I usually only see a shimmering "heat-wave over pavement" effect, unless I'm doing distance work.  Concentrate on what your other senses are telling you about it--don't be bogged down by "seeing" auras.  You can't really see them anyhow--your brain is creating that image to help you try to understand the real input you're getting.

Also realize that depending on how your 'interpret/receive' energy will really affect visually "seeing" auras.  Many individuals cannot physically "see" energy naturally instead they rely on their other sense...tactile, feeling, colors, etc.  "Seeing auras" isn't the end all and be all of feeling out people's energy fields.  Experiment!!

I see a type of aura around people and objects, but it is white?? Is this not an aura? How can I see colors?
