Not Haviing much luck with primary energy work

Sensations will come eventually. It helps to have them to give confidence in your efforts, but you can start without sensations. Eventually the sensations are likely to peak and decline. If you can do it now you will have an easier time later.

One of the things I have tried which resulted in more sensations was to create a "psi ball" between my hands and then direct it into a specific chakra. By generating the energy between my hands rather than in the chakra itself there is more of a contrast rather than the gradual buildup in the chakra.

I too found it took a bit of time before I could discernably "feel" the major energy centres.  I find now I can pretty reliably get a deep tingling feeling right through my body where the chakras are if I'm doing energy work. I've even had my heart chakra vibrating like a small two stroke motor.

I find that if I have a blocked or inactive energy centre I focus a lot of awareness on that point, but at the same time continue with energy breathing exercises, and split my awarness a bit so that I'm still actively drawing energy in from around me (drawing from the ground seems to be the source of energy with real kick), drawing it in as I'm inhaling. If I have a blockage I kind of saturate it with energy.

As Tom suggested use your hands to help. Even if you can't create a psi ball, you'll probably still feel a lot of heat in you're palms. This heat can help if placed over an energy centres. You should start to feel a tingle once your energy centre starts to open up.

Keep at it. If you've got sensations from your secondary centres, you're doing great!

I have been following the advice in Roberts book but Im not feeling any sensations with my primary energy centers. I felt plenty of sensations when I began work on my secondary system. I would be gratefull for any helpfull advice you might have to offer.
