SOunds good. I'll try it and report. I have been having trouble with rope cause it requires quasi physical action and tenses my body slightly and kills the vibes.

Greetings Omega,
Thank you very much for your posting this idea.
I agree with you that the mind awake/body asleep state is absolutely fundamental to any form of Astral projection success.
I am making this topic sticky for a time in order that as many people as possible can read and hopefully try this method and report back.
With best regards,
Adrian.

I'm trying it now. However, the last two nights I've just fallen asleep. I need to trying some other time of day yet. Thanks for making it sticky Adrian. I had it bookmarked so I wouldn't loose it. I've also subscribed to see how others are doing with it. I'll post when I succeed. [ ]

TB reporting:
I did it this morning and it got me into a very comftrable, solid and stable trance very quickly and smoothly. Better than the falling imagery suggested by RB in AD. (I would qualify it as a self-hypnosis like technique.) Did not go any further than that, though. No vibes or anything. I will try it again tonight and put more intent into it. Any suggestions on how to procede?
One question, Omega: You claim one does not need an exit technique. DOes this mean you just pop out after a while? Please elaborate.

Having reached the mind awake/body asleep phase (which is the same as trance), you can project in a number of different ways. Most people here seem to be assuming that this is a precursor to OBE. I am looking at it as a precursor to phasing which seems to be a much more controlled and reliable Astral experience. For phasing I would suggest achieving the required state, and then introducing imagery to take you into the Astral - e.g. a door which you walk through. This is the way the Robert Monroe and Bruce Moen methods work. You might well find that having reached this state the imagery takes over, and you simply get pulled into the Astral. Either way, it is most interesting to keep this thread sticky to hear of everyone's experiences. With best regards, Adrian.

I have many more technikes that are awsome. I can just come up with them very easy. I am hoping Robert Bruce will put some in his book. I have figured out you dont need either a way to get you into a trance or an exit meathod. I have APed just by MY Rope meathod I changed a little bit. Hear is how I figured it out if you continue to do the Rope meathod the meathod will keep you awake your body will still go to sleep and as long as you can keep your mind awake when the vibes kick in and gess what you have the vibes and your aready doing a exit meathod the rope meathod. So you will still leave your body..
I will post some new meathods in a bit.. Thanks for testing them Omega

YES you can if you keep on doing a meathod and no Exit meathod and i mean stick to it. You will get a feeling like a truck is rolling over your head you have prob experinced this before. But if you dont let the pain get to you and keep on pushing it will pop you out..

Let me inform you about the Rope method. Hmm lets see in Robert Bruces book it shows a person laying down and climbing up the rope right. Well it works much better if its vertical like your really climbing the rope. Also for the Rope method to work better put big knots in the rope a knot as big as your head. When you reach up only try to grab the knot imagine in your mind how the knot feels and imagine when you got a firm grip then pull with all your imagination. Also it works a lot better if you alter your arms make them into Rubber arms. When you see a knot and you decide that you want to grab that one. Use you rubber arms and stretch them up and up then grab the knot with one hand and PULL then do the same for the other arm. One at a time when your doing the Rope method the other way your pretty much taking baby steps. But you aren’t a baby so reach up there and grab one at the top. Also if your reaching with your left hand and grab a knot right say in your mind Higher then do the same with the right hand say HIGHER in your mind it helps allot.

Noxerus,
What particular program/cd do you use for brainwave entrainment? I am curious because I have experimented with several different programs. Lately, I'm using the Deep Meditation CD from Brain Sync. It seems to take me to a nice F10/mind-awake/body-asleep state when I use it. Often I'll get there without using a Cd at all.
Very best,

Nick, right now I'm just working with some experimental frequencies I have concocted myself in BWGen (based on ideas I got from spending too many hours analyzing commercial CDs), but I'm waiting for my Awakening Mind 1 manual to arrive so I'll be able to craft accurate sessions for the results I want. Awakening Mind 1 is somewhat of a manual for designing your own brainwave entrainment sessions, and even though I can't recommend it yet (haven't got a copy yet), I can wholeheartedly say just from looking at the table of contents that it has information I wasn't able to find anywhere on the internet (and trust me, I've searched high and low). Seems like that guy really did his research well. Anyway, if you want more information about it you can go here: http://home.att.net/~jamesbmann/Enlightened_Enterprises/home.htmAs I know it's pricey, I'll post a review of it here in about two months (at least one month until I'll get it, and at least another month before I'll form an opinion). Noxerus,
Many thanks for that information!! I will check out the link. Please keep us posted on what you find out. Maybe start a new thread at some point? Take care.

Has anyone had success with this technique yet? I have tried it for the past few nights and just gotten into a very deep trance but have yet to get out yet.

When your in the trance why dont you leave your body. By any means leave do the rope meathod or another meathod to get out. Dont just sit there. This meathod was not desinged for that.
