I remember when I was stuck when I first started to have OBEs. once I started trying the 'roll out' method, it was super easy from then on. rolling out was THE easiest method to leave my body. but now... IT STOPPED WORKING! it is probably the HARDEST method now. The rope technique, which was the hardest, is now the easiest, but it doesn't work most times, so it still is hard.

here is what happens. Vibrations come > I am in my body looking at the ceiling > right away I could see through my physical eyes and with my astral ones into the astral world. Things look different. I could even lift my astral arms up slowly and move them around; sometimes fast just like I would in the physical world. But I am stuck within my physical body. it's almost as if I am in a sleep paralysis mode, but 1) I could move my arms, and 2) I could wake up anytime. Rolling out doesn't work. It's almost as if I am glued to my body. I even tried levitating last time. Nothing. I just feel the bed beneath my back. Maybe it's because I have fear. I don't know. the only thing I could do is visualize levitating, visualize the rope technique, visualize, but it doesn't work. I feel like I need to literally do something with my astral body in order to project, but I am stuck.

I also have a theory that my spirit guides want me to master leaving my body, which I haven't yet. I think many times they yanked me out, so it wasn't me doing it. And many times when I leave my body by rolling out, I am only conscious of my OBEs around 30%, not like being in a physical body. Maybe once I really learn how to leave my body thoroughly, my consciousness in OBEs will go up, or even be 100%? anybody ever had that experience? because dreamy OBEs suck, and at some point I lose awareness and start dreaming.

Drop the body, continue as the point of conciousness. It's still you in an energetic state. With no body you can't get stuck at all.
For increased lucidity you can grab an extra hours sleep and try deepening your experience.

I don't understand. what you mean 'drop the body'? you mean just lay there stuck?

What Szaxx is saying is...forget/let go your physical form...go with the energy that is presented to you. Quit fighting and go with whatever flow is presented to you.

This will take a few seconds of uncomfortable accommodation, but you should quickly adjust; just allow it to happen.

Yes, your guides are watching/helping.

I'm still confused as to what exactly I am supposed to do.

that's like saying, "stop letting what's holding you back in life control you." anyone could say that, but to actually do it takes many lifetimes to learn. lol.. I got more... "live your life the way you want to", "stop caring what people think of you".

but I am having a hard time having OBEs in which I am not bound to even my physical astral body. going through walls is hard for me. I'd much rather touch the door knob and open the door like it's there. much easier and no struggle. tried walking through walls before with not much success.

What exactly is stopping you from doing just that?

Sometimes we can't live our lives the way we want to, this is true.  There are certain limitations involved.  HOWEVER, you can most definitely just stop caring of what others think of you... and it certain doesn't take many life times to learn.  It all starts with you realizing that you are not your thoughts nor do you own the thoughts that run through your mind.  Once you realize that, you can begin to stop believing those thoughts.

Change that which you can, and don't worry about what you can't change.

Then don't walk through walls.  Nobody says that during a projection you have to do those things.  If you want to use a door to go from one room to another, do so.
With that said, you're only bound to a physical-like body while projecting because you think you need to.  This isn't an intellectual decision.  You understand intellectually that you're not physical, but you don't understand it beyond that.  THAT might take a while for you to work out, but the other thing above, you can most definitely "just begin" to let go of things you don't want in your life.

