Hmm... no..! If you compares matrix world (Original, Reloaded and Revolutions) with astral world there are a big difference. Matrix world is created by computers that real time interact with brain of human beings through a reliable electronic connection. Astral world is changeable at will of OBEer. There time sensation is changeable, except at Real Time Zone (RTZ: the nearest to physical world). Far from RTZ (mental and higher dimensions), by example, 1 minute RTZ can extend to 10 hours or more, that's a time entirely new where thought speed is fully controlable. I think (but I'm not sure about it..!) at www.realityshifters.com you can find out a more near subject to matrix concept, here at "real life" on earth. Read the following with attention... Many of Earth's wisest mystics tell us that reality is a dream. As you can see in the movie THE MATRIX, it is possible for a child to bend a spoon with a thought. I know, because I watched my daughter bend a fork by simply placing it over her wrist. While she rested her right arm on the armrest of a chair, the fork slowly draped itself down to fit the curved form of her arm, like a custom-made bracelet.
Switching to another reality feels a bit like changing television channels with a remote control, where the program is the reality we are in, and our thoughts and feelings are the remote control. We need to feel both intellectually detached enough to choose a different program from the one we're in, and sufficiently emotionally energized to transmit our intention. In that state of relaxed, energized detachment (with aligned heart and mind), we can and do change the world.
Please let me know what you think of this month's stories! I love the way they remind us that just because we set something down doesn't mean we'll necessarily find it there the next time we look, and just because we face certain death in the form of an oncoming train doesn't mean we'll die that day.
I hope you enjoy the book reviews for SHAPESHIFTING, THE FOUR AGREEMENTS, and SOUL STORIES in this issue. These books provide us with tools for breaking free from the mechanistic paradigm into new ways of thinking, where we know... there is no spoon!

Shut up with this dumb ass Matrix crap. Wow, it's a cool movie, lets somehow try and turn it's special effects into reality. Get over it, you're not going to astral project so you can try and fight off a swarm of robots or agents. *SIGH* So ridiculously stupid!!!

Yeah, the Matrix served a good purpose in opening the curiosity of many many people who would have otherwise been locked into the illusions perpetuated by authoritarian models in society. I've run into combative situations while in expanded states and usually they were disguises for lessons I was supposed to learn. No need for combat was the usual lesson. They also taught me humility. There are probably entrepreneurs already scheming to make millions from the movie, "Astral Wars". Why not, there are plenty of entrepreneurs competing to get the audience of people like us (and some cases, our dollars) for taking their courses. I've already heard of a couple of groups claiming "Our way is better than yours". So "astral wars" and "astral surveillance" may not be far fetched, some nations have reportedly been spending millions into this research. The author of this topic is rightfully curious. Keep questioning.

I think there are more similarities than differences, when comparing astral projection to "the matrix." You state above that the astral world is changeable by the APer....and clearly, Neo could change his surroundings also, when he realised that he was "the one". So, both the matrix world & the astral world can be manipulated by the individual. But the astral world is not completely at the mercy of the projector. Many times, you'll find it impossible to traverse distances, penetrate walls etc. There are definite physical laws within the astral, but these appear to be local to the "region" you visit. Of course, we can overcome these obstacles in the astral, but it is often difficult. Similarly in "the matrix", Neo finds it hard to comprehend how he can bend reality at first. I'd go as far as saying that the concept presented in the Matrix CLEARLY explains astral projection - the world of OBE is a reality created in the mind. A reality that we have very little understanding of at this moment. Lets take another example : anyone who has projected into other realms will be familiar with the sensation that you are an "outsider". You have to try and blend in with the people, otherwise the astral inhabitants realise you are different, and can become angry / amazed / emotional. This is also a necessity for Neo & pals who are "astral travellers" in the world of the matrix. One more example : The phone lines. (no, just joking here !). Mark

Ok I see some people here need to mature. DO NOT FLAME OTHERS! DO NOT USE OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE!
About the topic, I heard there is a place in astral where these guys shoot you with these "guns".

About the originality of matrix concept, I remember at my early years at high school, I read a poem from Pedro Calderon de la Barca: "The Life is Dream". I think "What's the Matrix" picture is a sequel of such poem. NEZabaleta

I have never watched the Matrix(not into movies) heard enough about it though, a feeling i have is that all your sensory systems in the brain give you your outward reality take them away vision touch e.c.t and your left with the internal thoughts and dreams... this essence that drives the physical world but cannot be located by any instrument(yet!).
Humans to me are analytical tools of nature that one day will unite the projected physical(finite) whith the astral (infinite) but to get technolgy to this level is maybe showing that we are projected from a source of superior intelligence maybe a computer i'm open minded people who say bla bla i'm not scientific should understand these computers are and have a bit more respect good post!

Yes, of course you can pull of Matrix moves in the Astral. However things like bullet time might be kind of hard. Slowing down your surroundings. Doesn't that require a lot of mental energy? quote: I heard there is a place in astral where these guys shoot you with these "guns".
Last time I heard. It was a bunch of Travelers who created heavy suits and guns and were having fun shooting other Travelers.

Zjrules, you can do all those things if you want to. I've noticed that you have 67 posts on this site. You've been here for a while now. Are you reading other people's topics and posts? There are quite a few very bright and sincere people here who have tried and are trying lots of things. What have you learned so far from other people?

You can pull off all those matrix moves in the "real world" right now! All you need is a PS2 and a game called "Enter the Matrix" hehehe. Seriously I have a feeling youd get bored of "running" and flipping off walls when youre actually projecting. Thered have to be a million more interesting things to do. Also Im sure with enough practice you could run and flip off a real wall P.S. Dont run and flip off a wall and break your neck Cheers

I see a maturity level is being brought into question here. I guess some people are not really “the all of everything”.[}:)]
I grew up in a world where there are no stupid questions.
I was blown away by the Matrix, it is one of my favorite movies of all time. For those with open minds there is a great deal that can be learned from that movie about real life, and spiritualism. On many levels we are prisoners here. Our political society has us imprisoned. Many OLD WORLD religions keep the members of their churches imprisoned with manipulation that keeps them from developing their own spirituality. Our financial system has made prisoners. I could go on and on but I wont.
I would say the Matrix is like the astral world. Even though I am new and just now starting to gain control myself, I have read thousands of other posts before I joined this forum. The people that have mastered AP have reported being able to do all kinds of things.
One guy used AP to manifest in his real life a car. Some neighbors gave him there old one when they bought a new one, because they new he needed on.
One guy created a dojo like the one in the Matrix because he wanted to practice his fighting skills with someone else.
On lady Manifested torches that would come on when you walk into the pyramid on AP Island. She also created two individual people that would always be there. Others have gone there and reported that they really did exist. Read about Astral Pulse Island. Many things were done there.
Yes ZJ you can do pretty much anything you want, as you learn to master AP

Theres no such thing as an easy quick AP, except through practice and determination. Unless of course your lucky enough that the procces comes natural. Now if you want to defy gravity and other awesome stunts and practice it in a quick reliable way, try Lucid dreaming. From what I've encountered, the laws of physics for dreaming are about the same for OBEing. In fact, I've never noticed a differance, though there may be one. that said, what you learn in LD's should work in OBE's and vice versa. Best off all, if OBEing is too hard. Learn to OBE from the dream. Look for a thin paperback book called Lucid dreams in thrirty days. Follow it to a T and you'll be having so many Lucid dreams you'll have to cut back . Its the only book I've found thus far that actually worked for me. Wall walking is cool.
