I woke up in the middle of my sleep and noticed that I was awake. So I thought great time to try and have and obe. I stayed still to try and get into sleep paralysis. I felt numb all over. I stayed perfectly still other then the time where I had to take deep breaths once in a while and also when I had to swallow my spit. When I did that it made irregular movements which I guess kept telling my body I was still awake. I wasn't able to fully get into paralysis. I kept getting close but never got deep.
Then i felt a pain in my foot. Like a skin irritation on the heel part. It stayed there. I thought it was a way for my body to make me move so it can see if I'm still awake. I stayed still through the pain. It got worse. Went to both my feet. But I stayed still. By now it's been like about one hour. I tried to keep my mind away from my physical body. But my imagination wasnt that clear. So I couldn't do a great job on staying away. So anyways... I sticked through the pain and Felt a heavy feeling on my foot and legs. But then it would go away. I think maybe it's cuz I got excited or maybe made a movement when I swallowed my spit which gave the signal that I was awake.
Now that I'm awake. My heel of my foot is red. Irritated. It still hurts. Does anyone know what's the deal with this?

It is very common to feel pain in the back of the heels. If I remember correctly, the pain is the result of the body falling asleep and feeling an uncomfortable pressure point where the back of the bone makes contact with the surface.  Placing a soft pillow underneath your heels should solve that problem.

Thanks for your reply.
Hmm is it normal for my heel to still be hurting when I walk? It's red right now lol.
And umm why wasnt my body falling asleep? Was it because of the movement of me breathing deeply or swallowing my spit?

This happened to me once too on my heels. I stopped after about fifteen minutes though. Like oversoul said I would go with the pillow thing. Should be fine after that. grin

As far as I know, the pain on the posterior heel should go away almost immediately after moving it into a different position.  You might want to google posterior heel pain to be on the safe side.

Ideally, it’s best not to move immediately upon waking.  For the kind of phasing that you are trying to achieve, I recommend this free ebook:

While I don’t agree with some of his opinions, from a practical point-of-view, this is the best book on phasing, in my opinion.  You might want to give it a try. GL
