I had just finished a job a week or two ago and was sitting in the guy's driveway in my car, waiting for him to go get the money to pay me.  It was a beautiful autumn day, not too cold, just a little breezy, with some dark clouds coming over the mountain in the distance, getting ready to bring me a light shower.

I was sitting in my car watching the wind blow the leaves in the trees, thinking how surreal this looked, and I compared this to the dream or astral environment.  I like to question if I'm really awake or just dreaming without being aware of it.  Then I began to think of lucid dreams where I experimenting with changing the environment, for example melting a yard full of snow just by "thinking" about it (but it's not really "thinking" -- we'll get back to this).  As I was thinking about how this ability might be applied to the physical realm, the wind suddenly picked up very strongly and began blowing and twisting the trees around rather violently, but I still thought this was a beautiful play of nature.  And I also thought that this must be related in some way to what I just began to think about, and this was nature's way of responding to my inquiry...

So I believe that the physical realm, moreso than non-physical realms, has some restraints upon it that we have collectively agreed upon when we incarnated here.  Maybe.  Or maybe the question is really, exactly what are these restraints?  There are lots of stories in the East that are taken very seriously, of holy men with unusual and impressive abilities, from being able to survive in cold and snow virtually naked, to living for hundreds of years, to even passing through walls (from which the real US military projects referenced in the "Men Who Stare at Goats" got their ideas) or just disappear.  I think Hinduism calls such abilities siddhis, and there are actually ancient instructional books about them.

So then I had the idea to ask the community here to reflect on what they are doing when they manipulate astral or dream realms.  You don't just "think."  There is more to it than that, which is the trick.  To simply think to do something in a dream, the exact opposite might actually happen and you become frustrated.  Instead you have to develop some kind of relationship to what you are trying to change, unite energetically with it in some way, and then not so much think but feel and understand that it's changing because you have willed it.  This activity is hard to explain in words but it's definitely something that can be learned in the non-physical state.  When I was reflecting on this and trying to get such a feel for my local environment that beautiful Autumn day, is exactly when the wind picked up violently as if in response to me trying to disturb the status quo.  I've had similar experiences before and I think we really do have the ability to effect such things, and the "matrix" we live in is intelligent enough to be aware when we are trying to exercise such abilities.

This community is a good one for entertaining such things.

Lend me some help here if you please, people!  We can make this into a field of study and further research.

Well, I see this reality as a collective consciousness environment being created on a constant and consistent basis by those consciousness whom experience it.
With that said... the rules that govern this reality aren't set in stone.  They're set by the majority of the collective.

I think if you were get a critical mass of consciousnesses to TRULY BELIEVE something, then the change would then become effective.  But this would be more than merely thinking it or believing it...
The reality also has to take into consideration for "consistency".  Meaning that, there might also be a "base rule set" which all other rules come from... meaning that it doesn't matter how many people believed the Earth to be flat, as the associated rules of our reality simply *COULDN'T* support a Flat Earth, as such it wouldn't manifest.

So, the "change" would have to be supported by the base rule set in some meaningful way.  Bringing "non-physical" abilities, such as flying, here would require an altering of some current "rules"... if they are even "rules" to begin with... ostensibly by the critical mass of "consciousnesses" here to believe it as being so.

Make sense?  Your consciousness as your perspective rules your world, only within the rule set provide by the rules generated by the collective consciousness.  Collective consciousness rules reign supreme.

I couldn't agree more with you, scientifically, these events are called "Synchronicity". I have experienced them myself, and since I no longer believe in coincidences, because I believe Everything works and has a plan, which changes constantly due to the Collective Consciousness Thoughts, just as Xanth said. I have come to see significant improvements in life, which just any other normal being would have regarded as "Coincidence".

Xanth's point is Right, I have thought of it myself before, but never came to be absolutely sure about it until I read Mage: the ascension. Which, for some reason, I have no memory of/can't remember, what, who, or where did I get to ever read a mention of those books, for all I can remember, a folder with all of them appeared in my Torrents application.

The point I want to state with this post is, as in Laws, you can have "legal vacuums" (Iím not sure if it is the right term in English), when you have some Law, and that Law is not strictly specifically, it is then subject to "Interpretation", so in the End, is your interpretation what counts, and how you can help yourself with it.

Call me crazy if you Will, some IT guys invented a Lamp with a "Random Event Generator" inside, the Lamp changes colors with Your Thoughts, thatís right. Quantum Physics helps to explain how this works. This Apparatus simply shows how your Thoughts can influence Random events. With this being said, I posses over 4304 Tracks of music in my computer, of course, each of them is different, having different song titles, so when I'm in a certain, focused state, I can just ask a question with my Winamp Player open, and more extremely often than not, the next song that plays from my random track list, is a word, or a phrase, that really, really makes sense, this answers tend to be correct, in the "feel" I get and in the "physical outcome" I get hours, days, or weeks later. . . Either that or I finally Lost it grin

But since I no longer believe in coincidences, and saw this Lamp Random event generator thing, I think Iím genius just for having found a way of using this "thoughts affect "random" events" thing. In my view, my focused desire, with absolute belief in my tracks, is the Key.

