Just watched the movie "Contact" based on the book by the late great Carl Sagan. It's a great film with a stunning ending. If you watch it DO watch it right through to the very ending, therwise you'll think it's just another science fiction movie. Stunning. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118884/Be careful with the imdb reference to avoid any spoilers about the ending!

Seen it multiple times over the years. It is stunning and is one of my favorites!

Yeah, it's just fantastic I've seen it twice now. It's also a great tribute to Carl Sagan

Loved that movie. Jodie Foster was great in it. At the time I watched it I didn't know the name "Carl Sagan" either, unfortunately, so I didn't know the connection. That's pretty cool.

I'm the only person I know who has watched it to the end. I found it fascinating, mind-blowingly beautiful. I've seen it twice now and am ready for a repeat.

I've seen it once, many years ago, but haven't forgotten about it. Definitely a worthwhile watch. Highly recommendable.

Prometheus and Interstellar were well done as well. Recently I watched "The Arrival". That was a fantastic movie! Once in awhile Hollywood puts out a real "gem". They are few and far between though!

Good film and a long one but still not enough. Plenty of "NO!" moments as I recall. Well played by all the actors.

That galactic Pensacola scene has been so close to me for some reason I cannot explain. I'll try to "phase" there one day.
