If I want to manipulate people on the astral realm in such a way directly to my real life gain (financial, etc), how can I do so?

Its not possible since you cannot interact with people in the Astral if they are just normally sleeping.
And if you can interact with people and they talk back inteligently they are conciouss and that would be like trying to influence someone in real life.

What you can do is send positive energy to situations in your life so that they will turn out good for you.

Why is it a big problem if someone needs money? Everyone wants money...but remember a lot of people plain need it, and many do not make as much as they need. I don't see a reason to jump all over his/her case. What if they just want to influence their boss to give them a raise? Is it so terrible?

If you think they're bad...  smiley
I very gently psyche cashiers into unintentionally giving me all of my money back in change when I can barely afford to eat (nothing significant enough to get them into trouble). For me it makes the difference between starving and not starving. I am aware it isn't right.

How in the world do you do that?  Something you learned while in an OOBE?

Raise energy and throw invisible rays of generosity at people!

You know... it's not very nice to do that, cause when money magically disappears, the clerks are the ones that get fired, or get the money taken out of their pay!

I would never hurt anyone. I'm not evil.  grin
Clerks do not get fired for taking $13.82. Clearly it would be thought as a mistake, who also steals 82 cents exactly? I remember faces, no one has lost their job. The general manager of this particular store is a nice man, doesn't strike me as someone who would think the worst of his staff members.

I would correct someone who handed me a large, suspicious amount.

It's not something I learned. It's something I've always been able to do among other parlor tricks...It's appeal to the subconscious, that's all it is. The women on both my mothers and fathers sides of the family...I'm pretty much convinced the natural witchiness comes from them. tongue I've been pulled over several times, never written a ticket. I've bought alcohol countless times, yet I've never been carded. I don't have to look and act cute or look and act old. It's a seperate conversation, it's whispering. I could abuse it (I actually did, ages 12-13 *cough* had straight A's  smiley ) but now more than half the time it is subconscious even on my end. I am not always fully aware.

I once worked as a cashier, in my first month on the job i gave away over $200 to customers.LMAO One time i messed up big time and gave away 80 bucks to this one lady. after that my boss said i would get fired if i messed up again. i never did mess up after that, lol. In my opinion, most places are pretty casual when it comes to these things, as long as its not happining all the time. grin

Haha.. I can relate somewhat. I can just manipulate people when I talk to them. Like making someone push back a deadline for no real reason (my classmates always wanted me to talk to the teachers cause of that). I also never really get into trouble. I was arrested once for trying to buy weed on the street in the philippines (was going through a dumb phase of life)..... nothing happened. Although I was a foreigner and they could have wanted money from me, which police here normally does, they let me go again after I talked to them a bit in the police station. Its strange because there is a death penalty here on drugs etc. and they just let me go (well it was only a few grams of weed, but still...), not even taking my name, phone number, address, etc.
After that official stuff was over they asked me if I wanted to take a girl home (some hooker, I said no of course).... I was the best of friends with the cops all of a sudden. They even wanted to give me money for a taxi.
Never knew why they acted like they did.... maybe because they got to keep the weed haha.

I know it's possible to manipulate people psychically to get what you want.  And I'm not one to advocate starving!  But the big temptation is when you aren't desperate, but you still use the ability for personal gain and at other's expense.  The truth is, whatever you sow into the Universe comes back to you -- for good or for ill.  I can only tell you from my experience -- watch out.  DH

I already know know about the workings of the universe. I am not tempted to use it for ill. Because I have this ability I know I must also have a good heart to compliment it. Others might not, which may be the reason you warn...but I do have a good heart.

And a little starvation might seem harmless to some, while waiting in between paychecks. But I have a lot more to worry about than a normal, healthy person who goes starving. If I starve it is dangerous...it can be deadly. Everybody has to weigh their own choices. Putting myself in a situation where I go into ketoacidosis/fall into a coma, is not a choice I'm willing to make. Only in the tiniest way is that a selfish choice, to get a little free food.

Not having worked to gain this ability, I can only assume it was bestowed for the exact circumstances that I live with now.

