Thanks for your extremely help input Tom. Smiley

But fear if any present, must be subconcious beacause all I can feel is excitement and frustration. Again thank you, this will definatly help me keep going with it.

You could use something wich doesn't "utilize" the body, like thinking of floating?

It's probably better to not think in ways that might trigger a physical response. Just a suggestion.

Robert Monroe had found a good way of putting it: "Think of how nice it would be to float". He had inadvertently tried it while feeling the vibrations - he thought of how nice it was going to be taking a glider up, the next day - and he found himself floating against the ceiling of his room.

It's also a positive, no-fear, pleasant kind of thought. Do it when you feel right for projection.

It might make projection easier.

Lumian,
Re the fear on the subconcious level... you may have fear at some level that youre not aware of but I can tell you from my own personal "near/almost projection" experience that when youre actually experiencing the exit sensations, its really quite shocking/amazing/"full on". Its easy to say youre not scared before it happens, but when youre going through it its totally different to experience it. Similar to a lot of experiences you have in life too I guess. You think, meh that wouldnt be that bad if that happened, then if/when it does... Smiley

Tom, thats good to hear that you projected even when holding on to your other hand tightly, because I always tighten up too Smiley Trying to stop doing it but its hard!

Hello Lumian.  It could just be that you lack the confidence to project right now. You may be allowing your hand and arm disorder to jeopardize the process.  If you don't really believe that you can project, you probably won't. Your description of your Astral hands slipping off the rope was interesting. Next time try to focus exclisively on going hand over hand up the rope and don't get involved with the other things going on in your body at that time.  Try to imagine that your physical arms and hands are in reality Astral arms and hands and have confidence in them and they will get you up that rope!! A person  who is normally quite fearless can find their first projection quite scary since they have never exerienced so much noise and rough movement.  Once that hurdle is  passed the next ones are less traumatic.  Then again, you might be one of those lucky ones that just floats right out.  Just try to relax and never doubt that you will project.  If you are fully relaxed and feeling the vibes you might try the "Roll-Out" method.  It works for me. Good luck.

Thanks again for all of your input, and you're right there may well be
fear I'm not totally aware of. But then again who is totally without fear in life? You're right I have been letting my disability hold me back, but thanks to the constructive input provided here, I am ready to give it a go. Thanks.

One time i did this technique where i held on to a stick that was conected to 2 ropes one on each side(those on cirkus).
Then i held on to it and let it pull me out of my body.

I let the feeling stretch out beyond my house, away from the clouds and upupup, letting myself be liften out of the planet and into space while at the same time imagine myself looking down on earth while i was beeing lifted out.
Then after some seconds i would pop out.

Another thing i did was that i imagine myself holding on to a rope like someone was giving me one end and that person would drag me out up, now at this point i would let myself feel as if i was falling down to the ground on the otherside, like the pulling out force was too hard.
So i would feel asif i would trip and fall.
I did this several times, after sometime it would kick in and i would feel myself falling outside my body and i would pop out and dropped outside my bed.

Can I even project? I know with any kind of muscle tension(inability
to relax, ect.) it makes it very difficult. But this I just can't change, I have a disorder that litterally causes my lower arms
and hands to draw making use of my fingers extremely hard.
Because of this my hands will always be pretty darn tight.
I get all the feelings you'd get before OBE(REM, energy filling my
body, and alot of tension) but I can never get all the way out
because during it, I end up losing focusing on climbing the rope
and focus on my now twitching and tightening body. I think
also my brain has an extremely hard time accepting that
I can even climb a rope(b/c of my hands) and I end up feeling
my astral hands slipping off the rope or not gripping it.
I'm extremelly frustrated, can someone shine some light on this so I can mentally carrry on? Thanks

I have that problem with rope, and visualizing things in my head... I can't do it... my hands fall off too, usually.... but trying to visualize a ladder sometimes works, but then it just starts spinning.

I'm confident that you CAN project though, there are so many different methods out there, you don't have to be very relaxed at all... for example you can fall asleep while sitting up in a medtiating cross legged position, which is kind of comfortable, but not really very relaxed.... all you have to do is learn what makes you tired, what makes you start falling asleep, and in a while you'll be able to put yourself down there pretty quick, and at that point it doesn't matter whether you are relaxed, or fidgity, uncomfortable, if you just focus pretty soon you forget about your body.

and from there you just need to keep your mind awake, which, i can't specify how to do, becuase i haven't been able to do it yet.

but if rope doesn't work for you, that's fine, a lot of times when i do it sometimes i end up moving my hands... you don't hae to do any energy work at all to get to a trance

you can just say 54321 over and over again in your head, for example, even if your back hurts or something and you feel itchy, with practice you can focus long enough to forget about that and drift semi out of consciousness

so complete relaxation is NOT neeed, it just helps a lot.

and when I say focus... I mean.... well... it's hard to explain, it's more like not focusing, but in order to not focus, you have to have a certain amount of focus.

basically you just repeat something in your head over and over, and let random thoughts and noises overpower the repetitions, and let them go on, but never stop the repetitions... it's fairly natural.

If you can fall asleep each night, you can hit a trance, really, that's all there is to it.. a trance is putting your body to sleep but keeping your mind awake..... and there are a huge number of ways to do it.

If sleep for you is possible, trance is... so just keep experiment with different things, and try and stay positive, it might come very easily or it might take a while.

for me it's taken a long while.

The only time I ever managed to have an OBE I did it by imagining I was being pulled out of my body with a crane.
