I tried the technique and had a "Lucid Dream Projection". I agreed with Jeff Mash that I didn't like the idea of going forward "to death" on the time line (because of lying down the "to birth" line would go down). So I figured I'd lay on my side and I went down the "to birth" line by seeing dates along the line and consciously moved with them, fell asleep, woke up in a lucid dream thinking about what I was just doing and popped out and above myself in a different place, flew around inside, went outside flying by an old lady walking down the street who didn't notice me, got REAL heavy and began crawling back to my body up the street, then woke up. Upon waking up I was alittle upset to realize it was a lucid dream and not an OBE, so I referred back to RB's book under "lucid dream projection" and sure enough - was reminded that he always has ldp's when laying on his left side. He recommends sitting up for best OBE chance! Has anyone ever had an OBE from lying on side? Or has anyone tried "The Life Line Technique" laying on their back. Is it that the line can't go into the earth and must stretch out in the ethers? I'll try sitting next time.[ ]

Using the OBE Journal program, here are the results of ALL my OBE positions: Analysis: Position
You've had 31 experiences (30%) in an unknown position. On your right side, you've had 18 experiences (17%). On your left side, you've had 11 experiences (10%). On your stomach, you've had 19 experiences (18%). On your back, you've had 22 experiences (21%).As you can see, it is possible to have OBE's on your sides. I just happen to have more on my back. quote: Or has anyone tried "The Life Line Technique" laying on their back. Is it that the line can't go into the earth and must stretch out in the ethers? I know that both glowsoftly and Ryan Kerr have had success with this in a sitting position. Personally, I have never tried to project sitting down, simply because I don't have a chair comfortable enough to do so. I am going to be experimenting with this technique some more. Mainly, since I project from a laying position, I want to see a couple of things: 1) Instead of moving FORWARD to your death time, is it possible to imagine yourself moving forward to your birth time? I would think that this is just a matter of personal perspective, and it can be done. 2) Do you have to use your solar plexus chakra to project, or can you do the same thing with your brow or crown chakras? Those are things I want to look into, so if any of you are able to test them out and report back, I would appreciate it.

That's exactly what happened with me. I'm quite good at keeping conciousness also. This made me think the same thing and to the best of my knowledge I can't think of why else I might have fallen asleep besides the slight bit of tiredness I had. However I'm used to staying awake while tired so this possibility is unlikely.

Okay, sorry for me being away for soo long, computer problems. I am going to look into this program! lol but anyway, I have tried it over and over again laying down and I could not do the 'Life Line' Technique working, but for the past couple of days now since I first (thanks glow over and over agian) consciously projected without being gay 'Lucid' I have always got this technique working while sitting in a nice comfortable Lazy Boy Recliner [ ]. I like how candieapple tried it on her side, I could NEVER even concentrate on my side, and Now that I think of it this technique would be AWESOME to project into lucid. I have alot of experience in lucid dreaming. |Candieapple| Did the Life Line technique work quite well while on the side? I'm going to have to try that. Anyway I Have been projecting left and right! seeing some scarey things ion my house and just laughing!! And for some reason, most people as myself would be scared, and have fear, but I was SOO excited, that I just laughed at them, and yelled 'look at you! hah!' lol no evil looking people come in my house nomore, lol there the laughstock of 2004 in here hah. Okay ill ttyl later

I forgot to mention in my last post that I felt as if I had two arms (one of which was at a 45 degree angle.) It was interesting, I haven't experienced duel limbs since I first started trying to OBE. I'll try it sitting up on a couch and see if position does have much of a factor. While tired even though I was sitting up a little I nearly fell asleep but caught myself. However I had to stop because I was going to watch a movie.

First of all I'd like to note that I haven't OBEd yet and that when I came to reply to this topic it had been viewed 666 times[ ]. Last night I tried it propped up a bit more however I think that the lack of tiredness was more of a factor. I came so close last night with this technique it was pretty cool! I experienced exit sensations I have only experienced once before and I experienced one sensation which I haven't ever experienced (swaying.) Overall the attempt was about 45 minutes (before I got disturbed) even though it felt like only around 15-20 minutes. If you want to read more about this or comment on any of it then check out my post that I will shortly post on the Astral Experiences Board[ ].

If you looked on page 3 you'd see that there is a link to a website with illustations. And the solar plexus isn't just a chakra it's an actual physical spot. The website is http://www.obejournal.com/LifeLineTechnique.htm

Some interesting things...
My attemt didn't work on account of: I experienced things whcih I have not felt yet. The only things I have been able to get, was paralysis and the feeling that my hands were upside down. that's it. But this tech introduced me to buzzing in my left ear, and extreme turbulence (being pulled up). Now, I didn't succed because of two factors, at the time my little brother started shifting in his sleep (noise, I share a room), and I basically had an adrenaline rush. My mind was calm, mentallly, I didn't freak out which is good. But my body...I couln't control it. next time (tonight) I'll just let it go.
very happy with this technique. It was so quick.
On an off topic side note: Does anyone have a serial to bwgen I could use? Pm me or e-mail me: nomus_one@yahoo.com

Hi everyone I learned to AP here using RB's ROPE technique awhile back now. Big RB Fan I've been doing some experiments on something totally unrelated to AP and kind of stumbled upon an automatic AP technique...well it works for me personally. If I create a line in my consciousness going backwards out of myself from my solar plexus.. to my birth...I've found I naturally AP...I literally fall forwards out of myself. The same thing happens if I create a line to my death. For me personally the experience automatically kind of splits the AP body from the physical. Is there any AP'ers here who are willing to try this and see if it works I would greatly appreciate some feedback. Interested to know if it is just me or if it works for others too. Much love to you all - Happy 2004 glowsoftly
