Try projecting after you wake up in the morning, or in the afternoon, or anytime when you wouldn't normally want to fall asleep. This topic is covered in several good books as follows: Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce; Out of Body Experiences by Robert Peterson; and Adventures Beyond the Body by William Buhlman. Hope this helps.[Wink]

Have you tried different postures such as sitting up and leaning against a wall?

Caffeine, ephedrine, and a combination of the two seem to all to go the other extreme.

Light activity or exercise prior to attempts seems to help.

Tom makes a good point about posture. If you're lying in bed you might want to try somewhere else. I use a recliner chair that seems to be best for me. That way I can adjust positions. If you don't have a recliner try a regular chair. The best would be one that gives your head some support.
I've also incorporated some stretching excersises into my routine, so I agree with Tom there as well. That seems to loosen and help relax the physical body.

Hi,

I have managed partial astral projection 3 times, but all of my experiences have been spontaneous and not induced at will.

My current problem is that I keep falling asleep when I relax too deeply. This means I'm not able to consciously achieve astral projection.

Can anyone advise on how to solve this problem?
