Title: UNDER 18 AP goers
Post by: Andali27 on February 14, 2005, 21:40:42
I want to know how many under 18 AP goes there are in this forum.  You usually don't get much in the way of under agers trying AP cause there's other things for them to do but I wanna know how many of you signed up here there are.

Post, introduce yourself and maybe we can all help eachother down the road and create a 'beautiful friendship' (high on brainwaves,  excuse).

Strictly under 18 only but others can give hints and suggestions if they wish if anyone asks a question.

I'll start.  I'm Andali!  17, wanna AP real bad.  Next!

Andali

Hey, nice to meet you. I'm 18 and I'm currently studying Information and Communications Technology at Notre Dame University in Perth.
Where abouts in Australia are you from?

I was very interested in the Astral when I first learned about it, but it is currently a long term goal for me to astral project. I can program myself to wake up in a dream but find it almost impossible to consciously project. Of the times that I have become conscious (or at least semi-conscious) in a dream my memory of it has been close to nothing upon waking up and the actual experience was always very vague. This seemed to defeat the purpose of the whole practice. Consequently I am aiming to increase how clear and vivid my dreams are first and then give astral projection and lucid dreaming another shot.

Hey Alexd.  I'm in the lower part of Aus.  In Vic.

I've been attempting AP for a while.  Not much success.  I had something semi successful at one stage and never got there again and I also dreamt about having one as well as a spontaneous one that freaked me out and I tried to get back, swimming in mid air.  It would have been a funny sight too.

Just turned 17 on the 23rd of last month. Student in southwest Virginia, in the US.  I'd like to AP eventually, but haven't had any real opportunities to be able to fully commit myself to freeing time and etc but after high school that should be no problem.  8)  Music is a somewhat higher long-term priority for me, though.

Hey, I'm 16, I started looking into AP after I had been doing some hypnosis stuff for about a year and stumbled onto this site. I've had a little success, hard to remember some stuff though. Greatest thing I've achieved so far is Dream memory has improved dramatically.

Hi

Name's Brandon, age 16, been interested in AP for about a year now, and been in this forum for a bit less than that.  Have had a bit of success with AP...about 3 projections and a few that I would hesitate to call successful projections.

I would say more but I'm in a hurry.

Peace =0)

i have however been interested in the "paranormal" since about age 8.

I had always been trying to have obe's for a long time, and i had one for sure obe, but the problem was, a situation arose recently and i need to AP, so i am not quite a newbie.

this may confuse some, but my obe happened so long ago its hard to remember, and i don't know how i did it.

i found out about obe's from a friend of mine who told me about one of his and how we vibrate a lot in our sleep but you often don't realize it.

so i recently re-dedicated myself to AP so i can resolve my issue...

Good Day to you all,!

I'm 18 now (not stictly UNDER 18 but hey... I'm still 8 in my mind   )
I'm from holland, and studing for Technical Engineer.  ALways been interested in this kind of stuff really, just never got around to do research on it, untill now that is

Anyway, trying to get myself into the flow of relaxing / AP, etc. Just do it very once in a while now  (well the relaxing part )

Have had a light tingling feeling just prior to falling a sleep ( though not consiously trying to "meditate" ). Also remember the feeling of falling asleep, feeling yourself falling deeper and deeper (normally you wonder in the morning when did it happen   ). Though have to note this was after I got to reading ( and doing ) some excersises on the subject!

Anyway, dinner is ready, catch up on ya'll later!

Wow, I'm 22 and the oldest person posting here.  Jeeze, this has never happened to me before.

It's funny, I spend time with my wife's siblings, they're 14 and 16, and it's like, I never expected to be old enough to give someone advice on stuff.

Anyway, I feel really lucky, I mean seriously blessed even that I found out about the expansive nature of reality when I was 20.  I could have found out when I was 80!  I have my whole life ahead of me to explore the nature of all that is, and of myself.  It's fantastic.

Never forget though.  AP is just a single facet of our potential.  A really neat friggin facet fo sho, but the real purpose of it all is to explore ourselves, find out more about ourselves, our potential, and how to live life fully.  Watch how you react in situations, notice your fears and what things you avoid.  Life is just a quest to live fully, to overcome our fears and stop loathing ourselves for our inaction.  The best worship is to be happy, totally happy.  In the stream of life.  So, I look on AP as a goal, but overcoming my own limitations is another, more important and encompassing goal.

I can't wait to AP though, only been practicing a few months, and not really that thoroughly.  I do a lot more energy work than AP practice.  It'll happen when it happens, I say.

Well,my body is only 14.5 years of age...
But my behavior does not fit my age,so I'm a special case. :?
Ohh,and I unwillingly started a cult at school...
the normal people were interested in what I knew so I shared with them my knowlege about what I have learned here.
now they all think I'm their "grand sensei" and always keep coming to ask me for advice and do everything I say...they even go around convincing others to join!
this is what happens when a mind such as mine is granted the knowlege, and then shares it...
pity I don't consider myself being a good "grand sensei"  :(

My 2nd and 3rd were falling through my bed, on my stomach, straight into the RTZ on the same day/morning.  My first was a semi projection where I got halfway then was pulled back, ran outta energy or something.

*sigh* I hate how elusive they are, though I loved falling (probably the only way I like to fall).  I made the error of commenting about it to a friend, and now she keeps asking , "did you fall through the bed again?"  Grrr...  Actually, most people I've mentioned it to are AP incompetent and ask me if the bed broke!  :P

People like that are a bit frustrating aren't they, Andali?
I'm 15, and I joined the astralpulse forum because I had been into stuff like meditation since I was 11, and because of the school i went to at the time (I now go to a different one) I couldn't share my experiences with anyone.  I still normally don't, but the astralpulse is a great place to do that.  :D  I've projected, but I can't do it on purpose yet.  I projected several times when I was little, twice randomly about two years ago, and have had messed up-not full projections a couple times while trying to project since then.  I don't have that much time anymore with school, tho.  I don't get enough sleep, let alone time to ry and AP.
This was a really great topic to start! :) I didn't know that there wer so many people under 18 here.   And I like smilies

I'm 15 and I've been into this for a few months now. I'm also an introvert. I got Astral Dynamics and read the thing until I basically memorized it. Even then with all my knowledge of the subject I didn't see any real progress. Probably a lack of effort.Since I haven't  seen any notable amount of progress I sort of stopped doing everything. I've been learning more about myself recently and the reason I might be into this so much is because I have a personality disorder of some kind. I don't know when I'll start energy work and meditation again. Soon I hope.

