Hey everyone.

I've been on AP before, I've just got a new account. I'm interested in a lot of the topics on this forum and I'd like to continue sharing ideas within this community. This was the first place I heard of Robert Bruce and NEW, and after downloading his eBook and purchasing his book Astral Dynamics, I took an infrequent interest in meditation mostly. I'm continuing study after a recent hiatus and I intend to commence a bachelor of psychology by next year hopefully. I enjoy reading the posts of others on this forum, and I enjoy contributing what I can from time to time. Thanks for reading.

hi Bodoing.

i'll be graduating with my bachelors in psych in the spring.

be warned, an undergrad psych degree is pretty much a vocabulary lesson.  they spend the time bashing your head in with psychology jargon.  about the only real useful thing i've learned is the statistics involved in running a research project, so you can whittle down the data to something useful.  other than that, it's like psych 101 over and over.  plus, you pretty much have to get your phd to do anything in psych.  and depending on how "radical" your perception of the human mind is, it can be hard to find good research opportunities, like research into consciousness.

Yeah, I've heard that it's best to get a PhD. Did you do a BA or BS?

Thanks Xanth.

Yeah, I know it's dumb but I felt like changing my name and my hotmail address. And there's a picture of a parrot too. See.  undecided

I'm finishing my BA.

Which i love.  Psychologists always whine about how scientists call psychology a "soft science", and psychologists argue hardcore that they are just as concrete of a science as biology or chemistry or neurology, but then universities still classify psychology in liberal arts.  LOL!  it just cracks me up inside.  makes me smile.  i always pick on my professors about being soft scientists.  (invariably followed by a joke about me being a "hard scientist" when particularly attractive professors are around, lol)
