacting with aspects of myself or ‘separate entities’ since we are all connected anyways and part of the whole.  It’s all a learning experience and all FUN!

Great insights. Observe observe observe, lol. That does seem to be the main tactic. I remember asking to meet my guides and helpers and I did eventually. I found myself sitting in a chair facing an empty chair and one after the other different beings would come sit and talk with me. Seemed to be dozens of them but I couldn't focus or remember anything they said afterward. I felt honored they would take the time to spend with me like that. Maybe one day I'll remember the conversations.

It really is amazing the growth you notice after a time even though in the moment you might not feel you took much anything away from the experience.

Who knew we had such large teams on our side. smiley

T-Man,

What a great set of experiences! I am also sorry that I initially missed this thread, so thanks to Nameless for pulling it forward.

I must admit a certain jealousy after reading about your (and Nameless') Guide gatherings. I don't get these experiences and have come to find through various others that my Guides remain in my background, as per my/our agreement. I get an infrequent appearance, but mostly only a sense of their close proximity. It took a few years, but now I have no question as to their fact.

A few years ago, I would have doubted all this Guide stuff...now, I have NO doubt! I am so happy that you have reached this level of inter-relationship with your Guides...this is a significant moment and you seem to have made great progress with it.

The difference between generic dream characters and real entities...yeah, you now have an understanding of that.

The fact that you are becoming quickly Lucid within a dream is another great sign of advancement; nicely done! And it sounds like your 'potash mine' experience may be the equivalent of what Kurt Leland describes as your 10 Level Dream Awareness Initiation Test; the test that gains you access into the Astral Proper. Maybe you received the test in multiple parts, but the fact that you took a dream environment and chose a NP means of resolving the issue (mentally stopping the cave walls from crushing you; and recognizing you were in fact dreaming) led you to the Initiation celebration gathering...NICE! grin

Simply, wow.

Nameless,

Your experience of meeting your guides sounded great.  That would have been awesome getting the chance to speak with each of them one on one.  Someday you will get to review all those conversations you had with them as they will always be a part of your experience.  It is hard to imagine that there are so many people guiding us throughout our lives but also awe inspiring!

EV,

Thanks! It’s always nice to hear encouraging and inspirational comments from experienced people on this forum.  Keeping a Dream/Experiences Journal certainly helps so you can look back and see the progress you’ve made but sometimes it may not be as obvious until someone else points it out for you!   smiley

As for the Guides/Helpers…I think I was given the opportunity to meet them early on because I was open to them right from the beginning.  As soon as I started having NP experiences I had lurked around this forum for quite awhile before I actually joined.  I had done a lot of reading here as well as all the books on the subject I could find.  From what I read it encouraged me to be open to having guides and helpers along the way.  I can certainly use all the help that is given to me!  I have read Kurt’s book ‘The Multidimensional Human’ and have recently purchased ‘Otherwhere’ but haven’t read it yet.  I have enjoyed his stuff and just finished reading some conversations on the Astraldynamics forum after googling ‘Kurt Leland’s 10 levels of awareness’ that you mentioned.

It sounds like you wanted things to be more challenging for yourself and chose to keep the guide contact at a minimum.  Signs of a more advanced Soul!  Very cool!  I feel like the young grasshopper!

Thanks again for your guy’s comments.
Cheers!

The Universe/Synchronicity at work…

It’s funny how the Universe works and brings everything into alignment just at the right time.

Nameless, by bringing this discussion to the forefront we ended up talking about our personal guide receptions.  This was something that I hadn’t posted here but ended up briefly discussing.  This brought EV to the discussion and the comments about Kurt Leland’s ’10 Level Dream Awareness Initiation Test’.  I had Kurt’s book ‘Otherwhere’ in my reading queue.  It was now time and I started reading the book yesterday.  Today I read the chapter of Kurt’s own dream where he went thru his own Dream Awareness Initiation Test and it was as if I was reading my own experience that I had.  If all these pieces had not played out as they did I would have read thru this chapter in the book and probably would not have seen the connection to my own experience.  I may have missed that ‘Physical Reality Lucidity’.  Things just sort of clicked and made more sense to me.  So Thanks to Nameless and EV again for playing your roles in my Universal plan and Synchronicity!  grin

T-Man,

I am so gratified that you found a resonance with that Dream Awareness Initiation process that Leland described! I thought that it fit your experience very well, as it did my "Talking to the Hand" experience a few years back. Your recognition again reinforces the idea that this was a very significant experience for you. Well done!

And yes, the Universe/Synchronicity does bring some patterns into noticeable alignment. Nameless and I have discussed this offline over the Summer within ours and others experiences and now yours seems to be included in that progression, as well. The synergy of these events, feeding off and reinforcing one another is unmistakable. Simply amazing!