Seeings how you started the thread, I guess I'm safe responding..hehe

Actually I'm very open with my children, ages.. 13yr, 11yr and 4yr. about my projections, meditation, ghost, dreams, you name it, I'll talk to them if they want to listen.  Dreams are always spoken about, of course I don't talk about projection with my 4yr old but yesterday I had a dream that he and I were floating in a large body of water on some kind of cushions, it was at night and a helicopter hovered above us, shining there bright light on us.  He was getting scared and I was trying to reassure him that all was fine, and then I woke up, only to hear him whimpering in his room, like he was having a nightmare. (this has happened more times than I can count now)  He comes into my room and I say.."did you have a dream that you were with mommy on the water?"  he says in a very stern voice, mind you, "NO..but daddy popped my balloon!"   Hehehe...gotta love it.

I've been finding that with my youngest he sees and talks to either just one person or more than one..we really haven't nailed it down yet.  I was concerned a few months back when he came into my room and looked into my dressing area  (which was totally empty)  and said... "oh, not you again.."  I ask who?  he said,  "he isn't the little boy"  I got the impression that he knew this person he was seeing was trying to fool him into thinking he was someone else.  I had to ask whomever it was to please leave before my son was satisfied.  He has also mentioned hearing a loud bang, like my daughter, which I believe to be them separating from their physicals.

I know my daughter 11yr, she has projected and has actually seen some kind of astral wildlife thing chewing on her foot..  it was purple, so Robert said it was nothing to be concerned about.  My son, 13yr.  a year or so ago he was a lot more interested in it, but ever since he finally passed my height.....wow a whole inch. :)  he has got better things to think about, I suppose..lol.  like music, girls (even though he won't admit that part to me..;) )  But he has had few things happen to him as well, infact this morning he was just asking me if I remembered when a object came flying off the shelf at him.

Hmmmm..I just rattled on and rattled on .   See what happens when you ask a Mom about her kids?

Oh..almost forgot..lol..  One day my 4yr was going on about something.....sheesh, I can't remember now, exactly what or how it came up, but I asked him, "what did you do in your past-life?"  I swear, without missing a beat he said, "fixing guns"  It floored me and my husband because he is some kind of genius when it comes to making different guns out of legos...they look like old world war II guns and stuff, really wild that he said that!!

Yikes, ya'll will never invite me back in here...I yack too much. :P

Take Care,
Nay

Feel free to post whenever you want Nay.  You're a mod, we can't stop ya, but on the other side of things (no pun intended), I think it's great that you're open to your kids.  The problem I think most of us have is that telling our families would mean, in their eyes, admitting to being some kind of psycopath.  I know I don't disclose all my little 'adventures' to them.  They can hardly deal with the fact that I 'meditate' (or at least that's my cover story) and when it comes to talking to friends, actually convincing them about something they can neither see nor understand is not really fun though in the end I laugh.  At the moment, one of my friends are convinced AP is dangerous, but I told her to try it and see that it isn't, she was like "hell no".  *shrugs* you win some you lose some.

Later!

I'm 17.
And I've been trying to AP for a while now. (A few years)
I haven't been practicing for the past many months but I'm gonna keep at it again.
I've had a few minor AP's in the past but thats about it. I also have had a lot of dreams that seemed too real. (Nothing bad though)

I have a question Dont know If i should ask it here. I have been writing down dreams that I had every night but there was no meaning to me. The other day though I found one page of journal logs read them and found out all had happened. only one didnt happen... The one tha didnt had skys the were orange and black with fire and smoke the city that I lived in along with others I went to have been decimated. I did survive with a small group but is this dream just silly or I dont know kind of a head trip (so many new abilitys I have been dicovering Ive had so suddenly)

Hi Ganamoha.

You seem to be in the same boat as me.  After a certain time, experiences start to pile up in many forms and you end up getting a whole bunch of 'wacky dreams' with really no meaning at all (though some argue that all dreams mean things, I think not.  What does someone chasing you with pinecones mean? )

I think it sounds rather interesting myself.  I've always been fond of dreams that happen just because they feel like it.  None of my dreams have meaning, even the ones that mimic Stargate (don't you love that show?)

I wouldn't worry about it.  Enjoy it!  Though I'm envious, all my dreams are stupid and warped.  There's nothing cool like what you wrote here!

Quote from: Andali27The problem I think most of us have is that telling our families would mean, in their eyes, admitting to being some kind of psycopath.

I guess I'm pretty lucky because my parents, well my dad mostly is really open to these kinds of things. He has even helped me learn some new stuff, like how to read minds (although I find that term rather crude), different kinds of meditation, and how to sense different things (mostly about their pasts but also what their really like on the inside) about random people. The only down part is that he can practically read my mind, so when I get really mad at him I always try to send my anger towards him so he knows just how mad I am (I am horrible, I know).

One of my friends and I have this weird connection thing going.  We're forever saying things at the same time, finishing eachother's sentances and other such things.

Actually, on my school bus, there's us two and two other girls, we suddenly shout out 'what am I thinking of' and we can usually guess right each time.  One of the girls had about seven straight hits.  We were using the Zener card images "orange circle, black square, green star, blue wavy lines, red cross"

It's pretty cool.

Back on the parents issue, both my mum and dad (mum moreso) like sci-fi but not into the whole 'believing' in things such as AP, tk, etc.  It'd be kind of weird actually saying it "err, Mum, Dad, I've been meaning to tell you something *deep breath*, I, I'm an Astral Projecter"

AP Annonyms anyone?

I also swim, play tennis, weightlift, and study uses of circles in AP and divination. (Well someone has too!) I am on an eternal quest for knowledge, and I plan on giong to college somewhere to major in music.

I got into to APing through my cousin when I was 14, and have not abandoned it since. I can't fully AP yet, but I have Lucid Dream,s nearly every night!

Actually I am very very secretive with my ability or gifts. My parents have slight awareness of it and call it a evil and shudder at the though. Luckily though the only person who I talk to the most about it is my grandma who is currently living with us. Many elderly have more of an open mind. The problem is that everthing is related to the bible or god and I'm not saying thats bad but it keeps conversation limited. I have just recently found out a friend who can do pk ( feel dumb for not even feeling her energy but I guess I just kinda shut it off at school) and she lives right down the street. Andali where can I get zenner card images?

