Hi everyone, I haven't been here in ages. Lately I've gotten back into the desire to try to have an OBE again. I've never been able to do it. I've noticed that if I take an afternoon nap, I usually end up getting sleep paralysis and can't move my body, but am aware.

I've read this is the perfect time to initiate an OBE.

Can someone explain to me what I need to do in that moment when I realize I'm in that state?

What does the "roll" technique involve? I know many have mentioned doing it while in sleep paralysis. Thanks Smiley

Usually in my case when I have sleep paralysis I just let go and lay there until the ringing in my ears intensify and then I just think of sitting up or floating up and it usually happens.

Lay in your bed (awake and aware).  Tuck in your arms and roll side to side.  That's practice.
  Now, when you are in paralysis, (or any other deep-trance state that is giving you some sort of exit symptom) do it with your energy body (in your mind, as if you were doing it physically).  If you're at the right state, your energy body could just roll of the bed and either float up or float down.  Then get up and fly up.

Awesome, that helps me. Smiley I remember the last time I was "stuck" in that state, I tried my best to just roll over and stand up. But I couldn't get "out" of my body. Then I started to panic because I couldn't snap out of it. Then I finally did.
