Hey CP,

  my advice is - aim a lil better...  sorry about that one..  seriously, I assume you visualize the rope in front of you right?  
 I have an idea you may want to try out;
Forget about visualizing the rope, imagine it is dark all around you and you therefore canīt see the rope, but you still "know" it is there in front of you.
  Then pretty much all you have to do is to feel (keyword is FEEL here) yourself grabbing it - where ever you put your hands, there is the rope... then you really will have trouble missing it Iīd reckon..  you might want to practice to put your one hand just above the other though if you arenīt already able to do that, so that the pulling of the rope becomes more "realistic" hence more effectively energizing your energy body... worth a shot ey mate??

Hello.

I've found that hanging an actual rope from your ceiling and practicing on that works *wonders*.  Try it with your eyes closed and you want to re-create the feeling of pulling up on the rope, not necessarily the rope itself - that is the KEY to this technique.  That, and 100% relaxation AND focus, easier said than done...at least the first time.  ^_^

If you find that the rope tech does NOT work for you either change your perspective/mind set or possibly find another route...many exist, find what works most effectively for your own learning style!!

I used to have a similar problem with rope technique visualisations.  For some reason I kept on visualising me pulling the rope off my ceiling rather than me pulling myself up with it.
As people have suggested, I focused on the feel of the rope and the feeling of my body moving more than actually visualising the rope.

I am having a major problem with the rope technique, my hands keep missing the rope.  I just can't stop it!!!