I actually made mine myself.  Though you could probably do a google search under images for them and turn up some ones to print off.  I just found an old deck of cards and stuck some pictures on.  Type in Zener Cards and search of it.  I put colors to mine, red cross, orange circle, green star, black square, blue wavy lines.  Good luck!

Hello, my name is Fil. I am sixteen and I successfully had eleven projections so far.

I got interested in it almost a year ago after reading a book on Buddhism. I noticed the author mention something about astral projection. I got interested and I looked it up on the Internet. I emediety started meditating and attempting projections and here I am. Eager to justify my existence with O.B.E.s.

Hi there,
I'm currently 15, almost 16, and have been around here for about 2 years I think. I usually just read topics for information rather than post my thoughts here, which explains why I only have 1 post right now >.<. Anyway, I've begun practicing AP (again) during the end of last year since I had to discontinue my previous work due to school (academic and extracurricular activities take up a lot of time).
I've had a couple OBEs recently which is good news for me. I suppose the experiences are influencing me to share my thoughts with other people, since I can actually "get out" now. I guess that's about it. I look forward to reading about your experiences as well as those of the other members.

Title: The boy who people confuse for a girl...
Post by: Gaarden on April 26, 2005, 22:30:12
Hello, my name is Ben and I live in Arizona!  I am 17, a junior in high school (started kindergarten at 6, and was never held back), and I'm a liberal agnostic!  I was an atheist for a time, when I was younger, but that changed 6 months ago when I had my first true panic attack.  With the realization that I am indeed going to die someday, this obsessional thought has lead me to have prolonged anxiety and depression (and I still have it, too).  I have become deeply fond and appreciative of religious diversity, and it didn't take me long before I discovered the New Age movement.  I love the New Age movement, because it's a religion of self-guidance and self-discovery, without anybody forcing you to believe in something without question.  I soon learned the concept of Astral projection, and, because I can't accept anything as true or false without direct, firsthand experience and primary knowledge (self-taught knowledge), decided to find out how to do it.  Looking on amazon.com as a guide, Robert Bruce's book, Astral Dynamics was at the top of the list when searching "Astral projection," with 4.5 to 5 stars out of 5.  I obtained this book, and at the very back, there is a link to the Astral Pulse website.  The link is dated, though, and it split in two: the Astral Dynamics homepage and the Astral Pulse forums (which are here).  Fortunately, the link I provided redirected me to the Astral Dynamics homepage, which links to the forums here.  I have finished part 1 of the book, and am in the very beginning of part 2, New Energy Ways.  And that is the story of Gaarden, the boy with an entire city in his head!

P.S: My user-name, Gaarden, keeps making people think I'm a girl: the reason I use it is because it's unique, based on my last name (Greengaard).  Don't take any offense to it, but sometimes it's a little annoying to be thought of as a girl when you aren't a girl...

i know you are all alternative thinkers & highly imaginative/creative as well.
i'm curious...for a similar type book based in american culture what things could be included that would make it different from the H.P. series? things that are less fantasy like and more realistic...like AP & OBE's? (instead of flying brooms and magic wands?) just wondering if anyone had any strong feelings about what might have missing from the series...in your personal opinion.

i don't want to change the nature of this thread at all so PMing would be great ..............................whoever cares to reply

Mmmm. Greetings. I'm 16 at the moment, and in 2002 i think, I was in the local library, looking for books on "positive thinking", and I saw a book with a strange cover - Journeys out of the Body, by Robert A. Monroe: "hmm... interesting cover.. i wonder how long it took the artist to design it... Journeys out of the Body, eh?...hmm...I'll just borrow it.. It's got a nice cover.."

I got home, and flicked through it, and read a few of his experiences, and realized it's more than an interesting cover.. So I started reading it from the beginning. Then I borrowed Far Journeys, and then I bought Astral Dynamics...

I got interested in these stuff when i was about 13, i started training Tk and Energy b. dpm., and then i stopped a bit to focus more on school and such. I got really good in Energy stuffs. I could move some pens and things like that with TK and i was a little interested in AP.

Now again in the year of 15, i got interested again. But this time more in AP. So im hoping to succeed with this.

My name's Michael, I used to be on the forum under the alias Fat_Turkey.

I got into the spiritual side of life a few years ago, via "ki" websites. They were a doorway, albeit a retarded one, that lead me along to "psionic" practices, which I gave up out of laziness and bad habit.

Then I discovered meditation, and finally that somehow lead me to here, the Astral Pulse. I read Robert Bruce's NEW Energy Ways and got interested in Astral Projection. I bought his book, but my dog ripped it to shreds when it arrived. I bought it again, and now it's gone missing. T-T.

I'm still very interested in the topic, and spirituality has been a VERY empowering experience for me, giving me a firmer base to build apon to face the trials of adolescance. Though I do not recall many issues being guided by my spirituality, it certainly ruled suicidal thoughts out of my mind for good. Though there were times when issues were resolved (or not resolved...hehe ^^;) because of spiritual things, such as when I used runes to decide things.

Up til now I still have not had an out of body experience or a lucid dream. My dream recovery is good when I want it to be, but most of the time I get swept up in other thoughts and other things. I practice when I'm aware of myself and where I am...though I am still afraid of out of body experiences. I want to experience it, but I don't want to have to go through the exit symptoms...they just scare me. I always get the feeling that a grey is going to show up and scare teh bujeezus out of me as I'm going through exit symptoms (falling, etc, which I've felt before).

16 here. Good Ol' New Zealand.

Throughout all my discoveries concerning our minds, this has got to be one of the most amazing, yielding the most spectacular results. I have been interested in the working of the mind for quite some time (Image Streaming, Regulating Breath, yes and even hypnosis) and to come across this type of working (AP or OBE) has caused a major shift in the way I think of things. The possiblity of contacting Aliens, communicating with others in the Astral plane, oh, it is all too much.

Ironically, this is the 3rd day at doing these practices, I have been going quite intensely and so far, I have managed to cause my arms, and one leg to float to the point of me assuming I was in astral! Sadly, I did not concentrate using my Mantra and instead focused on the sensations too soon, it was coming tho I tell ya!

For anyone who says that it takes heaps of practise, like months and months, I would have to dis-agree. With the right techniques, I believe anyone totally devoted could achieve astral in a week. I also believe that my next session will pave the way to a whole lot of experiences in the Astral as it will be my first real OBE experience!

