Strong energy sensations/chills while listening to classical/mystical music

I always seem to feel strong "waves" of tingling in my body (kinda like chills i think this is the correct name) when i listen to certain classical music that i found out to be very beautiful. This happens mostly in my back (as a whole, not just the spine) and also in some of my limbs too, but strangely i never noticed any side effects (good or bad ones) about this, even when i tried doing n.e.w again. One of the "problems" if this can be called a problem at all, is that this only happens in the first few times i hear those musics, the most "wear" the music gets, the less stronger are the energy sensations, to the point i feel absolutly no energy sensations anymore even tough i still found the music beautiful, altough at this point the music is already quite all memorized and maybe that's why i don't feel that anymore.

Anyone has idea of why this happens and if there is any kind of benefict with these "energy waves" in terms of energy body development? I mean, i already tried doing n.e.w. and i absolutly never had any such strong energy sensations like these at all.

Why not just let it be? So be it - that's just the way it is.

Perhaps it is a music you tune into especially well because it resonates with something that is deep within you.

Maybe it is a sort of process of tuning in to these vibrations like the heavy whitenous you get from an AM/FM radio when while you adjust the frequency until you find a stable channel, your etheric body shifts it's own vibrations giving you this heavy temporary sensation. Whenever I encounter the sensation you describe (mostly by music) fades I feel a permanent buzz leaving over my etheric body until another dominant frequencytakes over.

Hum... yes but still, it's quite strange that these heavy sensations only happen at the first times i hear those specific parts of the musics, the more i hear them, the less the sensations appear, there is one point in which i hear the musics and i feel nothing at all anymore (at least physically) and it's just another beautiful music to me.

I am pretty sure I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Is it the same as when you get goosebumps from something really emotionally stimulating? I have always felt these chills when I listen to really good music, even more so when I hear a really good singer. I even feel them at good parts in movies or maybe when my team scores the winning point and such. Does it start at the base of your skull and travel down throughout your body? It is a really nice feeling, I agree. The thing is, I can now intentionally reproduce the "waves" "chills" or whatever you want to call them and have found that the more I practice with them the easier and more intense they can get. I'm not sure exactly how to describe how I can make them happen, but it is kind of like I take a breath in and sort of 'flex' the back of head/base of skull. I've always had an inkling it was some sort of healing energy, but I really don't know what the heck it is...

Hum... yeah i think it's the same thing, yes. But in my case it used to start at the middle of my back and RISING upwards and reaching my scalp. But lately i noticed it now happens only in my neck and scalp, quite strange... Anyways that part of producing the wavs or chills is very interestig i still don't know how exactly you cause this to happen i never was able to do such a thing even when i just tryed your method.

yeah i had the exact same thing happen to me, actually it happens all the time =D i love it, i noticed it usually happens on the right side of my body and i also know the right hemisphere of your brain is creativity. So maybe the music stimulates the energy from the right side where creativity mostly starts... =D

I listen to electronic music on my surround sound when I meditate and the vibrations from the strong bass and speakers makes my energy centers vibrate to the sound of the beat. This can get quite intense when listening to very fast trance/house/techno music.

I feel exactly the same and it happens whenever I'm in tune with what seems to be -true love-, the love you see in helping one who needs help, working for a better world, seeing happiness all around, being "part of the whole", someone devoting their time to writing such a beautiful piece of music and all alike.

I think that when we focus on those experiences, we tune ourselves to some sort of hightened frequency, making it easier for us to feel or to absorb energy around us.

I've heard a spiritualism expert in my country report a experience that reinforces this concept of "universal love" being linked to energy that I have exposed. (he gives out a bunch of lessons on all we talk about here, but they're all in Portuguese-Brazil If anyone wants to look for some of his work, his name is "Wagner Borges" ). It goes this way:

During a group meditation practice, while he was setting up his students for their work, he noticed a man laying on the floor by his side. The man was dead, looked terribly pale, consumed and putrid. He had worms and other insects all around him, can you picture such a sight? Imagine this man's suffering, being dead for who knows how long and stuck to his physical all the time.
As he noticed the man, he couldn't help from feeling gross, but he managed to send him some energy form his heart chacra, in an attempt to help him. After some tries with no success, he noticed another being entering the room. This time, it was a beautiful woman with long black hair who simply SHINED LOVE. He felt a extreme surge of love and energy and received a message from her. She said that, when trying to help others, it is important to send out not only energy, but also love, since energy always follows love. Having said that, she took the man in her arms as if she were holding a child and went upwards, fading away. After his experience, he stopped his class and told his students about the amazing situation that had taken place just a few feet away from them.

Do you see what I'm talking about? It's being in tune with this feeling that makes us vibrate that way, the feeling universal love gives us.

I get the same feeling when listening to prog rock.
It feels like electricity, starts at the back of my neck, then propagates through all my body.

I guess it has something to do with our spinal cord and the nerves on our body