Ever since, the one and only, most Paranormal thing that has ever occurred to me in my whole life, occurred a couple of months ago, I was sitting here in my desk, staring defiantly at my computer, that had just turned on, and which has no Auto-Start-Up programs, I was just looking at the screen, and 10-12 minutes pass while I was thinking of something else, call it Day Dreaming, which had me staring defiantly, when suddenly and out of nowhere, my Winamp Player opened and started playing a Song. The song title was "Hello". I crept out immediately, and then just send good "hello" vibes back. Although the song was pretty heavy for a Hello. Here is the title if any is interested in knowing why I crept out.   ([Drumstep] - Going Quantum - Hello (Ephixa Remix) [Monstercat Release].mp3). My Winamp player is always on Shuffle when it starts, and after playing any song, a random track follows, and so it goes, nevertheless, this song ended, and that was it, no other songs played. It was alone in the playlist and everything. Like I said, scary. But we can only overcome our fears and limits when we learn not to fear them, so to me it was a good thing. Hope this brings you some Food for your Thoughts.  tongue

Either that or I finally Lost it grin

I would sooner believe that you found it.  Also it sounds like your Winamp player has began to have some conscious activity of its own swirling around somewhere.  Maybe you've inherited an astral helper. Tongue

So what you guys have said has made me think about this a little more clearly.  Maybe we can start to feel around for some rules as to when and why we are able to directly influence the way reality around us operates, and when we are not so much able to do so.

Well, I see this reality as a collective consciousness environment being created on a constant and consistent basis by those consciousness whom experience it.
With that said... the rules that govern this reality aren't set in stone.  They're set by the majority of the collective.

So what you've said has led me to clarify some ideas for some general rules that maybe we can expound upon or refine, based upon what we're talking about...

1)  Reality, in general, is not self-determined by set rules, but by the collective consciousness involved in it.

2)  Here on the physical Earth plane, there seem to be "rules" in place which even the collective consciousness of humanity can't overcome at this time.  Maybe they were established beyond human consciousness, by a "higher authority" as part of the rules for having a human experience at this time on Earth, and everyone who incarnates here generally agrees to these rules?

Now I have a third idea to add to these based on various experiences I've had as well as things I've read of other cultures:

3)  The more a part of reality is shielded from the consciousness of the masses, the more malleable it is, because the less subject it is to the beliefs of others.

For example,

A)  In the dream state (where supposedly the dreamer is the only conscious entity, though I'm not so sure of this), reality is malleable to the extent of your own ability and imagination.  (1 person experiences unrestricted creation; the "space-time" locale of this creation is not even perceptible to physical observation)

B)  A small group of people in a foreign country may accomplish something that is widely considered impossible in the "civilized world" of technology, and the civilized world will disbelieve it and demand proof, so it is not true for them, and only the people who have accomplished it.  For example, things that happen during ayahuasca ceremonies in the Amazon Jungle.  (Small group of people experience creation;  some limitations but still malleability; the "space-time" locale of creation is relatively small)

C)  All of humanity may theoretically agree that something is possible (ie that the world is flat), but something still causes complications.  (Large group of people "attempt" creation;  there seems as though maybe there's a "hard limit," and the space-time locale is relatively large)

If we can try to define some general rules like this, we may discover more clearly exactly how, when, where and why we can manipulate reality more easily, and how, when where and why we can't.  When we introduce more people into our experience of creation, the more the consciousness of these people differs from our own, the more limitations seem to appear as to what we can actually create.

(My guess as to why the collective consciousness of humanity couldn't make the world flat is because either there was always a subconscious knowledge that the Earth is another round celestial body like the Sun and Moon, or else that in the larger reality locale that the Earth consists in, human intelligences may NOT be the only thing which is conscious here and influencing our more physically spatious, shared reality.  But in smaller space-time locales such as dreams or campfires in the Amazon, we have closer to 100% human influence.)

It's like the quantum physics experiment where the photon appears to be a wave, until someone looks at it with an instrument, and suddenly the wave collapses into a single particle.  Simply observing reality condenses it and reduces its possibilities, presumably because "too many eyes" upon the event places automatic limitations on the individual's ability to create unrestrainedly, since the event has now become more collective and there are more "creators" involved, even if they are unconscious of their own abilities.  To not believe in something is a form of belief too, after all!

So maybe to recap how I'm trying to condense these ideas into general rules,

1)  Reality appears to be created by the consciousness that perceives it.

2)  Introducing more individuals' consciousnesses to reality seems to cause more limitations to appear in relation to the malleability of creation.  Possibly the unconsciousness of certain individuals causes the shared reality to become more "dense" and unflexible.

3)  If a group of relatively consciousness individuals shields itself from unconsciousness perception, they can more flexibly create reality.

Remember the placebo effect?  Someone believes a sugar pill works for them, and so it appears to do so.  But not for those who don't believe in the sugar pill.  And Jesus did not tell the woman that he had healed her by his own miraculous ability, but that her own faith had healed her.  Jesus simply shared in that faith with her and shared her experience of being able to heal.  And yet outside of the immediately personal experiences of such individuals, the doubts and limitations begin immediately.   grin

NLC I love this! You, Xanth and Rakkso all have much to say that I agree with. I also think the Earth is its own consciousness and it will protect itself from misaligned human thoughts. But that it will accommodate us if we can align our thoughts in a reasonable way.

For example I saw another thread (can't remember which one) where someone worried that if you were able to make it rain here would it create drought there. I don't think the Earth itself would allow that. It could easily rain here without harming elsewhere. Well, that's just my thoughts, hope it makes sense.