IMHO, dreaming and having a OBE would not be as good as an actual OBE or AP from a conscious state, through meditation. When you get really good at it, I have read that it can even replace sleep, like an alternative. Just imagine what you could do in the Astral during the course of the entire night! Sheesh. This has probably been a very good motivator for me and possibly, even you too!

Feel free to notify me on any corrrections, I am really very new at this. Also, feel free to ask me any questions about what techniques I use.. I have done a lot of research lately on the topic but still have yet to check out that Phasing techniques of Frank's (which is impossible to not 'get by' probably because it is so darn effective, and challeges all the other techniques to date! Thinks revolution)... Anyways, sorry for the long post.

Cheers all...

Hey. I'm 18--will be 19 in a month--and have been interested in paranormal stuff for... well, as far back as I can remember.

And AP and meditation... Well, that's more of a new interest that came about a couple years ago for reasons I don't recall.

I haven't actually had a successful AP yet--unless you count this dream that someone said could have been a Dream-to-AP or something like that.

But I have gotten better at keeping my body still. Now, I just need to work on calming my mind.

You've all enticed me into writing; Ive been reading these forums almost religously for about 10 months but have only just registered.

I am 17, i have had not ap's, but have had vibrations before. Im interested with everything on these forums. The reason i got interested in it is actually from watching a documentary called "the men who stare at goats" - weird things that a military group did, it include pressure points and killing things with your mind (<- not interested in btw, teh). I went on the internet to look up pressure points but couldnt find it so searched for OBEs which was minorly mentioned and then i got into it. I therefore maintain that it is my destiny to AP !!

Sorry about rambling, i do this all the time :D

ps: i am also very suprised about the number of people round this age, i thought most were older.

I've dabbling with Magic, Astral Projection, Healing, and the such for about 4-5 years now.  It has only been this past 6 months in which I've become serious about AP and Healing. (As in actually trying and not giving up after two attempts.) I've had two conscious AP's since and I can see auras'. (Woot!)  I live in Minneapolis, MN. Umm....That's about it!

Next!

Hi! ^_^ I'm Lena, 15 years old.

I've only started to become interested in AP last summer... or.. the summer that just ended shall we say? In the short period of time I managed to learn lots, and had experiences as well! I'm still learning and trying, though.  What really got me interested in spiritual stuff was a book a read by Sylvia Browne.  At first I had doubts, but when I actually experienced it, I knew it exists.

I'm 16.  I was about 4 or 5 when the thought that I was more than my physical body came to me. I remember looking in the mirror for a long time saying "Who am I?" until I realized that the person looking back at me .. wasn't, couldn't possibly be me.  Then, at 14 I came about a website pertaining to the out of body experience. I became obsessed with the idea of leaving my body. For 6 months, I didn't experience one conscious OBE, although there were several times when I would hear loud pops, door slams and voices talking about me.

Finally though, things started to pick and I've so far has 32 OBEs. Most were .. I guess you can say partially by will, if that makes any sense. I would try to go OBE, fall asleep and then have, maybe, one or up to three in the same night.

Now I am at the point where, after having read Monroes books and Franks mind/belief-twisting topics on phasing, etc. I am not so sure that the OBE really is out of body in the first place. All I can say is that until I experience it, I am not sure of anything. Right now I am attempting to reach Focus 10 easily. From there, well.. just have to wait and see what will happen.

There is my life story. Enjoy.

I'm Michael, and I'm 17. I want to AP but I feel I have too much to learn on this plane first, before I try out the next. I have fears to beat, and personal truths to discover. I also have things to learn about other people, and about the world itself. I have more to learn about this place first, rather than the next. If the next world somehow informs this one, I'd gladly go, but right now my fear overcomes me, and I'm so confused...

I find it hard to meditate (mainly because I don't do it often) and my head is mostly filled with static. I'm not even sure this set of beliefs is the right for me.

So there's my story.

Quote from: tiberseptimI got into AP this summer when i started exploring the rest of the occult (yes AP part of the occult).

AP isn't necessarily part of the occult.  If anything it should be categorized under energy manipulation.  Just as the occult itself, Psionics, ect.

Sorry I pointed this out so late, but i felt I should speak my opinion even if it was a long since past post.

Wow, I've got to be probably the youngest person ever to attempt to AP. Anyways, I'm only 14 and I've been trying to AP for almost three months. I first found out obout AP through this book called "Psychic Energy". It told alot about different psychic things you can do like dowsing and astral travel. So then of course I get obsessed with it and start looking on my favorite thing. You guessed it, the internet! After a while of practising dowsing i remembered the astral travel thing. So i looked that up on the internet too and that's when i stumbled across this website. i've had some success in different areas (lucid dreams, remembering dreams, and physical awareness) and it seems that i'm off to a good start.

I was working on AP for 2 years the first time I made a successful ap is a year ago, when I get into the bath tube, turn on the water and slept inside the tube. -near death experience- After that incident I had a few more experience until this day -about 10-12- I prefer oobe's from lucid dreams. I love dreaming, daydreaming, lucid dreaming. I wish I could live just in the astral dimention. -surely that day will come-.

Ok..NOW, I'll not come in here again. :)

I dunno, I didn't take the time to read everyone...But I'm close to the youngest, I'm 12. I have a friend, she is real close to me, she has became my teacher, I found astral projection and she told me all about it. I've gotten to where my solar plexus vibrates, but I tend to freak out and get out of it. I'm going to try again tonight and see if I can get past it...Happy APing :)

haha well i'm 17 and have been astral projecting for quite a long time now. I used to be quite spiritual and deep. One day while searching for good stuff to read i came across all sorts of interesting articles including some on astral projection so i gave them a lookover and starting trying to project. I didn't get my first successful projection for a few months but after my first short experience i improvised my techniques to give me a stable method of projection.

I have managed to teach a couple of friends of mine and somebody who contacted me from australia over msn how to ap. I would be glad to help out anyone who is having trouble with their astral projection or any questions they may have.

Hey, I'm new to the forums, my name is Trevor and I'm 17. 18 in a month and 2 days

I began practicing AP close to 6 months ago, and have had 4 total OBE's... none of them were too long or exciting though, usually I just get out of body and then freak out with excitement and lose it.

