I have noticed lately that every so often, I am feeling vibrations, even throughout the day, when I am not even attempting an AP.  Sometimes they can be quite strong, especially through the head the shoulder region. Is this common? And does anyone know why this is? Thanks

Last February I had 3 nights of extremely weird events, that led to 3 months of constant inner vibrations. They finally subsided only after I started to Phase daily. The vibrations scared me because I have degenerative disc disease and thought it was nerve encroachment. I immediately went to my doctor, he ran tests which turned out negative. I then went searching on line for another purpose for the vibrations. That led to WebMed and and I found other people experiencing the same things I was. One guy at that forum told me about the AstralPulse.com and that led me here.

So you have experienced this too, and it's what led you to this site? Interesting! In my case, I never experienced the sensations before, until I actually started attempting AP's. After reading a suggestion to try visualization, I discovered early on, that I had no trouble visualizing a pulsing light which created strong tingling sensations, or vibrations. That part was easy. What hasn't been so easy is stopping these feelings from coming too soon, or leaving at all sometimes. Phasing stopped them for you? Isn't that where you lay still and just stare through your closed eyes?

Phasing is simply the act of changing your focus from physical to Astral. This becomes easier when you start to see your body as just a vessel. There is a member here named Noy who always says "we are 1% physical body and 99% consciousness". Once people start to believe this, Astral Travel becomes much easier to do. You respond to what goes on here via your five senses. They send a signal to your brain and you react to that. Thomas Campbell always says we were never in our bodies to begin with. He doesn't like the term OBE for he feels we need to get out of our "minds" or into our consciousness. This description can be found here starting at the 1:07:00 point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRar8IOwic8&feature=BFa&list=PLEB923BB17E5849A3&lf=plpp_video

So would that mean just lying still and being?...In other words, not attempting anything or thinking too much? But just waiting to experience something? We all know the power of the mind over the body, and I think that is why it is so easy for me to bring on the sensations required. The hard part for me is to stop thinking, or to Get out of my mind as he says. Thank you for the link. I will definitely check it out.

Yes, lying still and just being is a great recipe for success. No stress, no expectations, just plain being. Try this for awhile, but keep a log of your results, no matter how minuscule they might be. It all adds in the end.
