Marijuana and the Astral Plane

I have been reading and learning about astral projection for quite some time, and have been making feeble attempts to do so during that time.  I also smoke a lot of pot When I am high up to a certain point, I am fairly certain I can project simply by closing my eyes.  When I close my eyes, I feel intense rising sensations, and the longer I keep my eyes closed, the stronger they get and I feel like I am about to explode.  I usually wimp out around then and open my eyes.  I think this is primarily because I'm unsure whether a normal astral projection will differ from a weed-induced projection, and as I've not had either.......

I personally believe that since getting high relaxes your body, and opens your mind, pot does nothing but assist in astral traveling, and my experiences concur.  What are your opinions?

I smoke pot too , but I haven't had the chance for a while (2 weeks and counting). I first got into astral projection about 2 months ago and bought one of Robert Bruce's books (Master astral projection in 90 days!). I conditioned my self to smoke every time I did any of the exercises , and I will aslo add I was way ahead of the book in my attempts when I smoked. I actually almost projected a week and a half after all my initial attempts but decided against it while my heart chakra was beating rapidly simply because it was dark and I wanted to wait until day...I still regret it. Since then I've been working on it sober and I cant seem to get to the relaxation or energy stages as easily as I was able to attain within 5 minutes take or give 2, when I was smoking.

Pot isn't called a psychedelic for nothing 

I'm no expert with astral but I believe smoking would cause an OBE to be attained much easier than being sober from my prior experiences.

i've never tried marijuana, but i have had an OBE (it was an etheric projection, i think). when my brothers and cousin smoke weed, they seem to become very active and silly. but if you are calm i think its worth a try. my obe happened spontaneously when i was taking a short nap at late afternoon

I have several very intense psychic abilities. During my mid teens I smoked more weed than average, about 20-100 dollars a day. Not sure if it was the amount, the constant smoking or what... It sort of killed my abilities, when I quit, 3 months later I had a surge. Like Opening the Hoover Dam. So personally I cannot say I have had Astral Experiences on Weed, though a weird floating feeling and some asthma because I also was a chronic ciggerate smoker on top of weed......worsened a childhood condition, 6 years of smoking was like 15

so I suggest all keep it recreational my deepest most pro opinion is all drugs, from prozak-booze-vicadin-smack-crack onward. From the mildest to the strongest, kill Spiritual-Psychic abilities. I can recount many people with shared feelings

Drugs are a short cut and will never cause true spiritual progression.  Your will power, meditation, focus, etc. these are the true ways to unlock your true potential.  Doing drugs doesn't make you a "bad person," so don't think I'm judging you, but experience as well as the teachings of many masters has led me to this conclusion. You, of course, will have to discover this truth for yourself, but you have been warned now.

I'm sure if it worked, more people would be promoting it as a magic end-all to OBE's. But there isn't one. Even with books, CD's, teachers, forums, etc., to help guide you, it's still about personal inner work and dedication to make it happen. Pot won't guide you.

I have had spiritual experiences 'high'....... but 'very experienced spiritual guides' have stated the loss, disruption, corruption of thought/true spiritual insight... Of course moderation is likely with anything not a killer... but usually drugs are hard to moderate

Just because native American's smoked for visions, Egyptians drank high powered wine for them...or South American natives dropped high powered Hallucingenics<sp? god knows the ramifications of drugs PLUS spiritual vision/insight... Again I state if you are in any way emotionally troubled, watch out... addiction is the killer, dependancy...people with hurt emotions, or permanent mental damage really easily attach to painkilling mind altering substances.

I tried a 600 dollar state of the art scientific modification tape/machine(at the time) back some time ago. I did retrieve experimental data from it. Spiritual vision... but it was blurry and sickening... The Fast Track at the time. I was given a vision of taking MDMA???specialK/LiquidG or whatever... and I guess the vision was hinting to me, your injecting the spiritual equivelant. Our bodies and minds weren't meant for this..


I have to go with the treehugging naturalist hippies/vegans in this regard.. They have REALLY got something RIGHT

P.S. Certain drugs can bring up the repressed and sick part of man's/woman's heart