You can bewitch or enchant and have charisma.  wink

I can talk or not talk during these events. Eventually I want to find out for certain if it matters at all what I do with my body. I don't think it does. I don't know, I think you don't have to open your mouth for people to have a sense of your charisma. It can show in your face too...your presence.

I believe I have an inordinate amount of charisma as well. Overall I find many people just want to help me. Children act as if I'm not a stranger, they'll call out to me or start up a conversation with me, ignoring their parents...for no apparent reason. Always bewilders the parents.

If I may be so bold.... with your looks astir, people tend to fall over themselves to please you or get in your good graces.  I openly admit I used my looks when I was in my teens to "manipulate" people.  You may not know you're doing it but it isn't anything more than using ones looks to get what you want, consciously or subconsciously.  It was learned, absolutely, you just don't realize it.  I would also hazard a guess your mother and grandmother had some good looks too, which would be the "witchiness" to them.   Using the words bewitch or enchant are just "cooler", self-serving words to describe manipulation, imo.

As to the children coming up to you, I believe many people have this, nothing extraordinary in my opinion.  Reminds me of a time not long ago when I was having an outing with my own daughter when a little girl of no more than four walked up to me and said with a very large smile, "hi!" and hugged me.  She acted as if we hadn't seen each other for a long time and had just reunited.  My daughter thought it was weird as could be, I figured she was just a soul that remembered me but I not her.  Smiley

A couple years ago on the 4th of July I was at a fireworks display with several friends and was sitting close to a couple who had a little girl who was just starting to walk. As soon as I sat down she kept hobbling over to me and they had to keep getting her. Finally she made it to me with a big smile and put her hands up so I'd pick her up. It was strange because kids are normally scared of me. I assumed I looked like someone who she knew.

 cheesy !!!

But I don't often look the way I do in pictures. Those were taken with make up on, I really don't wear it more than once a month. I am more plain in person, I have no eyelashes, discolored skin, and my teeth are quite large and crooked, a bit grizzly. I really don't try, don't care to. I'll take a normal picture with my mouth open and post it, how I really look on a daily basis.  cheesy I actually have gotten away from sharing the dolled up photos, they're deceiving.
Thanks all the same.

I didn't always doll up so well. I was ugly (not exaggerating) ages 8-16. A bog witch. Quite a long awkward stage if you ask me. I was resigned to looking that way, it didn't bother me, but my looks matured and my features changed dramatically around 17 (even the bump in my nose reduced!). Before 17 people still wanted to help me as often, as much. I clearly didn't need looks.

Hmmm, explain why elderly women would be charmed by my looks, I'd like to hear. huh Because I've never heard of any woman caring or being swayed to help another woman based on beauty alone. I certainly wouldn't be and I'm not the most astute thing in the world when it comes to thwarting manipulation.

...and yeeees  grin my grandmothers and great grandmothers were all beautiful...naturally, unlike me. But they are witchy otherwise, beauty didn't help them to become what they were. I've seen many old photographs, none of them went through the bog witch stage that I did.  tongue I'm sure it was simply a lesson I had to endure to become who I am, I came out of it well. Didn't give a damn about my appearance the entire time, and do not now.

It is very scary how much you and I are alike....  I had a severe deviated septum as a child until I had surgery at the age of seventeen and was teased constantly.. crooked nose was a good one.

Then all of a sudden I was the most popular chick around.  Phhffttt... I told several boys that wanted to date me after the surgery to go get bent because they teased me along with everyone else.  You definitely find out who your true friends are and who wants to use you.

I notice you say, "elderly".... key word.  I certainly know that other women around the same age..the age of feeling competitive would not help another woman based on beauty because jealousy plays a huge part, which in fact means a lack of self-esteem.  Elderly women have no need to feel like they are in competition, thus their willingness to help..see?  Now as for the male populous..hehehe.  They will help at any age for a pretty face. cheesy

I do not wish to offend you and I hope you are not taking offense to my comments.  I know it's a wonderful feeling to think that we are supernatural but why can't we just be humans with great personalities?  I see so many people wanting and wishing they had some kind of power that it takes away from the actual inner power that already exists...  Opening up to ones inner human power will bring about the other stuff that does seem supernatural.