Hi, Im 17 and live in colorado. I've always had really strong dreams and purposefully had a lucid dream for the first time in like, 2nd grade. I can lucid dream whenever i want to, but i'm bad @ astral projection b/c the only time i can do it is in the afternoon or morning when i've been asleep for a while. The only time i really did it was when i was a raw vegan and i don't know if that had anything to do with it. I hope to get better though b/c i know i can prolly do it if i put a little effort into it.

Hahahaha

Those damn binaural beats get me over productive

For those of you experimenting with psychoactive substances, Marijuana SHOULD NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY!

It should be taken heavily, in large doses

Seriously though, I don't think it dulls your brain at all.  It brings you to an alpha state.  It really helps with creativity and inspiration.  I find its actually a really good tool for mind expansion.

television dulls your brain.  Marijuana strengthens neurons in your hippocampus.

I've smoked marijuana for several years, i don't anymore (well maybe on some occasions, but thats rare) , and with a majority of pothead friends, one thing comes to conclusion.
A joint here or there won't do you much harm, but if you smoke it regularly sh*t' is gonna happen.

The whole bad memory, and being a bit slower in your reactions, well thats not much of a problem. But frequent use of marijuana will lead to some changes that will come on slow but they are hard to kick, and can make your life go for the worse.

Depression is a big issue, feeling burned out, neurosis, being uncomfortable in social situations, your temper getting very short, a wide range of compulsive patterns in your behaviour, your concentration going down the drain,  it fucks up your nervous system as well as the damage you do to your lungs, which is really bad btw.

Most of these syptoms i have/had for myself, and all my friends who do smoke suffer(ed) from this.

I'm not trying to preach cause in the end you'll do what you will, and IMHO the whole sea of scientific research going pro or contra marijuana leaves you with a feeling that the reasearches can be swayed one way or the other like with any controversial topic in science (global warming etc.)

This is just my expirience, and hopefully it will make a difference with someone not making the same mistakes as i did. So my advice is if you are gonna use marijuana...
Be moderate ( and thats really not as easy as it seems),
don't do marijuana as a relief from your problems or a mood elevator,
don't do it with people you don't feel comfortable with,
and make brownies and eat it because its a sooo much better expirience than smoking, and it doesn't damage your lungs

Hope i didn't bore you to death, but i just felt i had to say this, and sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors

Wow.  Everything you just said is the polar opposite of what I experience from smoking marijuana.  I don't know what you mean by "frequent,"  but once or twice a week leaves me with almost only positive results.

I can't understand why you would experience depression as a side effect.  I actually use it to help my depression.  Feeling burnt out?  Its more like tired than burnt out, and its almost unnoticeable.  And uncomfortable in social situations?  That is the exact opposite of what I experience.  I actually use it partially so I can handle being with other people.  When I don't smoke for weeks, I have MUCH trouble talking to more than one person at time.  And even one person if I don't know them well.

I can NOT BELIEVE that you say it damages your nervous system because that is the very thing I use it to treat the most.  As a said, it builds your hippocampus, which is a section of your brain that fights anxiety and I think depression.  I'm basing this on my personal experience as well.  I specifically note that my nervous system feels messaged and relieved after getting blazed.

Can I ask you something?  Are you smoking shwag or something.  If you are, than I can totally understand why you are having problems.  I on the other hand only use the highest grade.  Shwag is full of carcinogens (you have to smoke more) and has more of the "bad" chemicals that cause paranoia and the bad high.  High grade is mostly THC, responsible for euphoria, enlightened experience.

I use a vaporizer, which is as safe as eating, but only lasting the typical 2 hours.  That way I don't have to cook it, but I can still avoid the lung damage.  Its also a more enjoyable high.

We are way off topic so it mabey we should start a new topic or talk privately.

Ha. Weed. I agree with both xblimeyx and Carervnstoy.  Its GREAT and then some in moderation. I'm young, yes. But for a while just recently actually I was going through, with my friends, about a QP a week.  Not, like your run of the mill bull crap beaner infested schwa(wicsoninite term, we got rid of the G)  its more like middies.  Anyway, we'd get up, pack a bowl, then roll a jay, then a blunt, then some gravity bongs.  Anyway, smoking that much just isn't smart, when you finally do come down, you realize how beautiful life is and it can be a trip in itself if you've been high constantly for a while.  As of right now, I haven't done any drugs in..12 days. Ha, but like i said, a joint here and there, or a few bowls among friends=GREAT TIME.  The only time I've ever phased was when I was high as a kite.  But, when you get to the point where you have to smoke, you've had to much.

On the neural side of things, the only negative side effect would be that the dopamine levels of the brain are dramatically lowered.....HOWEVER, even if you were smoking, say, an oz a day, the levels return to normal after no more then a week of going without.

All the best,
Werp

I totally agree with cavernstoy about the shwag thing. I usually only smoke chronic and everything's usually okay, but i have noticed that if i go a couple weeks in a row smoking every day i get a little bit slow, but it goes away after a couple days. Smoking too much is bad though, like my boyfriend smokes a lot b/c he can not deal with his problems @ all, so i think it makes his depression worse by allowing him to not deal with anything he is feeling, and now he feels like he has to smoke, which he doesn't like. He's also gotten into acid b/c he's getting bored with pot.

I learned about astral projection through isochronic tones. (P.S. Isochronic tones are actually found to be way stronger than binaurals) I didn't exactly know what it was. This was about 3 months ago. I started to look up a whole bunch of articles on the internet. Ever since about 2 months ago, I've been trying to astral project. And, whenever I get a detachment feeling, I focus on my eyelids and fall back. It's very hard to explain. If somebody could help me out, pm or email: killersquirlzman@hotmail.com

You do realize how funny that sounds right? :D but I've read your other posts so I understand what you mean. You might want to consider meditation as a means to tap into those memories (although it make take much more delligent practice than you think) which might in turn jump start the rest of it all together.

just a note, most spamming engines and programs scan for emails, so you should probably just edit that part when posting it up is just sticking your neck out for no reason when you could instead use the nifty private message features converse and perhaps exchange emails too. ;)

hey all!

I'm Ellie, 14 and from Kent, England.

I stumbled across this post in the last 15 mins 9:05-15 ish... (found the forum recently) and was relieved in a sense to know that I am not the only under 18 intrested. I have always had to keep these sorts of things to myself "'cos it's weird!" as many at school have quoted.  I've always been intrested in this sort of thing ever since i was little and had a weird "spinny sensation" when falling asleep several times. I was too young to understand and there were other things too (possibly linked? :?) I was also really intrested in hypnosis and what these sates of minds are like. I haven't as of yet been able to AP when i wish to and am attempting to do so with many tools (hence all the questions on the mp3 post by g n o m a d ...) and I think one thing i would really really love to be able to see/meet and or speak with my dad who died when i was seven. (If it is possible?)
Glad I found the forum and good luck to all!

