Have anyone heard about Shamanistic Journey or knows what it is? I heard the term today and at first thought it was something like AP but i really have no idea.

According to this video i found from a quick search, it seems like you are just supposed to meditate on the drums and some kind of "shamanistic journey" will take place...

I may try following that video sometime this week when i get time.

This should be akin to binatural beats used to stimulate certain brainwaves.
I think Shamanistic Journey is something that is necessarily full of spiritual meaning and/or revelation which isn't always the case in AP/OBE. I would also say those are more of a visualization and inner hearing experience than actually full non-physical awareness (as long as we can go).
Just my thoughts on this, definitely make sure. Smiley

Yeah. Listening to an 8 minute video and then having some kind of spiritual experience sounds too good to be true.

What is shamanistic journey and how you achieve it?

Shamanistic Journey?
Personalreality is the one you wanna speak with regarding that.

I believe he's on his own journey right now actually... Pathfinding, I think he called it.
I'm not sure if the two are related.  I'll let him finish that thought.  Smiley

So has anyone tried this?

It didn't do much for me. But then neither do binaural beats or isochronic tones...

I tried the video too but with no effect other then relaxation, which i would have gotten anyway without the music. Binaural beans didn't to much for me either when i tried them long time ago.

Most of the time, Google is your friend.

"The shamanic journey is a kind of mental or astral journey. If mastered, the experience is partially comparable with the "out of body experience" (abbreviated usually as OOBE) - experiencing a complete separation of the body of perception. The depth of trance in which the shamanic journey is done is not necessarily important for the result, but it is for how one experiences the journey itself....
the shaman performs the journey consciously and deliberately.  ....
It is important to have an issue to be worked on during the journey. Especially as a beginner, you should never start a journey without a clearly defined issue. ...
It is extremely important to define the topic very specifically. ..."
And on it goes, with much more detailed instruction about the environment, etc.

Shamanic journeys are indeed a form of astral travel, but it takes more than watching a video or listening to drum beats to do it.  There are general shamanic principles that help prepare one for the trip and it's most helpful to have a shamanic mentor to help.  Books on the subject can help too.  I've learned a lot from some Creek Indian friends in Oklahoma. Their knowledge is quite similar to what I've learned from my Celtic ancestors.
