Hey guys/girls- I just discovered astral projections a few days ago!

Hi everyone!

I only discovered about "astral projection" a few days ago. I was on a website (abovetopsecret) and I began reading about it. I googled an interview with an 'expert' who said that everyone actually projects while they sleep and its just a matter of saying "I will remember!" before going to bed to become conscious of it and retain the memory. Anyway, that night I did as was instructed and I semi-woke-up feeling these vibrations going along my body. I KNEW that I had experienced this before, and the fact that I had read about this that night made me even more self-aware. These vibrations were most present and powerful near the back of my head, at the top of my spine. I allowed myself to embrace them. I felt I was sure to try to get out of my body. I opened my eyes but at that moment I freaked the !F! out. My ceiling and bedroom looked normal and Im not sure if I had arisen out of my body or not. I willed myself to enter back into my body (if I had left it, just in case lol) and then couldnt get back to sleep cause my heart rate was going so fast and my thoughts were racing. I was just trying to remember the movie I had seen that night- you know, to try to think of something normal! Anyway, eventually I went back to sleep and later on that night/early morning I felt the vibrations again, tried to embrace them, but they were too weak. The next day I spent all day reading about this phenomena and now I am really excited about experiencing all the things I've read about. I'm going to buy Peterson's 'Out of Body Experiences' later today at a new age bookshop.

Can someone tell me that they've had similar experiences? It such a relief to know that I'm not alone here!  =)

P.S. When am I supposed to open my eyes after the vibrations start?

 Welcome to the Astral Pulse. Many people here have experienced the same thing you have, so you are on the right track. You don't open your physical eyes at all during the process. If you get vibrations then open your eyes you will have to begin all over again.

Wow.. I'd never have thought that.. so when you're feeling vibrations your eyes are closed and you cant see anything- how does your room materialise?

I mean- what happens between you starting to feel the vibrations without opening your eyes, and seeing everything (supposedly quite clearly?)?

Above Top Secret Is an interesting website. (I'm not a member but I do 'lurk' there and read posts now and again.) However, OBEs and astral projection are Not the main focus of that site. (That site is SO BIG that there is probably No main theme there  ). So the discussions of OBEs and APs tend to be a minor side issue with only a relatively few posts there. Also there are many true skeptics and close minded debunkers there ready to opine that an OBE was only a dream or a trick of the senses.
That is Not the case here. OBEs and APS Are the main theme here and are given the proper respect, especially because many or most of the members  (myself included) have had OBEs.

 You start seeing everything via your Pineal Gland, otherwise known as your 3rd Eye. After a lot of practice you will see things as vivid as you do in dreams. Right now you are likely at the Shadow Visions which come when you start to Astral Travel in the early attempts. Just remember when you wish clarity ask for it, demand "Clarity Now" and it will come.
