I've been able to do this for many years. I really liked one of the other posters descriptions of it, connecting it to something of a female orgasm. I'm male myself, but yes it does feel like an orgasm, the feeling can be very strong and sometimes I'll only be able to do it for 3 seconds before its too much and I get the "jitters". Whenever I perfrom a similar technique as the OP, my groin will have the same feeling.
As I said I've been able to do it for many years, and never started really thinking about it until a few days ago. I always thought it was fairly common for people to do this. For anyone wanting to try it, try laying down on your bed or something comfortable. Start by relaxing your body, by which ever way feels best to you. Now stay still, close your eyes, and try to move your arm without actually moving it. Try to actually will your Soul/Astral body's arm to move. You don't necessarily need to try to move your arm, you can try your forearm, hand or any other part of your body. I just recommend a limb or part that you are extremely comfortable with and aware of. You'll eventually feel that your arm is tingly, light, sort of like you've lost blood. However you may want to describe it, the big picture is that your arm feels totally relaxed. Any astral projectors might recognize this technique as it may be used to leave your body during a session.
The OP posted a different technique, which simply is to relax your legs. This definitely works, but I feel using the technique I posted first is needed to familiarize your body and mind with the feeling. When I perform the OP's technique, which is essentially totally relaxing your body, I try to shut down all my muscles and all feeling in my body.
From my experience, I am able to do this to my whole body in a second on command. You can do it at anytime, or place. However I wouldm't suggest standing up because you'd just fall down. Finally I don't know what it is , but I am sure everyone can do it, its all about finding your own technique that works for you.
Just remember, if you feel a tingling sensation you are most likely on the right track.
