Really weird feeling

Last weekend I woke up fairly early and was ready to start trying to AP. I got into the process pretty deeply and quickly then got a feeling that I should stop and not try at that time. Not sure if I was telling myself to stop or something else was. I stopped after another minute of trying and have not had an urge to try again since.

Anyone else have this type of feeling? It wasn't a fearful urge just an overwhelming feeling that right at that moment was not the best time to try. Now I find I'm second guessing myself and wondering if I should continue at all.

I don't have an answer but I'm a big fan of following my intuition.

 I am a firm believer that this (Astral Travel), is something that occurs in people when they are truly mentally ready to accept it for all it is. Try reading some books on Astral Projection/Lucid Dreaming, things like that. Those help you mentally prepare for what you are about to experience. They can also show you the devotion and level of commitment that is necessary in order to succeed.

Following your intuition is THE way to go. Best advice ever. In the physical things can go wrong, mostly no big deal. In the astral its a totally different game. You are not ready for what gives, trust this info. There are some nice places that make the physical seem insignificant. However there are others that exceed your worst nightmare.

I do follow my intuition which is why I stopped. I also get the feeling I can start trying again, just at that time it wasn't a good idea. This whole situation brings up several other questions.

How can a person distinguish what is intuition and what is an outside source (guide/well intention spirit)? Over the last 5-10 years my Intuition has gotten very strong, almost to the point that my decisions have been suggestions on the path I choose.

Are their any links anyone might have for some easy steps for cleansing, protect/fortifying a home?  I may be going about it the wrong way and attracting instead of repelling.

Hindsight.  And it sounds like your intuition hasn't failed you yet, so when it feels right, you should.
Conversely, if you're supposed to and don't, the weird stuff will start happening to you, until you get the clue and start learning it just to figure out what to do.  Which is how I started, BTW.