The aim is to get an experience in another reality.
It has been done many times before as you know.
Fear and doubt will manifest in some way if you let them.
You have lots of info and in reality, trying it all would take many lifetimes.
So now you are having a bit of trouble in achieving the goal it's time to look at the big picture and see what's stopping you from success.
If your body keeps getting stuck there's a possibility you are having doubts at leaving it. The doubt is enough to keep you stuck.
A simple cure is forget you have a body. The one you're in daily isn't travelling with you in the wanted experience so totally ignore it. Leave it to sleep and project your concious self to another reality without a second thought of it. Don't think of it at all and don't think you need a body to get out there. You don't during the exit process.
Concentrate more on having an experience, the end result that's wanted should be the main thought you have.
Exit techniques that require a body to relate to can be done if you think that its made of smoke or light. This will create a thought of it being impossible to get stuck. This thought will manifest and free you instantly. All you need to do is KNOW nothing can get stuck.
Any thoughts of the physical body will tie you to it so as said before, leave it behind to sleep and only take your conciousness on the trip.
You'll most likely have another body when you reach your destination. It will be in phase with the environment you're in. It definately won't be your physical body.
With a little thought it can be almost anything too. A fly to an alien on fire if you think hard enough is possible.
Try to understand the thoughts you have are what drives the experience. Take control and ho on a ride.

tried the 'dont think of body' last night. didn't work. i got out slowly on 2nd attempt, but it was one of those rare moments and i lost consciousness down to about 30% and everything went black. at least I wasn't freaking out. my goal from now on is to remain calm at all times. much easier said than done, of course.

When I first started projecting (and had a bad fear problem) I learned to use a slight loss of consciousness to get myself out without fear. When SP would set in, I'd be fully conscious, and knowing soon there would be loud noises and unpleasant sensations, I'd begin to let sleepiness set in.  This comforted me, took the fear away, and I didn't experience any unpleasantness. At the end of the process when I lost all sensation of my physical body, I'd either roll out or do nothing and just find myself in a new reality.  My consciousness was low -as you said- but as soon as I saw my new surroundings an excitement would hit me and I'd instantly jump to full lucidity.

You can program your subconscious to do it this way if you have the intent beforehand.  Just imagine the excitement of your new reality and tell yourself that you will have instant full lucidity once you cross over.  It works if you believe it will.  You'll need to experiment with just how much consciousness you can lose.  Lose too much and you fall asleep for good, as I'm sure you know.  I was able to get sleepy and actually fall asleep for a few seconds right before, and as I was crossing over.  My subconscious programming would still work and instantly bring me to full lucidity once I was in my new reality.

Note - what I call subconscious programming could also be help from a guide.  When ever I run into a bump in the road with AP I always ask for help and have never failed to get it -one way or the other.

Thanks. I asked my guides for help, but nothing happened. I ask a lot, but it rarely works. I think they want me to master this on my own instead of them pulling me out of my body like before. Otherwise, I'll always depend on them doing all the work.

Good thinking. They are called guides as that's what they do. Anything more they'd be called personal instructors.
You do the learning for yourself and get guided if its required.
The help is subtle most times.
Keep going and never doubt yourself, things take time.
The best things come to those that wait.

True, you don't want to depend on them doing all the work.  The kind of help I get from them is very subtle.  So subtle, I don't even know most times if it's them or my own intent.

I've never been pulled out before, but one thing that I notice they will do is, when they want to teach me a new technique they will make it very clear and easy to understand.  Then after that initial 'free' one, I need to work  hard to make it a permanent part of my repertoire.  That's how I learned to visualize.  One 'freebie' and then I had to work at it.  Now visualization is what I use most.

Sometimes their help will come during the day in the form of a thought or inspiration I never had before.  Then I bring that thought with me into my next AP session and I get results.  So subtle!  But thought is really everything in AP.  Sometimes we get to thinking about the process very mechanically and forget (or don't understand) that it is all about thought.   ...Just one of those epiphanies I had a while ago.  Good luck!  Smiley

Thanks Szaxx on that 2 nights ago I was fully aware of my astral body being loose so I tried to exit. I could only partially come out of my physical body but my legs were like lead, it's the first time I've experiences this. I could move my arms and my upper body to such a point I was really stretching trying to grab hold of my Chester draw at the side of my bed, but to no avail.

I commanded"more energy"but it didn't work. Things faded and then I fully woke up.

I guess thinking of my body can be enough to hold me there, so in the future I'll just visualise myself elsewhere so I don't stay stuck.
