The roll over signal is the language of our body. I believe each of us may have our own signal but in most cases, it's to roll over. What this means is when you're trying to sleep normally - you don't just lay there like a log do you? Often you will 'toss and turn' also known as 'roll over'. If you analyse what happens, you'll notice 'you' dont think about rolling over. You get an URGE to roll over, in which you then go with and think "Ye, I think I should roll over and get into a more comfortable position". Once you roll over, your body knows your not asleep and waits to try again.

So resist this 'urge'. However, you may get this urge in many other forms such as shifting your legs etc.

Well.. that's the blunt way to put it, yes lmao.

It hasn't worked for me yet (without being absolutley shattered), to be honest. I can lay there for ages and I still feel like I'm not 'paralyzed'. It definitely relaxes me and I do definitely understand what he means by the 'resist the urge'. when you're REALLY tired, you really will get an MASSIVE urge to roll over. Just this morning I had a 2 hour cardio session - came home absolutley nackered. By mid day I was feeling 'meh'. Layed down and within about 5 minutes I rolled over without even thinking about it. I then went back to being on my back and the urge came back, 100x intensity. I ignored it and within about a minute my body felt completely different. Not 'paralyzed' but definitely asleep Tongue

basically, the whole principal (I believe) is that to QUICKEN the process of entering a MABA state, you need to listen to your body and react accordingly. If you DO roll over, your body knows your mind isn't asleep and it wont go to sleep itself. If you DONT roll over and ignore the signal, you might be able to trick your body into thinking you are asleep and it will go to sleep itself. MABA. Or so its written.

basically.. staying still XD but I need to move about alot to actually sleep.. so I understand where he's coming from.

I've had plenty of exits right after rolling over, especially in the beginning when I was trying for a conscious projection.   It seemed after I rolled over within minutes I would start feeling the vibrations.  Maybe next time you get the urge, go right ahead, just make sure you keep your mind alert.

I tried the OBE timer last night but I think I ended up sleeping through the whole thing. Maybe I was too tired. Ill try turning up the Volume next time too

What I need... is like.. a 6 hour first timer, so that after the 6 hours it will then start. I actually did wake up a couple hours earlier than I normally do - but I still woke up naturally.. rather than being interrupted. I so want to see some light in this whole astral projection business =[...

I'll try again with PR's tomorrow morning.

Nono, you're missing the point of how it works.

First, you're supposed to wake up... then, you can either get up for a short period (15-ish minutes) to wake up your mind a bit, OR immediately turn it on.

Mine didn't wake me up either, I slept right through the spikes.  LoL

I woke up at 0530, walk around the house and read a little newspaper till 0600 before I went back to start the timer. But the problem that caused me failure this time, is me not being able to know whether my OBE timer has ended or not. After a long time of waking and sleeping, I looked at my mp3, only to find out it was still going halfway. ):

Is it okay if I add like a song or something different to mark the end of the timer? This way, I will definitely know when I can remove the mp3 and finally get some proper sleep. Does the song at the back affect me having an OBE if I happen to have one?

That should be fine.
The only thing I can think of is that you might interrupt a Lucid experience and cut it short.  But that's all really.
