Aesthetics should be the only religion; poetry and dance should be the only prayer. To be creative should be the only way to God, because he is the creator; the moment you create, you are full of him.

"Tolerant, but not stupid! Look, just because you have to tolerate something doesn't mean you have to approve of it! ..."Tolerate" means you're just putting up with it! You tolerate a crying child sitting next to you on the airplane or, or you tolerate a bad cold. It can still tinkle you off!" - Mr. Garrison

In time you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. Maintain your self esteem, take and receive love freely and you'll be forever free to dream. Love like you have never been hurt and dance like no ones watching for life is to0 short to have a heart bound by pain.
If you planted hope today in any hopeless heart If someone's burden was lighter because you did your part, If you caused a laugh that chased some tears away If tonight your name is named when someone kneels to pray Then your day has been well spent.

Ferris Beuller said, "Any 'ism' in my opinion is not a good thing".
Not exactly a quote from a religious source, but it's relevant nonetheless. Any "ism" (ie; catholicism, judaism, communism, socialism) ALWAYS consist mainly of vocal fanatics and stubborn "dead enders" not open to new ideas....(or frightened little sheep afraid of what they don't understand)
Always keep an open mind, never lock yourself into a concretized belief system and expect to progress spiritually.

quote: PS so is Allah, Buddha and Shiva!
Allah is the face of a demon perpetuated by Muhamed a mortal man who led a life of murder and wife abuse. Buddha is dead in his grave and told his followers to "work out your own salvation.". Shiva is an idol and never had life to begin with. Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth, and the Light and ressurected from the dead. Remember this when you hear the final trumpet. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Chrsit is Lord.

My two favourite occult proverbs:
1) A little knowledge is dangerous (cf Allanon!)
2) To realise that you know nothing is the beginning of wisdom (everyone else!)
Two other lines I like, not really occult proverbs as such, just two good quotes which surely belong together:
1) The mind is like a parachute; it does'nt work if it's not open!
2) It's good to have an open mind; but not so open that your brains fall out!
Douglas

One of my favorite verses from the Word of God
1. 1 Corinthians 13
Love
1If I speak in the tongues[1] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[2] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

“Religions are different roads converging upon the same point. What does it matter that we take different roads so long as we reach the same goal?” - Mahatma Ghandi (my Favorite)
Birth and death are not two different states, but they are different aspects of the same state. There is as little reason to deplore the one as there is to be pleased over the other.
One's own religion is after all a matter between oneself and one's Maker and no one else's.

And now on a lighter note: Rufus: You know what the dead do with most of their time? They watch the living. Especially in the shower. Jay: I can't wait to die. Dogma *Life is a waste of time, time is a waste of life, so get wasted all of the time and have the time of your life. (Tom Waits) I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants. A. Whitney Brown Bart: "Christmas is a time when people of all religions come together to worship Jesus Christ." Bart: "There's no such thing as a soul. It's just something they made up to scare kids, like the boogeyman or Michael Jackson." Bart: "What if you're a really good person, but you get into a really, really bad fight and your leg gets gangrene and it has to be amputated. Will it be waiting for you in heaven?" God bless those pagans. --Homer Simpson Ahhh, The Simpsons, Good Times! good times...[ ]

"Men are afraid to forget their minds, fearing to fall through the Void with nothing to stay their fall. They do not know that the Void is not really void, but the realm of the real dharma."
[Please note dharma means "the way things are." This may seem overly vague, until you understand that the word "dharma" has been used to imply "the laws of nature" or "that which sustains the universe."]