Hi, I'm 16 and I've been trying to astral project for a few years now. The first time I almost did it was when I was meditating, but that was before I knew about astral projection at all. Then I researched my experience (it felt like the room was shaking/ I was shaking) and I found this guy's website and found out that I was about to astral project, but since I didn't know what was going on, I quit my focus and went about my day. Since then I've been trying to astral project before I fall asleep, but when I almost do it, I get scared and stop. I don't know what I'm scared of, maybe not knowing what's gonna happen next, but I hope to overcome it soon! I think the farthest I've gotten was getting my arms out of my body. :P

I'm Nina! I'm 16 and love playing guitar and reading and writing. A while ago I read somewhere that when you're younger and feel like you're falling out of bed, or about to, that's when you have some sort of astral projection experience. Apparently I've had them because I've had plenty of times when I was younger and nearly caught myself before I fell out of bed. (I mean I never did fall out of bed, but I always felt like I was about to). I started looking up AP, and found this forum. So far I've only managed to get as far as near-minor vibrations. I hope to get farther soon. :-)

Yeah, just like the person above me, I have experienced the falling out of bed sensation a lot of times, especially after camps or a very tiring work... But recently I have not been getting it anymore... I wish I would have known this stuffs since I was a kid, and I hope I could teach all the future generations about these!!

I've had those weird intense vibrations since I was a kid, and sensations of falling out of my body and lifting up and floating around up in my ceiling. The most i've had is a lucid dream.

I've been to scared to enter into an OBE, and I feel this is really holding me back. Now lately I have to tried to stop myslef from havning an OBE, but I don't want to do this anymore, I want to embrace it!

We also usually just do fun stuff like skydiving or something. I love astral projection and I experience it every night! Hope to see one of you guys out there some day!

I'm Olivia and I'm 17. I've been frequenting OBE forums since I was 11. After many failed OBE attempts throughout my lonely middle school years, I sort of drifted away from the community, but since my accidental partial OBE last summer, I have returned.

Well, I'm to lazy to look at all the other posts, so I don't know if I'm one of the youngest or not. ;P
I'm 13 and I got into APing because of psionics. I started psionics about 2 months ago, and just started trying to astral project about 2 weeks ago. I haven't done it yet, but I hope I'll be able to soon. =)

I am 18 and live in the US. It really came to me as a gift out of no where. One night I was going to sleep, and I felt my first vibes, then I felt like a was going through some kind of change. I was in a forest of somekind and everything appeared really vivid, colors very vibrant. I felt wind blow through me, instead of around me like in real life.

After that it happened again, and again, until one night it happened and I got scared because I started to fly into an old cabin, which I felt an evil being dwelled, so I prayed to god for him to take me to my body again, and I woke up. Ever since then I have had the vibes but cannot seem to get out.

I wish I never did that I really want to experience the good aspects of AP again, and would do anything to fly like I did, and feel the way I did, in this mystical realm.

my name is mark, im 14, but turning 15 in a week, so ill say im 15! I stumbled upon information on astral projection while i was looking up things on meditation. I have always been fascinated with the thought that everything isnt really as plain as it seems. I always felt that we were more than most people thought, and regarding the universe, i always believed it to be more than we thought, and that there are definitely other forms of life somewhere. So when i stumbled on to information about metaphysics, and AP, and OOBE's, and remote viewing, alternate states of consciousnesses, and stuff of that matter i was amazed. I stuck to meditation for a year, and i recently re sparked my interest in this i started using the gateway experience. I experienced focus 10 (a very deep focus 10 at that!) today, only 3 days after i started prating, hell, even my first try i achieved it, i don't even need the tape to get into it anymore!

Im 15 and I have been projecting for 3 years. I am quite skilled at it and I own my own website. It is http://www.astraljourney.org/ It has a forum with 56 members, 781 posts, and very reliable information. (Im not trying to advertise) I usually meet up with people on the RTZ and I either train them on how to do certian things (like create though form) or we just go on journeys. We also usually just do fun stuff like skydiving or something. I love astral projection and I experience it every night! Hope to see one of you guys out there some day!

So... i have this problem that when my body relaxes, i come really close to body asleep mind awake, but then when my body actually falls asleep my breathing turns real weird and sometimes my heart pounds really hard. i tried to get used to this and get my breathing normal, but i feel like suffocating. how can i get my breathing regular? i tried to think of something els, but then my breathing gets even more intense. oh and i found out that my heavy breathing is the reason why i am snapping out of it.

thanks for your help,

Is your heavy breathing being caused by your rapid heart beat, like an involuntary panic reaction? If it is, I have that problem too.  I've learned to kind of force myself to ignore it but since it's involuntary you can't really ignore it completely.  You either have to force your breathing to remain normal, or do nothing in which case your breathing gets really heavy and breaks your state of relaxation.  Kind of a lose lose situation I haven't figured out how to get around yet.  You might want to try phasing though.  That's a technique a lot of people on here recommend that's completely different from most traditional obe techniques.  I'm trying to use it to get around the rapid heart beat and automatic heavy breathing problem because the technique doesn't involve bodily sensations at all.

This is to be done when going to bed. You need something to focus on; if it is in view the moon, the stars, a crystal, a favorite doll will work well... Use whatever you like.

Just not a Candle or anything that burns!

This method involves the body falling asleep, and you should never leave anything that burns unattended. I usually use my crystal ball for this.

Place the object within your view and lie down in your bed. Just stare at the object as you doze off. The first few times may be frustrating. You may just fall asleep and that's it. But after a few tries, this worked for me.

Keep staring at the object. As your eyelids become heavy, keep staring. Eventually your eyes will close, but you will still be able to see the object. You will still be staring at the object. Sit up or stand up, and don't be surprised to see your physical body sleeping peacefully in your bed!

This works fairly well for me. When you are out of your body, do whatever you wish. I am still getting used to the out of body feeling (I achieved my first one only a month ago ), so I have not travelled any farther than the roof of our apartment building yet.

This time is yours. Just tell people that you are attempting this and don't wish to be disturbed.

- does this work for anyone (: ?

