Hey everybody. When I get out of body I seem to be okay at first except I start losing awareness after 30 seconds or so. When I shift somewhere I intend to go everything goes black... and I feel a force like I’m flying but I never regain vision. Just is all black... and I usually end up back in my bedroom wide awake. Always happens!!! Does anybody know any tricks? I wanna visit people but honestly I end up asking higher self to bring them to me now... and sometimes that works sometimes it doesn’t. Maybe depends what they are doing at the time?

It’s not an immediately easy question to answer for many reasons-

Sometimes it is just the difficulty of maintaining our NP awareness, not getting caught out by distractions, excitement, confusion...just this in itself is an exercise in strengthening our awareness and how to continue the experience.

Other times it can be a lack of proper intention, not having a definite purpose in mind for your NP experience. Without a proper intent, often an experience is simply ended either by us or for us. This doesn’t sound like your situation but I did want to mention it for the general benefit of everyone.

Often, the inability to move from our current environment is because we have not yet recognized that a challenge has been set before us, a test of sorts. Early on, it can be a very simple kind of test: The recognition that we are in our bedroom or house; that we are in a NP approximation of our bedroom or house. Stating this recognition mentally may begin to open some more possibilities. So, if our experiences are ending suddenly and without explanation or understanding, it may be that we have missed something, a vital clue or lesson within the current environment; and thus the experience is aborted. It can be a difficult and frustrating way to learn. If an experience repeats one or more times, this is a definite sign that we are not responding properly. It can be as simple as literally “asking the environment what is expected of you”. Sometimes a voice may respond. An easy enough thing to do, I just almost never remember to do it, Lol.

Demonstrating a clear intention, whether to visit a friend or to pass from your bedroom and out to the kitchen, the ability to do this will begin to become noticable and necessary. Sometimes it just naturally flows without barely a thought, other times your intention must be declared in a very definite way. So, it can take more than a few tries.

Another aspect is possibly involved, and that can include your energy level, or very possibly the current development of your NP senses. These are not your five PR senses; there are many new NP senses you can discover but that takes time; they are not Physical but that is how you are forced to translate them initially, because you really have no other frame of reference to understand the new information you are perceiving. So it is an uncertain kind of search, frustrating but also challenging and intriguing. Traveling beyond your PR body and cruising the neighborhoods and further beyond may require some NP senses that will require a little more time to come online, so you need to understand that this can often be the reason for the loss of consciousness; it does get better over time. So, some of the best advice can be to stay open as possible and be ready to think beyond the Physical Reality. Again, progress will require more than a few tries. Write all your experiences down in some form of journal and over time you will see patterns and improvement.

Keeping in mind the fact that neither I, nor anyone, can really know just where you are or what you should next focus on, my suggestion is to stay close to home in your OBEs and explore locally. Look for the possible tests you are being challenged with and make the occasional excursion to visit a friend. At this point, possibly the best advice is that when you find yourself in an OBE- simply ask mentally for the best and most beneficial lesson the Universe could grant you (that’s the default Intent, Lol).

Thanks escape! I have had a ton of OBES since 2011... I used to be super active in trying to get out. Not much anymore... but I have had well over 100. The crazy part is I never struggled with any of this. Back when I ate junk food and drank fluoride water I was seeing spirits walk around and my third eye was always buzzing... I was having insanely powerful OBES. After a while my OBE's began to weakn... I even went vegetarian for a while and did an all organic diet... drank well water from a nice well underground... really focused on my health... and that didn't seem to do anything. When I am out of body now they are incredibly weak. Sometimes I can only see and can't hear... Most time I can't hear or so I just find myself walking around bumping into walls and this reality is 100x more real. So after a while I said gosh this isn't even worth it... I will sit there and stare at my hands and shout "GIVE ME SIGHT" "CLARITY NOW!" and nothing even changes... The experience remains weak and quite honestly no fun and it bums me out. It's sluggish and I cant move right. I used to be a pro and walk around just like I do here.

I am so glad that back in the day I was able to experience projections so real and powerful. Otherwise I would be questioning a lot more right now. I know how real they can be. I just find it funny when I ate junk food and drank diet sodas my psychic abilities were off the charts. Everything has seemed to weaken.... I still try and eat somewhat healthy and do the best I can but in no way am I on an organic diet.

My intent to get out of body hasn't really been there lately... I bet that plays into it... I would rather just sleep lately because its not so draining unless I have nightmares. Most of the time my dreams are so real and vivid they feel like astral projections I am just not aware of it.. It can be draining... This life is already crazy.... sometimes I just want to go to bed in a void of blackness and wake up feeling refreshed. When you're constanty having dreams that are so intense it adds up quick!

What is your technique for getting out? It sounds like your body isnt quite enough asleep/relaxed and it is close to the “wake” side of the “sleep wake line.” Do you have vibrations or hypnagogia or.....? Be sure to focus solely on relaxing before you actually exit and once out dont try to do so many things at once like visiting friends or “higher self now” etc. Focus solely on the environment you are in as intensely as possible with one intent at a time by examining one thing or utilizing other senses but only one at a time intently. Good luck!
