NOTE: If you're under the age of 18 or don't have a legal prescription for these painkillers -- please don't try this method.

At least for me, this happens EVERY time I take hydrocodone (I take enough to feel out of it, about 2.9mg per pound of my body weight). Note, this is done while I'm feeling good, e.g. I have no reason to be taking it.

This has happened way too often (10+ times) for it to be a coincidence.

I normally don't take hydrocodone (vicodin), one pill is enough for me to feel "something" and two sends me into la la land pretty quick. If I go to three then I start feeling pretty sick (so I just go to two).

Consumption starts on an empty or near empty stomach, if I eat in the morning I'll have something light. 30-60 minutes later I'll eat normally (heavy meals okay, doesn't seem to matter)

I generally take the pills about 10-12~ hours before I would normally go to sleep. The effects nearly completely wear off 4-6 hours later.

When I go to sleep later that night I have no difficulty popping out of my body, generally my main problem is STAYING IN! (it gets annoying when you want to go to sleep).

This has happened way too much for me, normally I have to really try to OBE (and I normally do it while being 100% sober), this makes it insanely easy -- wonder why.

These experiences would vary greatly on a person-by-person basis. I don't really think this is something you should "recommend" per say..many medications are known to enhance OBE's from what I heard but its not as a genuine experience then, in my opinion.

Steel Hawk
How much control do you have during those OBEs? Meaning how clear and lucid is your consciousness? And do you have full control over movement, including floating and flying??

The reason that I ask is that many people report OBEs after taking various prescription drugs but most of those OBEs are brief and confusing and generally out of control. That is why the overwhelming consensus opinion is that drugs (either legal precription meds or illegal narcotics) are NOT a benefit for inducing an OBE.

I have as much control as I would normal have if I did it naturally.

Here's the thing though, I'm talking about 10-12 hours after I ingest them, the major effects have already worn completely off at 6 hours. If I don't let them start to wear off it wouldn't do anything for me. It's wierd.

And I agree any drug to OBE is bad. But I don't use it to OBE, it's just a side effect. I normally wouldn't post this, but as I've said it's happened every time I take these things 10-12 hours before sleep. And this has been happening over a long period of time.

It's a fairly mellow prescription that a lot of people have access to. It just may be of some use to someone...

I agree, and I'm not recommending anything -- just giving my personal experience. And it was as genuine, I wasn't feeling under the influence of anything; remember this is 10-12 hours after taking them. I felt 100% normal. But there's some type of change that must be going on in my brain chemistry to allow such an easy pop

Steel Hawk:

No worries, no offense taken or anything. Well honestly it could be your bodies way of coping with the effects of the medication wearing off...I know this is how my body deals with medication as well...I have chronic insomnia and used to take Ambien and would have incredibly vivid OBE's. I take minimal medication to sleep now but they mostly occur in the mornings (10-12 hours) after I take anything. The reason I believe they occur so often for me is because I get up so often throughout the night