Let's try to give credit where credit is due. ;)

It's a valid projection method, if that's what you're asking.
Did I ever get it to work?  Nope.

Monroe Techniques For Astral Projection

Anon

Note: After having studied many methods of Astral Projection, I have found that this is the easiest to do. Monroe teaches these techniques in a week, but they can be easily done in a day, with proper devotion. I feel that this technique is superior to others because it doe not require intense visualization, which many people cannot do. enjoy!

(Taken from Leaving The Body: A Complete Guide to Astral Projection, D. Scott Rogo, prentice Hall Press)

One of the chief barriers people learning to project face is fear. Many are afraid that they may die, or be harmed in some way as a result of their projection. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Canterbury Institute, renowned for its occult studies, executed an experiment in projection involving over 2,000 people. None of them were hurt in any way by this, and now, three years later, none have complained of any newly arising problems.

Once you are aware that you cannot be harmed by projecting, you should begin monroe's techniques, step by step.

Step one:

Relax the body. According to Monroe, "the ability to relax is the first prerequisite, perhaps even the first step itself" to having an OBE. (out of body experience) This includes both physical and mental relaxation. Monroe does not suggest a method of attaining this relaxation, although Progressive Muscle relaxation, coupled with deep breathing exercises (inhale 1, exhale 2, inhale 3...until 50 or 100) are known to work well.

Step two:

Enter the state bordering sleep. This is known as the hypnagogic state. Once again, Monroe doesn't recommend any method of doing this. One way is to hold your forearm up, while keeping your upper arm on the bed, or ground. As you start to fall asleep, your arm will fall, and you will awaken again. With practice, you can learn to control the Hypnagogic state without using your arm. Another method is to concentrate on an object. When other images start to enter your thoughts, you have entered the Hypnagogic state. Passively watch these images. This will also help you maintain this state of near-sleep. Monroe calls this Condition A.

Step three:

Deepen this state. Begin to clear your mind. observe your field of vision through your closed eyes. Do nothing more for a while. Simply look through your closed eyelids at the blackness in front of you. After a while, you may notice light patterns. These are simply neural discharges. They have no specific effect. Ignore them. When they cease, one has entered what Monroe calls Condition B. From here, one must enter an even deeper state of relaxation which Monroe calls Condition C- a state of such relaxation that you lose all awareness of the body and sensory stimulation. You are almost in a void in which your only source of stimulation will be your own thoughts.

The ideal state for leaving your body is Condition D. This is Condition C when it is voluntarily induced from a rested and refreshed condition and is not the effect of normal fatigue. To achieve Condition D, Monroe suggests that you practice entering it in the morning or after a short nap.

Step Four:

Enter a state of Vibration. This is the most important part of the technique, and also the most vague.

Many projectors have noted these vibrations at the onset of projection. They can be experienced as a mild tingling, or as is electricity is being shot through the body. /their cause is a mystery. It may actually be the astral body trying to leave the physical one. For entering into the vibrational state, he offers the following directions:

Remove all jewelry or other items that might be touching your skin.
Darken the room so that no light can be seen through your eyelids, but do not shut out all light.
Lie down with your body along a north-south axis, with your head pointed toward magnetic north.
Loosen all clothing, but keep covered so that you are slightly warmer than might normally be comfortable.
Be sure you are in a location where, and at a time when, there will be absolutely no noise to disturb you.
Enter a state of relaxation
Give yourself the mental suggestion that you will remember all that occurs during the upcoming session that will be beneficial to your well-being. Repeat this five times.
Proceed to breath through your half-open mouth.
As you breath, concentrate on the void in front of you.
Select a point a foot away from your forehead, then change your point of mental reference to six feet.
Turn the point 90 degrees upward by drawing an imaginary line parallel to your body axis up and above your head. Focus there and reach out for the vibrations at that point and bring them back into your body.
Even if you don't know what these vibrations are, you will know when you have achieved contact with them.

Step five:

Learn to control the vibrational state. Practice controlling them by mentally pushing them into your head, down to your toes, making them surge throughout your entire body, and producing vibrational waves from head to foot. To produce this wave effect, concentrate of the vibrations and mentally push a wave out of your head and guide it down your body. Practice this until you can induce these waves on command.

Once you have control of the vibrational state, you are ready to leave the body.

Step six:

Begin with a partial separation. The key here is thought control. Keep your mind firmly focused on the idea of leaving the body. Do not let it wander. Stray thought might cause you to lose control of the state.

Now, having entered the vibrational state, begin exploring the OBE by releasing a hand or a foot of the "second body". Monroe suggests that you extend a limb until it comes in contact with a familiar object, such as a wall near your bed. Then push it through the object. Return the limb by placing it back into coincidence with the physical one, decrease the vibrational rate, and then terminate the experiment. Lie quietly until you have fully returned to normal. This exercise will prepare you for full separation.

Step seven:

Dissociate yourself from the body. Monroe suggests two methods for this. One method is to lift out of the body. To do this, think about getting lighter and lighter after entering this vibrational state. Think about how nice it would be to float upward. Keep this thought in mind at all costs and let no extraneous thoughts interrupt it. An OBE will occur naturally at this point.

Another method is the "Rotation method" or "roll-out" technique. When you have achieved the vibrational state, try to roll over as if you were turning over in bed. /do not attempt to roll over physically. Try to twist your body from the top and virtually roll over into your second body right out of your physical self. At this point, you will be out of the body but next to it. Think of floating upward, and you should find yourself floating above the body.

Monroe suggests you begin with the lift-out method, but argues that both are equally efficacious.

If, after all this, you still can't project, I recommend purchasing Leaving The Body, by R. Scott Rogo. It only costs $7.95 and contains another eight or so techniques. Not all techniques work for everyone, but chances are you'll find one that works for you in this book. Good luck!

