I hope you have a good time at the workshop, Nick. If you give a good review, I may check out one of his workshops in VA later this year.
I bought his latest book, Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook, and have been slowly going through it (and not reading ahead, like he warns against). So far, I really like his exercises and I feel I am making more progress than I am when I do the Wave 1 CD. Apparently the current Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook is a pre-release version, with the "official" Hampton Roads version appearing later this year. I think Bruce self-published this version in order to allow people access to it before the Hamptom Roads version comes out.
I do agree with Frank about him being a tad New Agey, but I just overlook that and am more focused on whether or not his exercises work for me. I think ultimately that would be the only way to judge whether or not he is legit.

Doug Hi Doug, When I was finally able to connect with that show via telephone I waited for a good hour before it all started and I was caught off guard with a mouth full of potato chips. Way past my bedtime so a gallon of coffee had me flying I'm afraid---lol. Good to be talking with you again, Doug. Take it easy, Gin

Having completed the weekend workshop entitled Afterlife Exploration Training; I wanted to share a few of my impressions with the members of the Astral Pulse. First, I would recommend the workshop without question to anyone who is a spiritual explorer, and who is also one interested in the form of non-physical service known as retrieval.
Through a series of lectures and guided exercises over a two day period, Bruce Moen prepares the participants to be of service through retrieval. He begins with an explanation of the Concepts and Tools of Consciousness. That is, such features as relaxation, energy gathering, and placing intent. He explains components of consciousness which he labels: the perceiver & the interpreter.
Bruce Moen answers participant’s questions along the way both sensitively, and precisely. He has a real knack for pinpointing the essence of a participant’s question, and delivering a lucid and thorough explanation.
As we chatted over lunch on the first day, I had the one of many opportunities to ask him questions. He always patiently listened and then gave his thoughts on the matter. I can honestly say the answers were very helpful to me in honing my techniques for exploration of nonphysical reality.
In fact, the next area he covered in the workshop was that of Techniques and Tools of Exploration of the Afterlife. While speaking of these techniques, he gives a complete description of using what he calls Focused Attention for exploration, Imagination as a means of perception, focusing attention through one’s nonphysical senses, shifting one’s focus of attention to other realities, and nonphysical “helpers”.
The weekend participants, of whom there were twelve, all were guided by Bruce in Retrieval exercises. Prior to these exercises, Bruce covered such concepts as the 3D Blackness, Focus 23, and the Belief System Territories. The exercises that followed were excellent opportunities for each participant to do retrieval, and then discuss their experience and impressions directly with Bruce Moen.
At the conclusion of the weekend workshop, each participant received a signed copy of Bruce Moen’s latest book, the Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook – A Manual for the Art of Retrieval & Afterlife Exploration, Audio CD recordings of all the exercises in the book, and a certificate. The ultimate lesson learned during the workshop, is the ability to begin doing retrieval work on ones own. I would recommend the workshop without hesitation. Information on dates and locations are always available on the Afterlife Knowledge website.
Warm regards, Nick

Hi Nay! You never know, you could either host a workshop, or have someone you know host one. The tuition is free for the person hosting. Other than that, there are workshops that pop up all over, or else his latest book and audio cd package. The latter is the model from which he delivers the workshop lectures and training exercises. Have you tried anything yet? How's is lastest book? Any really interesting things happen while you were there that stick out in your mind? Yes, I participated in the guided execises at the weekend workshop including doing retrievals. Each one was a powerful experience. Today I plan on going back to Focus 23 to do another one. Bruce's latest book is described somewhat in my "workshop impressions" post. However this is quoted from Bruce's website: "This Home Study Course is Bruce's fifth book, the Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook, bundled together with the six Audio CD set or the single MP3 CD containing audio recordings of all 26 exercises in the book. These exercise recordings guide you through each step in the process of learning the Art of Retrieval & Afterlife Exploration. The goal of this Home Study Course is threefold. First, to teach you how to be of service to our fellow human beings who have become stuck after death. Second, to teach you how to prove to yourself our afterlife truly exists through the contact and communication with the deceased you'll experience while accomplishing the first goal. Lastly, to use the Afterlife Knowledge you'll gain to more deeply explore and understand the very nature of our human existence, and beyond. " While I haven't yet read this fifth book, in looking through my copy I can say it appears to follow the workshop exactly. If you can afford the book and companion audio cd package, then that would be a great way to work on the training and exercises on your own. Be sure to get the package that includes the audio cds. You can access that page by Clicking HereAlso, I want to add a quote from page one of this thread by Adrian, as I feel his words are relevant to express based on what I learned at the the workshop. Posted by Adrian: Most methods of Astral Projection that have been taught hitherto tend to be too mystically oriented and beyond the ability of most people. The way Bruce teaches Astral Projection, which he calls "afterlife exploration" is still Astral Projection, but approached from a position which is within the reach of the vast majority of people. That alone is extremely important because Astral Projection is an ability that everyone should be able to embrace and benefit from.
A major key to Astral Projection, indeed any inner ability is use of the imagination which is one of the most powerful attributes, if not the most powerful attribute of human beings.
Bruce Moen teaches how to use the imagination in order to project consciousness awareness inwards to the Energy levels of the Astral.
The Bruce Moen method does not result in a vivid Astral presence to begin with, but with practice each session will focus awareness more and more within the Astral Energy levels until such time it will become a full Astral projection. Even from day 1 it is possible to meet with relatives who now reside within the Astral Energy levels and "return" with absolutely conclusive evidence that the encounter was real.
From my experiences at the afterlife exploration workshop, I would say that Adrian is correct in his statements. All the best, Nick

You never know, you could either host a workshop, or have someone you know host one. Hmmmmmmm...my brother and his girlfriend have a large home with lots of land in Florida. I just might have to start planting the seed in HER brain, notice I didn't say him..she wears the pants..lol If you can afford the book and companion audio cd package, then that would be a great way to work on the training and exercises on your own. Seeings how we actually won over $70.00 last night with my dream numbers..(thought that would never happen, but hubby proved me wrong) I believe that is where it will go! Thank you so much for the info Nick. Hugs, Nay
