You should look for the videos if you like the music.

Almost like some of the stuff you see during exit [8D]
Firestarter and Breathe come to mind.

Breathe is good, you should get one of their albums, Fat of the land. My favourite song by them is smack my grump up. I didnt think you knew them in America.

Jilola - I'll try to get them best I can..considering I'm on dialup.

Lysear - I was beginning to get the video for that song, stopped it after it went way to slow.  The first words on the video are "Banned From MTV".  That tells me something Cheesy  And I got both the albums.  The Fat Of The Land and Music For the Jilted Generation.

They sure do.  I've heard Glass Danse World about 500 times now Cheesy

Another good song is "The Conductor".  I haven't really listened to all the songs my friend gave me, but I've heard them all at least once through.  This one is good.

Well I finally got some of the videos (like 6 actually)...

I HIGHLY recommend NOT getting the video for the song Lysear recommended.  The song is excellent, the video is banned from MTV (that's how bad it is).

Where in Firestarter is this part you mention?  And in Breathe?!?!

Firestarter is just the lead in a sewer system...And breathe is the lead and some other guy in the band trying to kill each other.  Please to be explaining :X

They probably don't work the same way for everyone.
For me it's the whole that is interesting, not the lyrics&imagery as such and by themselves.
A feeling/groove/gestalt thing.

I've found TONS more songs.  Feel free to download music from the following.

Darude - This guy has a great song known as "Sandstorm".  He remixes it ALOT, and others remix with his to form a whole new song based around his concept of sandstorm.  Try to find a song that has all his songs together.  It may be called a megamix.

Dj Mystic - These actually have words in them, but the words are cool and junk.  She has a few good songs, like "Open your eyes", "Tears in Heaven", and "Time to say Goodbye"

Zombie Nation - They took the Boston Bruins' Goal Song and turned it into "Kernkraft 400", which has several versions to it.  It's very good, and Darude even uses it.

Some others - Trance Global Nation 2.  This song is about 1hr, 18 minutes long, and your download is gonna be about 73 megs :X  It's pretty good, but huge.

Enjoy!

Well, since nobody else is replying, I thought I'd have a go at it.

After going through every one of my techno songs, I have chosen the ones that seem to just help me relax and sink into the music...like never before.  It's so amazing.

Techno artists like to blend their songs together with other artists, and this is just one of the best ones I found.  It has no words, constant beat changes, and an amazing theme.

Darude & Robert Miles - Children of The Sandstorm

It's based off of sandstorm, but it's about 50x times better.  I can't seem to get enough of it...Some more remixes are...
  • Darude & Warp Brothers - Phat Bass Sandstorm
  • Darude & DJ Alligator - Blow My Sandstorm Whistle (not as good)
  • Darude & ATB - Sandstorm In The Summer (Very good)

Heh! Darude is a local guy, well close enough. Good stuff too.

If you like I could perhaps find his CD around...

Heh, yea I would recommend that.  Before the Storm is supposed to be the best one.  (I don't know what songs are actually on the albums...)

Well... I was looking through all the songs I had, pickin out the bad ones, loving the good ones, and I finally have a complete list!  There's alot in here, but it's ALL GOOD!

BTW - I learned that it isn't "techno".  Techno is just what people like to call it for some reason.  The beat style determines the genre of the songs...  Prodigy and The Faint are in a group called "Electronica".  Darude is in a group called "Trance" (No, I'm serious Smiley  )  It all started with "House" music, then broke off into so many ways.  Techno just sounded the coolest, so everyone called it techno.

Ok so DARUDE!  Other than Sandstorm, he has some good songs in his repetoire.  They ARE:

Calm Before the Storm  |  Burning  |  Ecstasy  |  Megamix (This isn't a "real" song, it's a compilation of all his stuff.  I recommend it.)

DJ MYSTIC (or DJ Mystik).  I didn't post the best stuff!  I finally listened to it all Smiley

Accuphaze  |  Anastacia*  |  Angel of Love  |  Chant*  |  Eternal Flame  |  Rain  |  Unchained Melody*

* = best of the set.

Prodigy, I listed for ya.  Those are all awesome.  THE OTHERS!  Lol.

ATB - Escape 2000  |  Daft Punk - Around the World  |  The Faint - Call Call.

That's about it!  Now you know what I listen to all the time!

*starts downloading* Cool, thanks, I badly needed some new songs.. I listen everything, from Boney M to every random Black Metal band (and yes I'm a girl. Even girls sometimes appreciate metal. [Cheesy]).. Would be surprised if I wouldn't appreciate your songs. Though I'm sure I know Prodigy..

Thanks. ^.^ *hugs Squeek* [Wink]

Couple of weeks ago I was over at a friend's house and he was playing some crappy music (or so I thought at the time).  Then one song comes on and I realize that I'd heard it before.  It was by a band named "Prodigy" (now one of my most favorite bands).  The songs was "Breathe" and it was just amazingly awesome how they link all their sounds together.  I immediately got their entire collection of songs.

If you're looking for some great music that has mainly instrumentals only, or just some funky techno (this is actually in the electronica genre), then Prodigy is the way to go 100%.  Here's a song list in categories for you, since I'm so nice and all.  I'll not put them all on since there's alot.

90% Instrumental Only

  • Break & Enter
  • 3 Kilos
  • Climbatize
  • Full Throttle
  • Speedway
  • Narayan
  • Skylined
  • VooDoo People

Lyrical

  • Breathe
  • Fuel My Fire
  • No Good (Start the Dance)
  • Poison

I like Voodoo People, 3 Kilos, and Poisons the most.  This band always comes up with the coolest names for songs Cheesy

This is just my recommendation, but since Prodigy is so cool anyway, you should definately download them.  They have 3 songs in Matrix movies too.  And one in Charlie's Angels Cheesy