You've got a slight issue here... because anyone who provides you an answer to this question won't be of any help TO YOU.  :)

You should be trying these methods out for yourself.  All of this is incredibly unique and individual... what works well for one person might not work well for you.  Just try out the different methods and see what works best FOR YOU.  :)

Hey guys,

I'm Calum, 17 years old, and I'm new here!
I live near London, England and I'm studying Philosophy, Computing and Music Technology at college :)
Since the start of 2012 I've been on a crazy journey of hapiness, sadness, drug addiction, apathy, motivation, and overall spiritual awakening. I left all the bad stuff behind and now I'm a clean spiritual kinda guy! I've lucid dreamed for a while, however I want to get better. I recently read Robert Monroe's 'Journeys Out of the Body' and it just blew my mind, so I'm eager to try OOBEing now :)

(first of all, sorry for my bad English, I'm very bad at it)

Hey,
I'm maxim, 16 (birthday 11 October 1996 :) ) years old.
I came across ap'ing 2 years ago but i only recently started practising again. (tried it before when i was 14 but stopped then because of my parents. They once asked why i was laying down in the middle of the day and i told them. They said it was dangerous etc. so i stopped trying it.)
I did some research over these two years and decided to try it again.
It is rather difficult to practise because i cant do it over day (parents + school) and i need to wake up early for school.
So only time left is in the evening, but i read multiple times that that isn't a good time to practise. :(
Are there others among you guys with the same problems? How do/did you solve it?

Greets,

Hi and welcome to the Pulse. I completely understand what you said about your parents. I would never suggest you not listen to them but I will say that they are uninformed. There is absolutely nothing dangerous and nothing to be scared of. I know you're concerned about not getting enough sleep but based on my personal experience, I would say don't worry about that. For one, the ironic thing is that the harder we try to AP, the easier we fall asleep. And if you do succeed and AP, your body is still getting the rest it needs. Other than sleep concerns, there is no reason not to try at night or whenevr you can. Again, I'm not telling you to disobey your parents but if you do, no harm will come (from AP that is, you may still get grounded ). That I can guarantee 1,00000000%.

Did you ever succeed when you first tried? My guess is you didn't or else you never would have stopped.

Good luck and keep exploring.

thanks for the reply. :p
no, I didn't manage to project, I even never had an ld (Read: never remembered that i had one, my dream recal is... bad.)

So your body gets the same amout of sleep when your projecting?
and is it right that, if i get out for the first time i need to keep it short? (i have Read(cant remember the past form of read) that somewhere and i'm wondering if that is true)

Yes, in my experience. Remember that the goal is to put your body to sleep but keep your mind awake and that's exactly how it happens. This doesn't mean that you can stay up all night trying to succeed though. Give it about an hour, any longer and chances are your trying too hard and you will just get frustrated. And if you're frustrated, you're wasting your time until you can relax again.

You don't have to. But I firmly believe there are two great reasons to keep your first intentional AP short (5-10) minutes. Actually, that's all any of us get sometimes anyways.

Reason 1: If you project too long, there's a good chance that when it's over, you will either forget it or just remember it as a good dream. If it ends with your awareness still strong, you can wake yourself up to write it down or do whatever it takes to remember it. Because once you have one, any doubt that you had left, will be erased. And knowing that the experience is genuine instead of just having faith that it is, will make it easier the next time.

Reason 2: This is the most important reason why. You will probably get close many times before you succeed. Each time you do, you will become more familiar with the sensations and feelings you go through. Well, you can only have a first projection once and you'll want to remember the little things you did different. The first time I succeeded, I noticed that things were a little different and I just knew this was gonna be the time I did it. It's not that I felt any new sensations or anything else that I hadn't already felt before. It's just that I reacted differently to the same feelings. When it happens, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. And if you can capture that little difference and recall it, you will be projecting like a 20 screen cinema. But you won't capture that feeling if you can't remember it.

Good luck.

One more thing, be sure and take advantage of the existing posts and search button. There's a ton of gold in dem der hills. Feel free to tell us about your experiences and ask any questions that you have. You'll get a lot more replies when you post in a different section as some of the older crowd may not peruse this section much. If you would like to tell us some more about yourself, there is a members intro forum. Keep exploring. :-D

I would go as far as to say that you will feel more refreshed the next day after a night of projecting. Whether this be a serotonin creating 'WOW' factor or that it is actually beneficial.. I can't say. I do know however that I personally have sprung out of bed with a big smile on my face 3 - 4 times a week for 28 years. :)

You don't have to keep it short at all... where did you hear this? it's more likely you don't have a say in the matter... and will be naturally short.

Hey ^_^
I'm Drake, I'm 17~
This might sound funny but, pretty much how I got started into astral projection, chakras, higher conscious, etc, it literally just POOFED into my life. Like, I started finding books, they just sat there like "HEY READ ME" and then, youtube videos would show up in the corner of my eye.. This continued, as if "universe was arranging it"?

SO ANYWAY. If anyone else under 18 wants to message me and talk about all these kind of things, that would BE AWESOME cause most my friends aren't there yet :)

Peace~

14, from Australia, found out about AP from another forum a week and a bit ago, and am looking forward to having my first AP soon, since I have been dreaming of flying like a bird for a long time, and it's the Winter school holidays here, a good time to lie in a warm bed and explore the astral  8-)

Hi, I'm 15, I live in Ontario,Canada, and I've had an interest in magic and metaphysics for as long as I can remember. Lately I've been attempting Astral Projection, but I haven't been succesful yet. My family feels very strongly against these things, and I'm glad that I have a place now where I don't have to hide everything.  :-)

Hello! I'm 18 and a full time student of metaphysics, the awakening, and all that is peace and love.
To tell you a little about myself. I'm from the state of Arizona, USA. I am a dreamer in every sense of the term. I love dreams, dreaming, and I tend to dream big in the physical. I have yet to project, however, it is a goal for me in the next two years to be able to consciously AP without too much hassle. It may take longer, but I think if I practice I can get there.

I'm actually very happy to see this thread, I didn't realize how young the people on here were. I just assumed it was an older-persons game.

To wrap it up, there's one more thing you should know. I'm part of the foretold 'Indigo Children'. The next minor step in the evolution of the human species, children with a natural aptitude for psychic powers. (To include AP, RV, chakra control, etc.). And in the months ramping up to the start of the New Age, 2012 I began to feel the coming change of age. When I say feel, I mean I FELT the coming of the energy of the new age.

And that's all about me.

Hello! I'm Jean-Luc, from Australia, and I'm 17 years old. (Turning 18 in October though. ;)) I only found out about this whole OBE thing toward the end of last year... Despite that though, I have come a long way since I started trying AP, and I have learnt some really impressive stuff along the way.

I actually had what I think was my first AP three days ago, so I'm not far off to being able to do it at will! :) I can also thank my school's year 12 retreat for helping me master meditation, of which helps one get into the right state. (I can actually activate my third eye at will now, although it simply charges my forehead with the tingles and not much else...)
