Hello, everyone!

I'm so glad there's a forum out there so we're able to connect from all around the world and share our experiences about a topic that is not that public, at least in my surroundings...

I'm Selene, I'm from Spain, and I'm almost forty.
From as far as I can remember I always had an interest and an instinctive knowledge of the spiritual world. Now and then, I've had premonitory dreams or dreams where I spoke with people about things that I didn't know about and then discovered that the information was true.

The last one was in October, I dreamt that I visited an old friend that I hadn't seen for years, he was living in his house with a roommate because they were divorcing with his wife, so one week one lived in the house with the kids and the other week the other. I didn't expect it to be more than a dream because it was such a solid marriage, but a month ago I had a call from them, they told me they were just in the same situation that what he was describing in my dream,  since one year.
These dreams were like little gifts to me, that proved that we were more than flesh, but it never came to my mind that I could have any control over them...

Another thing that has been important to me is that I've always seen a light when I go to sleep, a warm, soothing and loving light and somehow it's as if I get information from it but nothing passes by my neocortex, kind of difficult to explain, could stay there for ever, but it never goes further, so it was comforting but that's all, until...I lost it.

There came a moment, that little by little I started to doubt my foundations:  I landed in a materialist world, where God has no place, where people don't think much about morals, and were earning a living is tough, where we compare with each other constantly and the more, the better.
So I started to doubt myself, to think that perhaps it would have been better to read books of economy than of psychology. Maybe my spirituality was a way to escape  a certain inadaptation to society like religions were myths that helped people escape the anxiety of an unpredictable world.

Then in September, I found myself in a situation that shook my world, not too dramatic, thanks God, no diseases, no
accidents, no divorces...but it was big enough, that I had to give it a sense in my life, where there some invisible energies that brought me to that situation, as I felt it was or was it just a random bad combination of circumstances?
I had to know, and how do you prove that there is a spirit and an ulterior sense to all our existence? I though about the out of body experiences, if I could have one, then I could prove to myself it wasn't a delusion.

The first book I read was from William Buhlman, then I saw a video from Thomas Campbell, it surprised me so much. I expected the typical New Age stuff, but I found serious men that were talking as much to my right hemisphere as to my left. And that was the starting shot, I couldn't stop reading and gathering information...there was so much valuable writings out there, how had I been wasting my life, if that was what I always had been craving to know, what my soul was asking for...

Now that I have made a foundation, it's time to practice.
Since I started this, I've had some OBE's but never conscious, always after falling  asleep, which is fine to me, because I think that my mind doesn't accept that I could have a conscious OBE and needs its time to process.
Anyway, it's the beginning of a lifetime adventure and I'm glad to be able to share it here.

That's been a hell of an introduction, I hope I didn't do a lot of misspellings and I would love to read any comments about your impressions!

Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse, Selene!  smiley

I like the approach that William Buhlman and Tom Campbell take as well. It's NP (Non Physical) exploration for the serious minded. People of all walks can take their descriptions seriously.

Thanks to all of you! cheesy

Lillymoon, thanks for your kind words, I know that all is in the intention and the correct set of mind and of course, practice, but I still end up reading a lot, I though that I was done, but I just found so many interesting posts!!!

Volgerle, Gracias, buenos días a ti también. I enjoyed a lot your thread about validated OBE's. As I explained, I had some validated dreams and to me, they were so valuable... then I tried to OBE, I was disappointed because my house wasn't exactly my house there were slight differences, and I felt awake while I was having it, but the memory of it was so much like a dream...Everything was far more complicated than I first expected!
Then I verified that last dream and my mind was much more confident about all those experiences I was having, so I really think it's important these information because it settles the further experiences on a solid ground.

Lionheart, They are doing a great job representing the occidental point of view on the matter. It helped me to have an open mind with further readings. As if I had read, for example, the first book of Robert Monroe at first, I think I just would have back up.I know R. Monroe, is almost an icon, but for a starter,  in my case, he was kind of difficult to swallow...
