Robert Bruce claimed to have some experiences visiting places in the solar system.

I guess the thing I would think though, is that there is absolutely no way to know that you are experiencing replicas of the physical celestial bodies themselves. They are so far away, and there is very little way to verify what you experienced. You could see pretty much anything out there, and I would imagine most of it would be guided by what you expected to see, really.

The other thing I read Bruce and Monroe write is that the celestial bodies are really rather boring by comparison with other things going on in a projection environment, just being giant dead spaces. They might be interesting to visit once, or perhaps you would see something special or personal there if you were to visit, who knows.

Worth a shot!

My experiences with outer space involve attempting to leave Earth's atmosphere from my yard. I made it the first time I tried but it became difficult to see the higher I got. I only vaguely saw a hazy image of Earth. Another time I appeared to be moving through space with these snow-flake like patterns evolving within my vision.

I've actually been trying to phase into a visual of Jupiter a bit lately but no extraterrestrial action yet.

Robert Monroe's Explorer team apparently spent quite a bit of time going through space.
Their findings was that it was very empty and boring.

Funny how space projections are considered boring yet UFO projections seem to be some of the most fascinating out there. Makes one wonder if the source of all UFO activity is from the non-physical and outer space is simply window dressing.

Greetings everyone
I have had one, and only one, projection into space. I here post that OBE in full.

Space Travel
Sunday, April 15, 2001 (OBE # 45)
This was one of two astral projections. It began sometime just after sunrise. I exteriorized unconsciously and was first aware of being out of body in another (unfamiliar) bedroom. I float up to a ceiling and look down at an empty bed. I feel very good but do not know where I am.
I want to go outside so float over to a window. Slowly and with difficulty I merge into and then go through a glass pane. In two or three minutes I am outside. I float up over a street between tall buildings in a strange city.
Remembering my incredible dream from earlier this night I suddenly decide to travel to another (very) far-off star. I slowly fly up high into a night sky. There are not many stars visible from this location. I head off, at increasingly greater speed, to what looks to be one (of two) nearby bright stars. I have no idea how far away this star might be. After a short time of (faster than light !?!) transition through space I notice that the positions of many visible stars are slowly, yet perceptibly, shifting. Actual distinction of time here is a mostly pointless exercise.
So, a short time later, it quite appears that I am really moving closer to those stars. In fact it very much looks as if my epic space journey is about two-thirds or three-quarters complete. Then I see a very bright light off to my right. What has happened is that I have suddenly returned into my physical body lying in bed in my apartment. It is daylight outside and I am quickly wide awake. Just minutes later I fall asleep.
Notes. Time was about 6:30 to 6:45 AM when I started and 7:30 to 7:45 AM when I returned. Not certain which side I lay on, probably my right. Actual distance travelled through space is no more than a guess - which I estimate to be between one-half (1/2) lightyear to as many as ten (10) lightyears (and maybe more).

I've actually come to the same conclusion.  Smiley

The majority of my later projections involved lots of ETs, which is why I stopped practicing all together. I was sick of seeing little gray people all the time.

That must have been so amazing... I want so badly to do this in my future OBEs. I've been out of practice for several years now. Going to that phase again where one keeps trying every night hoping to OBE. I feel it's getting closer each time. Just not happened yet...

Thanks everyone for sharing =)

Probably easier said than done, but you could have always shifted your Intent away from ET's and had other experiences.  Just a suggestion.

kurt, i have been AWOL for a while, but IIRC, you are advanced in OOBEs. are you saying you no longer explore the larger reality at all? if not, it makes me unhappy... and i don't know why...?

nym-ph, i want to say the last OBE i had took place in deep space, but there were stars 360 degrees around me so it was like being somewhere in a dense galaxy. my vision wasn't 360, only a 'perfect' 180 -like seeing exactly 1/2 of a snowglobe if you were precisely at the center. the scenery was spinning from right to left, leaving slight tracers trailing each star, having the effect of being exactly in the center of a snowglobe but the snow (stars) is spinning outside the glass.

my first thought was 'i want to see how galaxies are formed!'

pow! two rope-like plasma streams shot out from my point of vision, coiling around each other and piling up into a glob out in space. it resembled how silly-string globs up when sprayed on a wall. the globs (i did this three times) melted into themselves and began to become gaseous, but i couldn't see the finished product because they would spin out of view to my left -or maybe i was the one spinning...?

maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but it appeared to happen in 'space'.

I no longer practice astral projection but I still research it.

I'm in the same situation.  I don't actively practice projection anymore either, but I still study it.  More accurately (and i'm sure this is the same for Kurt) I research consciousness and ap seems to be a good way to study consciousness by having a different state to compare to normal waking reality.

I have always enjoyed studying consciousness on a philosophical level, with people like Denette and Searle vs Chalmers and Tart, who like to take things from the persepective of data and subjective thought exeriments, and reason through these to what fundamental characteristics consciousness must posess, and their subsequent metaphysical models.

What does study of consciousness mean in your context, with reference to projection states you mention?

i don't understand...? it just seems like walking away from the experiences would be very hard to do. are you and kurt scientists who view AP/etc. as purely as an intellectual exercise? i would be very interested in hearing both of you elaborate as much as you feel comfortable on this.

Hi, I had a very interesting phasing in March 2010, in space. Here it is:

It was in the morning and although I was very awake I didn't get up but tried to fall asleep again. After about 1 minute I started to see the flashing strobelight that I have mentioned before. This time it became very bright and the next thing I saw was a phasing screen, it was space, with stars. I have a lot of phasing screens but most of the times they are very short and before I can think:"I want to go there" they are already gone. But this time it stayed longer. I got very exited and started to stretch my awareness towards it just like I did the previous times. I felt like there was a resistance, like I was pulled back to my head so I really had to strain myself to keep my consciousness there in the screen.

Then suddenly I shot into space like a catapult. I had such great speed that I didn't see the stars as you normally do, but as stripes. Just like the Enterprise going into warpspeed. (Yes I did watch a lot of StarTrek). I decided to go slower to have a better look at the stars and slowed down, but not too long because soon after I was again speeding like crazy through space. I liked it a lot and enjoyed this special feeling (I didn't have a body). Then in the distance I saw something large and blue precisely in the direction I was going. It came closer very quickly and seemed to be some huge blue entity. Just in time I moved to the left and saw that thing dissappear into the distance on my right hand side.

But then the next moment there were a lot of these creatures everywhere. I guess I was in their territory , and I had to zigzag to avoid them. Because of the enormous speed I couldn't anymore and flew right into one. I didn't feel an impact, I could have blacked out, I don't know. Because the next moment I remember was that I was somewhere bobbing and rocking from the left to the right on and on, very slowly like I was carried by waves of a calm sea. It felt wonderful and relaxing. It made me think I was on a huge waterbed. Then it was like I felt blankets on top of me and they were quite heavy. I thought I was back in my body and probably could roll out. But I had to really make an effort to pull these blankets to the side and that brought me back to my body.  smiley

It's exactly what I'm looking for. =) I've only had 2 conscious OBE so far.. 1 a few years ago and another one recently. With practice, hopefully, I'll get there and see for myself how galaxies are formed. That must have been amazing.

Thank's for sharing Timandra. Traveling freely in space must be fascinating.

I might be seeing too much Stargate tough ahah