Oh I know, I think so too, though I could have chosen any word, even the word itself. I wasn't trying to evade the word. I tend to agree with your perspective more than most around here. I like your honesty smiley

Manipulation is all-encompassing. We are always either manipulating or being manipulated by everything, living and non living...we manipulate our environments they manipulate us. Subtle or overt, positive or negative. It's not as evil or as filthy a concept as everyone thinks. If each person here would like to avoid ever doing it I suggest turning yourself to stone.

Everyone hears it or reads it -- good example is the beginning of this thread -- and believes it can only ever apply to something malicious. But you can manipulate for betterment. You can put people on the right path and improve their lives through "foul" manipulation. Even suggestion is manipulation based on your relationship with a person, your advice could be regarded very highly.

It is all intention.
Do I sometimes get out of a ticket to save my own skin? of course cheesy and it doesn't hurt anyone. But the grocery store scenario is always completely different, my intention is to not wind up in the intensive care unit, of course. But it's also my intention to save my boyfriend and family a coronary each and $1,200+. Not entirely selfish.

**edit**
I don't like thinking it's a supernatural occurrence, my choice of words is poor...but I can't help but think it is something more subtle than I can define. I've only once rubbed one person the wrong way...hahahahaahah or bad enough so that they thought they should mention something.

I was a bit of a recluse in high school. That's one group who always either seemed afraid or something else, my peers, but I didn't talk much.

Manipulation is just that, manipulation and it is interferring with someones free will, at least in my opinion.  I am sorry but I don't believe your grocery store scenerio and please don't get upset with me, it doesn't mean it didn't happen, it means I don't believe it did and that is my issue.   I believe that maybe once you got away with a free six pack of paper towels or something that wasn't seen under the cart but to flat out pysche a cashier into giving your money back seems....well, unbelievable.  I'd love to see this with my own eyes.

A few months ago I went grocery shopping and had just bought me a new pair of sunglasses.  9.99 at walmart (I know Stookie, I'm evil.Cheesy)  Well, I promptly lost the damn things.  I'm pretty sure when I was leaning over a bin and they fell off my shirt.  Now... 9.99 may not seem like a lot to some but I was totally bummed because at that point I felt like I had totally just tossed ten bucks out the window.   I put my groceries in the trunk walked over to put the cart away and Ohhh.. yeah, someone left a huge gal of cooking oil behind.  Mmmmm...  thanks for giving my ten bucks back. Smiley

I did think for a few seconds, but this is someone elses ten bucks...   then again, how do I know they didn't find my glasses and keep them..?  lol.. I know...some lame excuse but it made it feel justifiable in my mind.  I didn't have to buy oil for a long time after that, so in the end they helped me without knowing it.

Eh, I know my story wasn't about manipulation but thought to share it anyways.  Smiley

Oh that's okay. It is hard to believe. I'm not very concerned with anyone thinking that I'm lying, In fact the only person who believes me is my mom (she believes it happened that many times, not that it was me  tongue ). Not going to try hard to convince. It's only happened four separate times at one store. If each time things went differently I wouldn't think it was true interference, I wouldn't think anything of it. Every time, I have been in a really tight situation that was incredibly stressful, where all I think about is where money will come from throughout the entire day. Each time I looked up into the cashiers eyes and just smiling they handed me all of my money back...plus whatever change I was owed (so more money than I handed them). About the third time I thought it was me, fourth time I felt certain, because I have other talents. Maybe I should be a magician.

But here is another way to look at it...
Maybe it is just that money finds its way into my hands, when I worry about it too much. I've also found a lot of large bills on the ground in the past year. If it's just people being utterly careless with money at the most opportune time for me, I'm fine with that too! As long as I don't starve. But it's gotten to the point that it at least seems something, God, myself, or the universe is taking care of me. I don't think I'll ever fully depend on whatever it is, but I haven't been let down by it yet. Mom thinks it's more likely a God/universe thing.
